The best view of the town of Chania where you can take amazing panoramic pictures of the whole town. There is also a church inside and the graves of Venizelos. A lot of trees and places to sit or even picnic in the area. There is no entry to pay to enter and it is very visited destination. Definitely a must visit one.

Excellent views and lovely little orthodox church. There are a couple of lovely restaurants and cafés only trouble is how to get there without a car. We took bus 18 from the local bus square and then decided to walk back to the city since it was not clear when the other bus would return to the city. It is worth it but a bit hard but we managed to get to another lovely beach just before reaching Koum Kapi.

Worth visiting it because of its historical importance, peaceful area full of green (chilly during summer), panoramic view of the city and its bay. Be prepared to see an abandoned historical monument, dirty corners and aisles and dozens of strays (cats mostly) all over the space. Scan with your smart mobile the relevant signs to dive more into useful info.

Lovely spot with amazing views over Chania with the sound of the cicadas in the background. I loved the story of the human flagpole and his statue. A truly inspirational story of heroism.

Very nice view to Chania and the bay. If you be there, maybe you ll have the time to enjoy a Drink in a Bar or Restaurant around this place with this view. The extremely blue color of the sea seems to be unreal.

Impressive views of Chania, a park which offers a lot of shade and coolness and the grave of perhaps the greatest politician that modern Greece has produced.

Worth going to place. It's just a park but the view is great. You can see Chania from the top and some part of the north coast. There are few restaurant with balconies where you can eat local food as well as drink beverages and enjoy the views.

Gorgeous view, beautiful landscape and sceneries. There is also a small and charming little church. The presence of history is strong nd very emotional. There is also a very tasty cafe nearby where you can enjoy everything together!

I am a Dutch tourist. My compliments for the person(s) who is/are taking caring of the stray cats here. They look healthy and many are neutralized.

Yes, the view of Chania even at night is great. Nice spot to "learn" history. It's a kind of a different (love)spot to have a conversation with your partner.

CAT SANCTUARY! CAT SANCTUARY! CAT SANCTUARY! 27 cats and counting reside here! I got lost walking in the park, and a beautiful calico got my attention and led me to their residence by the church. I rolled around in kitties and felt like a queen. There is a working tap with a bar of soap to clean your hands after you pet ALL THE CATS! PET! THE! CATS! PET! THE! CATS! PET! THE! CATS! Ps. The place itself is quite nice too, recommend donating to feed the cats and light a candle, as the cat sanctuary will undoubtedly bless your travels. 🙏

Beautiful setting with fantastic views over Chania and the Bay. Moderate walk from town centre, about 3.5kms. No fee but donations welcomed.

A visit here is well worth it not only to see the graves but the wonderful views you get from the surrounding park/area. This is the site of the graves of one of the most well-known Cretan stateman, Eleftherios Venizelos and his son Sophoklis. Just below the park there are two cafés where you can enjoy the wonderful views of Chania and the White Mountains.
