The famous nahar veg restaurant chain of Ooty and Bangalore. Breakfast dosa and south Indian lunch. would recommend dinner of North India cusine. Even Jain food is available . Pure vegetarian restaurant. Located just a mile from kotagiri park. Open even during strike and shutdown. Very good ambeince scenic location. Family restaurant.

Prana is a pure veg restaurant that is inside the Nahar hotel. Most of us had south indian veg thalis, the only option that they said was available in prak lunch time, thou the menu had North Indian mentioned as well. The quantity of gravy provided was limited in comparison to their charge. The lawn adjacent to the restaurant looked good. Overall it is decent considering the limited options of quality fine dining options in Kothgiri.

We as a family of four adults drove 30 minutes anticipating we could have a good vegetarian meal at prana. When we reached the restaurant we were told we can't have a meal because there was a party going on. We requested the front desk multiple times to give us a meal as we drove all the way and my mother has low blood pressure and most other restaurants were closed in kotagiri. After pleading them the front desk person Jagan and manager kushal turned us away. Just shows what type of hospitality and training the team has undergone. All we wanted was a simple meal and its absolutely disappointing to be treated like this! We are definitely not going there again.

A boon for a town like kotagiri to have a place like this...

Prana is a pure vegetarian restaurant inside pure vegetarian resort called Nahar retreat. The resort looks very nice and the restaurant was also very nice. The service,food and pricing is perfect. Coming from Mumbai, we love North Indian food alot and we are sometimes worried that we may not get the proper flavours in south but Prana surprised us! The flavours were on point and so perfect!! Excellent excellent food. Highly recommended and will definitely visit again!

Truly a good place to have vegetarian food in Kotagiri. Prices are reasonable. It’s inside the Nahar Retreat & Spa, the view from outside the restaurant is awesome. Take some scenic photographs.

Even if you are hungry Don't go to this restaurant. My experience with this restaurant on 16th April was very bad. They are not polite to the customer and they don't use Sorry, Excuse, Thanks. Such a great people they are.

Nice ambience and taste is also good of vegetarian north Indian food.Only thing which I want to add is that breakfast is only allowed to people living inside Nahar Retreat as restaurant is inside it.

This restaurant was a life saver, we were totally drained by our trip, we went in around 2PM, and had an excellent variety of food. All of them tasted like heaven, we won't get this quality of food nearby. Must try, completely worth it.

Taste was upto the mark. The outside view from the restaurant was spectacular. Music was light and soothing. Only the fine dine experience was missing due to the negligence of the server.

Beautiful place and location. Restaurant is ok, though if the service is available to sit out, that would be great. The food is excellent in taste but the portions are like Kid portions. The pricing is way too high for the kind of portions served though the taste is very good. Service is ordinary and nothing great. Parking space is inadequate and people are not helpful to find you a parking space or to ensure that guests park in an orderly fashion to maximise the available parking space.

Worst and greedy people hotel .. they think they are best in the world .. never visit this place and staff are very rude and worst behavior.. they never let anyone stand anywhere inside the hotel ..they think they only have property in this entire world.. worst behavior..and money mined people..

It's the best place in Nilgiris. The food is awesome . Morning breakfast to Dinner everything is good . Staff are very courteous . The rooms are neat and clean and the view from here is too scenic .
