It's one among the oldest and ancient temple in our anakapalle city, dedicated to lord Shiva , as per the temple ( history) word of mouth it's said that the shiva linga was established by a saint who was travelling to kashi but fell ill and stopped here at anakapalle in the mid of 1800s, and he established here ,from then this temple is in existence, we also heard with word of mouth that there use to be a koneru ( holy pond) but later get closed for unknown reasons, it gets open in morning 06:00 am on special occasions and on regular day it's get open around 06:30 am for devotees upto 12 00 noon and around 03:30 pm or 04:00 pm get open it'll 19:00 pm , on special occasions like shivaratri, Maha shivratri and in kartika month special Pooja is done and it's get crowded with devotee, this temple is undertaken by Andhra Pradesh endowment department, under endowment act, very peaceful place and contains special vibes. Recommended to visit once.
