The only good thing is nice ocean view. Lots of terrible experiences: 1) the room smelled fungus, definately from the old AC. Couldn't ber the smell, so we had to wear masks while sleeping. changed room three times, but nothing improved. 2) everything in the room was damp. The bed was like a wet sponge. I turned off the AC b/c of the fungus smell, the the entire room started to cry from the floor, from the wall, from the mirror and from everywhere, so had to keep it on. 3) very slow service. It took 6 hours for changing rooms. which means we wasted our first day for nothing. there were no apologies from the hotel. 4) suspicious water quality of the pool. The water color was greenish yellow and I felt itch when I was in the pool. 5) very poor wi-fi connection. I lost my connection almost every 30 seconds 6) half of restaurants were closed. Restaurants in service offers expensive but not tasty food.

Nexus resort is beautiful and generally well maintained, and The service was good too. However The initial room we got was quite worn and old and felt dirty, we requested to change to a different room which ended up being much better. Loved the private beach that was accessible from the resort!

Unfortunately a disappointing visit. Hotel was maybe 5 stars in the 90s but now only 3 stars. Service standard is terrible. Our child fell and bumped their head, we asked the reception for a bag of ice and it never arrived to our room. Then called 5-6 times again and it never came. Phones system doesn’t work either. Breakfast area is cramped and crowded. Beds were comfortable but we found cockroaches in our bathroom. The beach is the best asset but the rest of the place old and not worth the money. Food is very expensive and really low quality. Was charged 33ringgit at the pool side for a beer that was 17 in the gift shop. Something’s not right! Go elsewhere!!!!
