You cannot leave Chania without visiting this place. There are thousands of gyros places in Chania, but this place is unique and authentic. The gyros is homemade by the owner, and you really can feel the difference between natural meat and the industrial products that are often served in other restaurants. Moreover, the gyros is sliced with knife, which gives the meat different textures and tastes depending on the thickness of the piece. There are many gyros places in Chania, but if you really want to feel the “Greek experience” of a real gyros, you cannot miss this place.

Good food nice ingredients on a fair price, why only 4 stars? They didn’t have chicken when we went, also the sauce is only on the top of the gyros so from half of the meal you are only eating meat, I personally like a better distribution of ingredients. Still the bread and the meat is very high quality.

Very good and clean place. It’s very popular, so the chicken was finished when we arrived for a late dinner, but we really liked our pork gyros, great quality. The bread is very tasty so I recommend the double pita, the meat is also excellent (you could really taste that it’s pork meat without too many additional aromas or too much salt needed). It’s a simpler gyros than others, no fries/no salad, but ingredients were good and we enjoyed it a lot. Well done!

The best gyros in town. Went for lunch and dinner two days straight. The people are so nice. You need to eat here. Talked to owner and he said meat is cut fresh everyday, unlike all the other places. You can tell it’s not fresh when they are huge spirals of meat (it’s been frozen).

Excellent gyros with the best ingredients we have tasted in a long time. Organic tomato and onion with distinctive taste. The home made tzatziki is awesome. The best traditional and old-school souvlaki you can taste in the city.

Excellent souvlaki with pork or chicken gyros. Only two options for spread, tzatziki and yogurt. Tried the yogurt and was truly refreshing. The gyros was also not heavily seasoned, making it a very good choice for the very warm summer days.

One of the best gyros I've ever had. They basically have two things: gyros and large gyros! I guess that is why it is so good, they focus on one thing and get it perfect!

Stopped here for a quick bite between buses, shortly after arriving in Greece, and was blown away with a real cultural experience of delicious gyros and a quick shot of spirit as we walked out the door.

Good but a little basic and dry. Also yogurt is only on the top of Gyros. Menu is limited.

Tasty! Just Wish the gyros came with chips inside. Good prices. This gyros was better than the ones we tried from kostas and delish streat food story. Found a small hair in the paper used to wrap the food which was a shame

The best chicken and pork gyros in Chania!! The owner Giannis is very friendly and even shared some Raki with us. If you are visiting Chania I would put Το Σουβλάκι Όπως Παλιά on top of your list.

I read the reviews on Google Maps and I thought to give it a try. I agree, it is absolutely gorgeous. The pieces of meat are chunky bit not greasy. I thought I would miss the chips, but actually it was way better this way! The service was super fast and the staff very friendly. It is saved as one of my fav places now.
