Very disappointed! Only around 10 things on the menu but only three available when we went on a Sunday lunch time. We asked for guacamole salad - not available - so had Greek salad...no feta cheese but avocado!!!! Only deserts were ice cream or milk shake (???). Twin chop not twin, whole red snapper was fillets. Suggest that in an area where supply is a bit haphazard that a chalk board would be better than a printed menu. Only one toilet for non-residents and nothing to dry your hands on. Gin & tonic - the tonic costs more than the gin. However, beautiful surroundings, gorgeous countryside. So much potential!

My wife and I just spent our 11th wedding anniversary at Kilima Kiu Manor and... OMG we were impressed! Firstly, the location is remote, stratteling the hillside overlooking a beautiful valley and surrounding mountains, you can literally see for miles, it is quiet and serene far removed from the noise and congestion of Nairobi. Secondly, the hospitality here is among the best we have received in Kenya, we were treated like royalty! The attention to detail was very noticeable... the hot water bottles we found under our sheets keeping the bed warm, the turndown service that set up our mosquito net, we woke up and found our car had been washed! The cuisine was exquisite! Chef Evans food was on point! Our room was spacious and well appointed. The manor has a colonial style that makes you feel removed in space and time from the hustle and bustle, we could truly relax. Horseback riding was fun and provided an ideal vantage for looking out over the endless green expanse of Kenya’s wilderness. Our only complaint was the WiFi was not working, but it kind of helped us to unplug and enjoy being at Kilima Kiu. We highly recommend visiting Kilima Kiu for a romantic weekend away.

It was amazing..the food was really good, hot, full of flavor. made on order :) the staff were chilled out, and such good company. The place is completely secluded...very peaceful, i had a tour of the manor and the place is filled with antiques and vintage Nairobi portraits... We later had lunch...then spent some fun time at the beautiful gazebos...Serenity πŸ’―

A beautiful gem seemingly in the middle of nowhere. Its a quiet and eclectic country home turned boutique hotel, steeped in history and romance. We understand that it was once a colonial home, originally built by an Englishman called Frank Joyce back in 1926. And the charm still exists to this day - from the interior design, landscaping and 4 o'clock tea with scones and clotted cream, it takes your breadth away

We visited just for dinner and had a great experience. The food was good and the service was very good. It's a fun historical stop with great views.

Beautiful place. A nice getaway. Unfortunately there is no sign as you exit Mombasa road. Just follow the earth road as shown on Google maps and you will get there.

It simply has an amazing view. I removed my shoes immediately so as to feel the green grass.
