Guest house bake is a nice guest house in the heart of Girokastra. From the terrace it has spectacular views. The rooms are comfortable and with everything you need. Very friendly owners and made us feel very welcome. Highly recommended.

Stayed here with my family. Very nice ambient. Super friendly owners. The guest house is less than 10 walking minutes from the castle. Kids loved to play with the dogs.

So cute! Little vinyard all around the property, and they make their own Raki, too. Perfect location, just tucked off the beaten path so it's quiet. The owners are lovely and there is a little menagerie of animals, too. Rooms are spacious and affordable. Definitely recommend a stay if you are in Gjerokaster.

They tried to scam us on Ai**nb by publishing a low price and then changing the price when the reservation was already accepted and paid. We paid a price for 4 people, as advertised, but when they accepted the reservation they said that was the price for 2 people and we should pay extra upon arrival. Luckily Ai**nb returned the price, but these people are not trustworthy.

Our host Harikla and her husband have been very accommodating and made our stay pleasant. Great communication, basic but delicious breakfast, stunning views in the morning, clean room, quiet location. We needed some help to navigate the toads with the car and our hosts kindly offered to help. I also appreciated the free private parking. The homemade fig jam was delicious! If fresh air is important for you, make sure to ask for a room with windows as ours had none and it was difficult to breathe at night.

The owner was such a nice women, who is fluent in several languages (Italian, English and even more). She made us feel welcome from the start, with her home made lemonade and the extensive breakfast, which you can enjoy on the terrace. Almost felt sad leaving. It felt like a breath of fresh air. Great location high up in the hills above Gjirocaster. Do not try to walk here with bags as the roads are cobblestone and steep! The owners will pick you up from the bus station for 600 Lek which is worthwhile investment. Once here the guesthouse is close to everything. 5 mins to the bazaar and then onto and upwards to the castle or down to the Cold War tunnels, both must sees. There is a rooftop bar (with much better beer than the main balcony restaurant). Basic rooms with fan and private bathroom. Typical Albanian breakfast.

The place is wonderfully located overhanging the Drin valley and next to Gjirokaster castle. The hosts are lovely and make you feel at home. We highly recommend.
