A beautiful Ganesha temple located just opposite the famous Ideal cafe. This is a very famous ancient temple known for its numerous festivals. I had visited it when the main temple was closed, so the crowd was very minimal and it was so peaceful. This temple is very famous amongst the locals and they'd definitely recommend everyone to visit this one.

The Sharavu Mahaganapathy Temple is one of the most well known tourist attractions that are situated in the city of Mangalore in Karnataka. Cheif deity here is lord shiva and mahaganapathi.. Outside there is naga bana and ashwatha katte.. Currently temple opens at 8am and we are not allowed to go inside the temple.. Only from outside we can see..

A very historic Ganpati temple located in the heart of the city. The temple is believed to be very powerful among the locals. There is a Shiv temple, a Ganpati temple and Rakteshwari temple. The atmosphere inside the temple is calm and gives out a lot of positive energy. There is ample parking space available. There is also a Naga Bana outside. A must visit temple if you are in Mangalore.

A very dynamic and enthusiastic team of instructors here.... :) they take the time to teach each student individually, making you feel very comfortable, just perfect for complete beginners! They have a big stock of surf boards that come in various sizes, you're free to choose whichever is comfortable. There's place to change and shower too. Fun waves, best instructors, awesome location, great atmosphere for learning.....You would definitely wanna come back for more!

Never expected we could do it at our first experience on surf boards. Arnon and Dhruvin(trainers) your encouragement made us overcome aquaphobia, you made the guys to surf who doesn't know to swim. Thanks to Mithun for providing slots at short notice. 🤗

Had a very good experience with our 13 year kids in this Tannir bavi beach from the Stoked Surfers Club, this was an awesome experience and the guides were very good, professional and patient. This is for the first time the kids enjoyed water so much and look forward to coming here again, all thanks to the excellent trainers who guided them well and ensured that while they learnt, also enjoyed the experience. keep it up !

Update on the review: Had a word with one of the co-founders of the club and they made an apology and offered 3 free surf sessions anytime I want. Also assured that this will not happen again with any customer. I am bumping up there rating for following up on the bad review. Old Review: pathetic experience. Never ever go with this surfing club. I travelled at the way from Bangalore just for surfing with this club. On the day of the surfing, I waited 3 hours at the club and no body showed up. The manager Mahesh didnt even had the courtsey to call/text and confirm that they wont be giving lessons. Instead he kept texting that he is arranging and finding out why the delay. After a wait of 3 hours, I left. Pathetic service. Pathetic people. I hope this club shuts down. Go and do surfing anywhere but not this club. I dont even know how much they would care for your safety if you are learning surfing from them. Dont go here ever.

A relatively small temple located in the heart of the main city of Mangalore. The temple's history dates back to 12th century. The temple is closed for darshan between 1PM and 4.30PM so plan your visit accordingly. Online booking for 30+ sevas and poojas can be done through their official website.

Rented a board yesterday at this amazingly chill place in Mangalore. The people running the surf club are not profit-orientated, but a bunch of friends trying to spread the surfing spirit in Mangalore. All the money goes into new boards and equipment. The guys running the surf school are incredibly open-minded, kind-hearted and chilled people who I enjoyed every minute with. The true surfer vibe lives in this place! Go and check it out, I will definitely come back the next time in Mangalore :)

My friend and I each rented a board from Mangalore Surf Club on very short notice. We contacted Rajat who went to great lengths to accommodate our schedule. He was friendly and easy to talk with before and after surfing. Rajat also enjoys taking photos if he has the time and we're looking forward to seeing the moments he captured. Call in advance to make arrangements and enjoy Tannirbhavi beach with Mangalore Surf Club!

For a first time surfer, Stoked surf club is the place to go. We had an early Sunday morning surf session - I was a bit nervous at first - and the instructors started us off with some basics and practice on the beach. We hit it off with them from the get go and the nervousness turned to excitement. Once we hit the water, there was no going back. They were so patient with us, giving us useful pointers and correcting mistakes each time. They helped me catch my first waves and pop up on the board twice! Before we knew it, we’d been in the water for hours and we couldn’t get enough. It was way more than I expected for a first time experience and I’m hooked. Thank you for one of the best sundays I’ve had in mangalore!

One day I was invited by the club, I went there got a class and i started taking waves on my very first day. I thank the coach who thought me to surf in one day which was unexpected. And at last i ended up taking membership now I go daily with very nice company. They have so many surfboards and bodyboards that I can go with my all friends at a time. It can proudly tell I have been to the best surf school present all over INDIA.

I still can't believe that I am able to ride through the waves. Not to lie , I was very skeptical at first , but constant motivation and supervision from Dhruvin and Satya , helped me to overcome my fear of the sea. They made me experience that surfing binds your senses and energy . Its so true as Dhruvin told me..the only con of this sport is , that it is addictive. Yes , it is. Please don't hesitate to try out and experience the rush of adrenaline surfing through the waves. And yes , you are in the right hands.

One of the most popular, calm, and relaxing temples in south India is the Sharavu Mahaganapathi temple in Mangalore. An 800 years old temple has two shrines namely lord Shiva and Lord Ganapathi and is crowded throughout the year but majorly during the 'Shravan' month of Hindu Mythology and Ganesh Chathurthi.

I had taken classes at Mangalore Surf Club and what a thrilling experience it was!! The trainers are thoroughly experienced and are professionally trained as well. They helped me learn with continuous feedback and tips on improving my technique. The five class pack is worth its weight in gold! They also got some live action moments with a GoPro camera in both photos and videos of my surfing since I'd booked for the camera shoot in advance. Kudos to this team of energetic people who formed the only registered non-profit organization dedicated to surfing in Mangalore! I highly recommend Mangalore Surf Club for anyone who wants to learn to surf or rent a board. I'm looking forward to taking up a membership with Mangalore Surf Club having seen their impressive collection of surf boards, body boards and SUP!

Break: One of the best breaks on the west coast for surfing. Proximity: Mainland to toes in the water in less than 15 mins (via sulthan battery). This facilitates a surf everyday morning & go to work schedule. Convenience: The container of the surf club is located by the shore. Don't have to carry the board a long way. Company: Surfing among people from diverse background makes it special.

The purohits (priests) do a whole hearted prayers on our behalf. The GANA HOMA (यज्ञ) is devotional and sanctity full. The temple has to make mandatory presence of the devotee during his name sake GANA HOMA. They should completely avoid the absence concession. Blessings cannot happen to the full with the devotees' absence during the यज्ञ ।। ओम गॅ गनपतये नमः

A lovely temple with some beautiful architecture, this temple is located in the heart of the city. I happened to visit here on the day of Saraswati Pooja, it was mildly crowded, but most of the devotees were there to get the pooja done for their vehicles. The temple in itself is a calm place to spend some time. The quadrangle is relatively small, so pradakshinas would not take much time.

Sharavu Mahaganapathi temple is a 800yr old temple dedicated to Lord Shiva & Lord Ganesha. Sharavu is derived from the word Shara which means arrow. Sharavu temple was built by a Tulu king, Veerabahu to erase the terrible sin caused by killing a cow instead of a tiger. Shivalinga installed here is known as Sharabeshwara. Images of Dhashabhuja Mahaganapathy (Ganapati with 10 hands) with Siddhilaxmi seated on his left, appeared on the southern wall. Since then it came to be known as Sharavu Mahaganapathi temple.
