Hello friends don't come to visit this place as forest department not allowing anyone to visit butterfly park or waterfalls. I have visited today but returned with much disappointment 😞. I don't want you to waste your time.

A best relaxing place from city life, situated at the entrance of kondapalli forest. You can experience N number of butterflies during rainy season. Peak season is only in rainy season, from June to August you can experience huge no of butterflies with varrities of breeds. The park is in the shape of butterfly which can be viewed from the view point. It was developed by Vijayawada Adventure club in coordination with Forest department.

Park is wonderful.. but vehicles won't allow in to the forest.. we have park vehicles out side the park and start our journey in to the mullapadu forest..

Park yet to reach its potential...but lack of funding is its Achilles heel. Nature walk is good and helps de-stress... Avoid loud conversation, loud arrogant behaviour, enjoy the tranquility, do not litter. Carry water, snack/fruit, shoes, wear thick trousers(snakes), hat, rain cover during rains/ monsoon. One can spot several species of butterflies, dragonflies, birds and insects. Try to visit in small groups, avoid nature walk all by yourself. No mobile signal.

As per the guidance at the park, monsoon is the best time to visit, maybe mornings too. We didn't see many butterflies at noontime in December last week. Good for long walks of a kilometre or more and trekking to enjoy Vegetation, greenery around. Generally, vehicles are not allowed inside the park. There is no organised parking lot at the entrance. Good outing from city, but may not excite people with decent home garden or from villages. Not a place to relax, not suited for elderly or small kids who can't walk long.
