This beach is also called Ramachandi Beach. It is around 1 km from Chandrabhaga Beach on same shore line. The river Kusabhadra meets bay of Bengal here. This beach is on the front of Lotus Resort, which is very popular for small parties and night stays (the food was absolutely delicious for a delhite like me). This is absolutely beautiful place and if you are looking to relax your mind and body or click some great looking pictures with boating activities in background, I recommend this place. However, there are few things which must be kept in mind before coming to this beach : 1. Entering into waters is not allowed because here the water current is very strong (unlike other beaches where entering water is allowed ). 2. This place is far better suited for family, group and couples because since entering water is not allowed, people involved in consumption prefer the nearby Chandrabhaga beach. 3. You are not allowed to stand on the ridge of sand and sea to preserve the coastal line from ocean. What else can you do? You can have food in the Lotus resort which has standard prices and value for money food. You can take take a drive on marine drive. You can walk book a nightstay in lotus resort (which is a bit expensive ) You can visit Konark Sun Temple which is around 5 kms from here. Awesome place to observe the majestic sun rise on the beach. To witness the silhouette of magnificent natural art of sun rise, reach the beach before sun rise (timing varies with season, check timing beforehand). The beach is clean and recent tourism push by govt has resulted in construction of needed stairs, rest shelters, sitting benches, market places and proper placement of dustbins. Enjoy your stay on the beach with near and dear ones.

Nice place also called as marine drive

One of the best beach . 2km from Konark temple. Water level is very very High. High tides and waves are very high. Please be on mind, don't go more inside it. Some Andhra people doing their fishing man job. Fish price is very cheap. . Very good place.. please visit and have a great day.

It's a good beach as I remained a oceanographer so I know how deep is the sea of Konark, for a detailed illustrated information It has rip currents, which can be dangerous,at Marine drive there were red flag alert.as far as safety is concerned,it's certainly not a pure form of safe beach,as compared to Puri beach, but it's good and beautiful beach,ball I can say in precise it's an exceptional scenes,serene and Sublime, sight or tourist spot
