Ananthagiri Hills, nearly 80km from Hyderabad main city, as you can see in name "Hills" you may feel it would be hill but not the way you think. In rainy season it's awesome you can take a look at the pics I took. There are some points I want you guys to know: 1. If you're traveling with your own vehicle 🚐 then it's good but you can go with some trip planners too as they'll arrange the night stay n all but if you're on your own then you'll have to plan accordingly. 2. Roads are good, you can easily drive. 3. Make sure you start early in the morning around 4,5am so you can see the sun rise there. 4. There won't be any restaurant nearby at least where you can find something to eat so be prepared and have everything along with you coz you won't be getting even water bottle there so have the foods and enough water bottles according to your stay there. 5. You won't find washroom there, so help yourself accordingly. 6. Once your done there then around 15,20km there's a Kotpally Reservoir, must visit place. There might be some points I might be missing but I hope my provided details would help you a lot I'm sure. A humble request to make the places neat and clean, it's our responsibility. Thanks

This is one of the good trecking spot and this place is not far away from Hyderabad which is just around 80-85 kilometres we can travel on bike, car, bus. During winter season we can enjoy the beautiful mountain views and greenary. I have visited twice this place. One was during summer and Winter. Better to go winter season. In the Summer all the grass turns into grey colour so it looks awesome.

Ananthagiri Hills is the go to spot for a weekend. People here are very friendly. If you're planning for a long drive, it is the best spot to go and enjoy the pollution free nature. You will love the place for sure. You can book resorts. Or you can find hotels at Vikarabad, from there you can travel. If you're willing to stay at Vikarabad. You can get a view of super cool sunrise Morning at some spots.

Can be developed as a good tourist spot but as usual CM is busy on giving freebies for the sake of his chair. So forget the development. Roads reaching to the hill is your worst nightmare. Nothing is there apart from a watch tower. Sign boards are also very rare if you are a new visitor.

Great weekend getaway from Hyderabad. Just 85kms from my house, to augment your travel experience, get on a bike and ride, bcos I went there in a car couple of weeks ago and didn't feel it but on 23rd Jan I rode a motorcycle from hyd and it was a blast. Don't forget to go to viewpoint and watchtower. You have to do some trekking to get to watchtower which is good. Overall, a nice place to take your loved ones, the place is safe for families and girls provided you go on the weekends.

To this place you should not plan in the month from Jan to June. This place will be filled with greenary in the season from July to Dec.So it plan accordingly. Also there is a cave temple of Padmanabhan Swamy and you can spend time there also.Plan with family and carry your own food. There is a lot of places to sit and have your food.Overall good place for one day trip.

It's a beautiful place... Don't go with much expectations... One shouldn't miss boating...If you are in interested in trekking, you should visit hills... Restaurants are not there...view point is there... Waterfalls is very small...It is not a place for elders as it is fully sloppy... Resorts are available if you want to stay for 2-3 days...

A 2 hour drive from Hyderabad, is a treat for people who love long drives to hills and also takes you away from the hustle and bustle of city life during a weekend. Once reaching the place, one immediately feels a drop in temperature - a soothing and pleasant weather welcomes you. Viewpoints - there are 4-5 view points from where one can see the full Ananthagiri Hills and few of those view points happen to be the distanced parts of the hill station wherefrom one gets to experience scenic beauties. One must visit the Anantha Padmanabhaswamy temple - it worth the visit with many people visiting the same. The lake although not a big one is pretty beautiful surrounded by food stalls and fish market. Monsoons are the best time to visit the place especially when one wants to run away from the hectic life cycle and heavy traffic of Hyderabad. The skies are clear and the air is fresh. So, all the nature lovers, hill lovers, photography lovers - Ananthagiri is the place to visit if one resides in Hyderabad or is visiting Hyderabad.

Scenic beauty just 80kms from Hyderabad, with beautiful hills, lake and nearby water activities. Keep in mind only good to visit the place during rainy and winter seasons. I prefer rainy as it exposes natures pure beauty, good place for trecking lovers and nature lovers.

Nice view from the lookouts. Quiet and peaceful place if you go on a weekday. Could do with some food and chai outlets but suspect they are deliberately not doing that to reduce littering. Sad that people are so irresponsible.

Anantagiri Hills are a wonderful tourist destination for those seeking nature's beauty on a day trip from Hyderabad. About 80 kilometres from Hyderabad, you could get there in 2 hours with a modest break in between. There are some decent breakfast places that you can stop along the way if you leave from Hyderabad at 8am. Better to arrive at the viewpoint before 10.30am so that you have a peaceful crowd free experience. The roads are terrible though and you may want to use a driver if navigating difficult stretches isn't for you. The other sad part is that this beautiful forest range is under attack from us tourists who throw our garbage around indiscriminately though there are trash cans and the forest ranger office does the hard work of keeping the trail clean. It is a modest 30 minute trail that you will enjoy. Trekking Shoes are a must! Have a great time here with friends and family. Please ensure you do not throw ANY garbage outside of a trash can.
