Horticulture lovers are gonna never want to leave this place. You will find a variety of garden plants from all over the globe, plants you would have never seen in your life. The cafeteria is available with hot drinks and light snacks. You can chill on the benches and take in the peace and serenity of your surroundings or walk around the park to get your daily step count goals! What amazed me about this particular botanical garden was that it is very well maintained. Every plant and tree is meticulously groomed and you can see how much love and care has been put into the place. Definitely a must go place in Ooty.

This is one of the most & must visiting place in Ooty. Very beautiful garden... magnificent lush green lawn and a very colorful glass house with variety of flowers. The whole landscape with varieties of flowers, lawn looks amazing. Very well maintained place definitely worth a visit. The entire space is divided into smaller segments & theme based garden. Weekdays and off-seasons would be the best time to enjoy the garden. Take time to go all the way up. You can spend 3-4 hours easily.

Is Beautiful and mind-blowing and we'll maintained Garden by the government. It's a best place to visit with friends and family. As I m coming from coastal area. Hilly area experience was beautiful n most memorable. I had visited this place during my childhood. Climate is very cool. Best time to visit here is during summer. when the flowers are in full bloom. According to locals they say not to visit in winter. The entry ticket for adults is ₹50 and ₹30 for children. Four wheeler parking they charge 100Rs. The garden is so neat n beautiful. The place is huge with few green houses, carved trees, bushes and shrubs. It has a variety of rare plants and flowers all well preserved. They have a wide variety of cactus n succulents, they even sell few plants n succulents at reasonable prices. Overall it was a good and memorable experience.

Once a wise man said “After women, Flowers are the most divine creation” I think that person been here. It’s a safest place to explore with your family and friends. You won’t be disappointed. A wide variety collection of plants and herbs. *one thing I personally suffered was the parking.you can use the paid parking facility provided by the local people with is quite expensive than the entry ticket. But also you can use the government parking facilities which is cheaper than the one I mentioned. *Bathroom facilities also available inside the park. *Even you can buy the plants from inside in case if you are interested in. It is cheaper than outside local sellers.

Face mask is mandatory, no entry without that. The garden is good and vast. Tea, coffee are available inside the premises. There is a small shop that sells tea powder, oils etc which says it’s from govt forest department. It was raining when we visited during 1st week of July. Overall a good experience and can explore variety of plants flowers and huge old trees. It took almost 2 hrs to complete the tour.

Established in 1848, it occupies an area of more than fifty acres, and is home to a wide variety of flora, many indigenous to the area. Reports suggest that it took about ten years to complete the garden, as a portion of jungle and swamp had to be converted into a garden. There are lots of visitors and some of the flowerbeds and flowers, specifically inside the glass house have been very tastefully displayed. Well worth a second visit...

The garden is truly beautiful with different types of plants, flowers and cacti. Herbal trees and herbal plants of different varieties can be seen. The plants are arranged in different shapes and letters and it's so vast that it might take you more than 2 hours to cover. Truly very beautiful ❤️ Entry charges is ₹50 per person and there's canteen inside with snacks option

This is the best Garden of Ooty. Very clean, well maintained and it's really so beautiful. One finds so peace and silence here. Also, there is a beautiful glass house. Embedded with variety of flowers and herbs, it's really such a wonderful natural garde. You will feel yourself under the nature's beauty. Washrooms facility is also there. So, a really good family Garden to visit.

Serene and absolutely beautiful. Well maintained and has a huge collection of flower plants. Do read about its history. Best time is probably in morning. You can easily spend 2 hours here. Just outside you will find Tibetan market and a Chai stall. Only cash accepted at ticket counter.

Now this is not the peak season. But still the garden maintaining well. It will look far more beautiful if you are visiting while season of March to May. Expect crowd always. Try to visit before 3 pm to spend your quality time with the beauty of flowers in the beautiful background of the well maintained garden. Please keep in mind the sun light may fade early due to cloudy/ rainy weather. Ooty climate is unpredictable at times, so keep an umbrella handy. If it rains it will take time to reach to exit and spoil your experience, so better be prepared.

Gorgeous botanical garden. Very well maintained & have wide variety of flora. Saw some magnificent varities. Loved it. A perfect place for photography .. must visit! 50₹ entry fee. Free for kids below 5 but 1000 for camera which I felt pretty awkward. Probably to support the local photographer inside the garden.

This is the most famous tourist spot in Ooty and is definitely worth the hype! Highly recommended for all those who love to spend time with different varieties of plants all around. Do not miss to visit the Glass house there if you love to see wide varieties of flowering plants and take some amazing pictures. Since it is a very popular garden, the place is always crowded but you can find some vacant benches all around the garden to sit comfortably and enjoy the lush greenery and fresh air.

Amazing place for those who love nature and trees.. there are hundreds of plant species which are even 100 years old. But the tourists are ruining the place by leaving chips covers, straws and other garbage spoiling the whole view. Govt should take strict actions against such people and fine them heavily..

There's variety of plants and flowers on display is impressive. It's a perfect spot to spend some peaceful time in nature. However, I would recommend avoiding weekends as it tends to get overcrowded, which can take away from the tranquil experience.

Best time to visit here is during spring when the flowers are in full bloom and lush greenery. If you come in the Winter season (December/ January) there is nothing much to see. Because during the winter season they start to plant flowers so you can't enter to the grassland. The entry ticket for adults is ₹50 and ₹30 for children. They charge around ₹80 for four wheeler parking. The garden is good and vast. The place is huge with greenhouse, sculptures trees, bushes and shrubs. It has variety of rare plants and flowers all well preserved.Overall a good experience and can explore variety of plants flowers and huge old trees.Best place to visit with family and friends.

Lot of walking, covered with trees and lovely garden.. Place is in the heart of Ooty city and famous for its garden.. We visited in month of November and it was not so crowded. Place is covered with great gardens and it got country wise concept of gardening like Japan/Paris/Italy n all.. All gardens are well maintained and always be in green.. As you need to walk alot you have sitting facilities at each every place around the garden.. If you can walk around 2 KMs then this place is for all age persons.. There are washrooms and water facilities all around the garden.. Place got a small canteen kind of shop where you will not get all listed menu items..taste was not so good nd it’s expensive too.. You will not get 1 and 2 Litters water bottles any where in Ooty as plastic is banned..Sorry only 1 & 2 Litters water plastic bottles are banned.. other than that all plastic is allowed.. So i suggest to please keep reusable water bottles with you always.. Entry fee is 30 INR per person and additional fee of 50 INR if you carrying steel camera, which will not be much use in this place.. There is no private garden parking but there is very small place in complex near by where they charge 80 INR.. Surrounding places outside gardens are small shops with snacks and fruits.. I have not senn any wheelchair facilities but there is option for EV vehicles not sure about fees per person.. Place is onetime watchable and must visit if you visiting Ooty..

One of the major attractions in ootty, i recommend to visit the garden during weekdays because the weekends would be crowded we can’t enjoy the place during the rush. The garden is maintained well, covered with green grass and which looks beautiful especially in the evening the climate becomes cold and we can enjoy the place more. There are plenty of space to walk inside the park and we can see variety of flowers and trees. Kids will enjoy more. I definitely recommend this place during the ootty visit.

The most beautiful botanical gardens out of the ones which I have seen. Very old fat big trees. It looks so natural and the way this botanical garden is landscaped is really amazing. One of my favourite spots on Ooty. There were many birds randomly on trees. I loved exploring the trees and other plant species. It's a very clean place. A must visit in Ooty.

Wonderful Botanical Garden ! Very well maintained. A quick walk , glancing through the exhibits and the flora would need about 45 minutes. Even 2 hours might be less for a detailed visit ! ( PS-A café and a nursery shop are also there inside ) Private car park is just 1 minute walk away from the main entrance.

Huge garden with a big collection of flowers. They sell it too. The day I went, it was raining. So, I did not venture out much and stayed within the Glass house, taking photos and selfies. The landscape outside was completely wet but very lush. It was very beautiful.

This park is completely taken care by the Government. More than 1000 types of flowers are available. Yes you have to buy the tickets for get inside it will cost you 60 to 100RS. Well designed and beautifully decorated. One thing I don't like it that is the washrooms maintainance , no toilets are completely clean no soap or hand wash available. I do understand visitors are more however after covid in such crowded places they should take care of hygiene as well.

I went there on 20th Jun. 2023 and it was raining. The garden was beautiful and well maintained as well. Lot of different kind of flowers and trees. Lot of benches to sit and relax. You can feel tired easily if you will explore more as there are slant paths to walk. We went to the top of the garden up to the staff quarters. It is definitely a place for nature lovers only.

  • 4/5 Sandeep K. 9 months ago on Google
Historic botanical garden, well maintained. Take your time going through it. There are lawn areas that were blocked off, people trying to go there anyway got told off by staff. Overall pretty and interesting. Toilets near the entrance are smelly.

A well maintained by & large in acres with beautiful species of plants, flowers, lawn and trees. Spectacular walk around and best place for nature lovers and plant adorers. Ticketed place with ample parking. Flower show is conducted during May month which abruptly have huge footfalls. Howwever a relaxing tour can be done while the winter season post monsoon from Sep - Feb. You can recollect many movie scenes once you get inside this place.

Quite well maintained. Beautiful flower show in Glass House. Takes 1hour minimum. Should have operational water fountains and some ducks or tortoises/fishes could make it more beautiful. @taminlnadutourism@ootytourism

Gem of a place. Must-visit, highly recommended. The garden is just superbly maintained to details. Centre-stage is very well built. Plenty of photogenic points in the garden. The maze is also an interesting place to watch out, not too complex and big, but equally fun place. Rs. 50/- entry ticket per person is totally worth it.

Life Begins the day when you start a garden. The Government Botanical Garden is Very well maintained. Felt refreshing after seeing the different plants, flowers, samplings especially the sunflowers. The washroom facility inside is good. There's market just outside the garden where you can pick homemade chocolates, some bags, clothes and almost everything.

This is a beautiful place, full of greenery. I liked taking a walk here. They also have small eateries, which are nice. The only thing I didn't like about this place is the washrooms. There is no proper light in the washrooms and they are not clean as well.
