Calm and quiet It's a must visit place. Atmosphere is very peaceful inside the temple. Surrounded by plants and trees. This was the first time I watched traditional "navpor paattu" , 2 moorthi's are the main prathishtta of the temple. Don't be fooled by local people who are selling offering for lords, because this time fooled by them. First we will think that how good n nice people are they, but actually some are so trickeries. For me the experience was like this:- We reached the temple's back door, actually the temple is surrounded by small shops which sella offerings to God and toys, accessories, etc. So after we reached there we don't know where to go, we juz asked him about the way, he directed the way to front gate and also he say some stories and offerings which should given to God. Firstly he told it's about 170/_ he was very intelligent business man he convinced us and told don't give the money right now give it once to people leav the place. Then we bought two of the items and went inside. While we reached front gate there were so many shops inside and outside the temple premises. The "Darshanm" was very good, it made my mind peace and blessed feelings. A lot of Parking facility is available inside the temple's compound itself. After that we bought some rings and accessories. Then we were about leave, so we went to that boy then he told the price is 480/_ we were like 🙄 then he is telling some calculations and all, And he also said that if you don't have money give it some day else, this is also his trick because nobody dare to do that, it's about GOD everyone will scared and give, so the same happened we gave him the money and went back. So only thing I wanna say is don't be cheated by people like this. You can buy offerings wherever you want, but don't be cheated by people. I think it's better to buy it from devosm vazhipaaadu counter. One thing is we won't be cheated.

Temples are always a great place to visit. Very nice and peaceful. They have a cloak room which is free to use. They also have a shoe stand where footwear can be kept. The charges are ₹3. One can spend around one hour. Toilets and drinking water available.

A famous temple in Haripad devoted exclusively for serpent God Nagaraja and Goddess Nagayakshi. Ayilyam is the most popular day for worshipping. Devotees bring turmeric powder, milk and egg for abhishekam. These items along with archana tickets are kept in Temple admin shop/counter also keep for purchase. Darshan timings are 5-11 in the morning and 6-7.30 in the evening. One can have Darshan and blessings of the holy mother living in the mutt between 10.30 and 12.00 in the morning hours. Thousands of beautiful sculptures of snakes can be seen inside the temple. Plenty of free parking is available outside the temple.

Peaceful place with a small forest maintained well. A temple devoted to snakes which is a very beautiful gesture which teaches the people about respecting the wild. Small sized tortoises and fishes in the pond are are pleasure to eyes. There is also all time small shopping of toys and beauty products. Toilet and few small restaurant's makes the place a half-station for people coming from long distances. Ample parking space.

I have a history with this temple. I was born 15 years after my parents marriage and they did a ritual called uruli kamathuka. We thought we should do Thulabhaaram for my son here. There are many changes since 2016(last time we came). The temple stands tall and with pride. The deity, appupankaavu and darshan of Amma are mostly from 10.30am. It's a serene place with lots of trees that looks like a private forest. The unni appam that's prasadam is available in the counters and payasam also available which are too good. Parking is available in plenty and lots of shops to purchase toys, necklaces etc are available. Easily accessible from main highway.

Mannarasala Sree Nagaraja Kshetram is an ancient pilgrimage centre situated in south-west Kerala.blessed and envisaged by Lord Parasurama, the creator of Kerala. The evolution of Mannarasala as the supreme place of worship of the serpent Gods is associated with Parasurama, the son of Jamadagini and a descendant of Bhrigu. When Parasurama decided to seek atonement from the sin of killing the Kshatriyas, he approached the holy Rishis. They suggested that he should make a gift of a land of his own to the Brahmins. Parasurama propitiated Varuna Deva (the Lord of the Seas) to get some land for himself. Varuna appeared before and advised him to throw his parasu, the axe which Lord Siva had given him, into the sea to reclaim land. He throws it and raises a piece of land from the sea and gives it as a gift to the Brahmins. This land is believed to be the present-day Kerala.( information taken from official website) photography not allowed inside temple. You must try payasam and appam which is very tasty

Mannarasala Sree Nagaraja Kshetram, located in southwestern Kerala, (alappuzha) is a revered ancient pilgrimage site, especially known for serpent worship. It's considered one of the most significant and legendary serpent worship places globally. The temple's history is intertwined with Lord Parasurama, the founder of Kerala, who sought atonement for his sins. He gifted land to Brahmins and propitiated Varuna Deva to acquire it. A major celebration at Mannarasala is the renowned Mannarasala Ayilyam, held in the Malayalam month of Thulam. Its prominence arises from a historical event when the Maharaja of Travancore rescheduled his visit, bringing grandeur to the Thulam Ayilyam celebration. Ayilyam days in Kanni and Kumbham are celebrated with enthusiasm. It's a place steeped in spirituality and tradition, making it a must-visit destination for those interested in Kerala's rich heritage. The temple is indeed a nature-friendly place. It features a serene kaavu (sacred grove) and a peaceful pond within the temple premises. These natural elements enhance the overall ambiance of the temple, creating a peaceful environment for devotees and visitors. The presence of a kaavu and a pond reflects a deep respect for nature and its integral role in the spiritual experience at the temple.

Very calm, peaceful atmosphere surrounded by sacred groves in which the Serpent Gods are believed to be dwelling. Here, we can offer പുറ്റും മുട്ടയും (puttum muttayum), Naagaroopam (figurine of Serpent God made in metals like silver)apart from common offerings like silk cloth, sesame oil, Camphor etc. Noorum paalum (നൂറും പാലും) is a famous vazhipad here. Another famous vazhipad is Uruli Kamazhthal, doing for having children. Thulabharam is also done here. We can see Pulluvan Patt here, worship done by Pulluvars to remove Sarpa doshas of one who offering the prayers. It is in the form of song, accompanied by an instrument called Pulluvan Veena. We can do this for ourself and our family members. Whoever wants the prayer, we have to tell the name and birth star of them to the Pulluvan. Sundays seem to be very crowded here. Nagarajavu and Nagayakshiyamma are the main deities here. We can have darshan of Amma also. Amma is chosen from the illam related to temple and is belived as mother of the Serpant Gods. We can get Appam, and payasam from counter outside temple.

Mannarasala Sree Nagaraja Kshetram is an ancient pilgrimage centre situated in south-west Kerala. Of all the places of serpent worship in the world. there is none that is more benign, awe-inspiring and legendary than Mannarasala, as blessed and envisaged by Lord Parasurama, the creator of Kerala. At a very auspicious moment, Parasurama installed, according to Vedic rites, Nagaraja, who is Brahma, Vishnu and Siva in one in the 'Thirthasthala' (Hall of pilgrimage) surrounded by Mandara trees, the place then known as Mandarasala. The installed deity here represents Anantha (Vishnuswaroopa) and Vasuki (Siva in spirit). The installations of Sarpayakshi, Nagayakshi and Nagachamundi, the Naga deities, as well as of their associates were conducted in the proper places with the proper rituals. Monday to Saturday : 07:00 am – 11:00 pm | 05:30 pm – 07:00 pm Sunday : 07:00 am – 12:00 pm | 05:30 pm – 07:00 pm

Mannarasala Sree Nagaraja Temple is located in Haripad, Alleppey, Kerala. It is the biggest Naga temple in a Sylvan setting. There are about 30,000 idols of Nagas in the temple area. The Ayilyam ( ashlesha) nakshatra that falls in the Malayalam month of Thulam is the most important festival. Naga Raja Vasuki and Naga matha are the principal deities. The temple 's main preistess is the oldest female member of the family. Childless couples visit this temple and pray to the Nagas and do 'urulikamazhth'* . They have to come back to the temple once they beget an offspring and reverse the process* Lots of parking space is there.

Mannarasala Sree Nagaraja Temple(Malayalam: മണ്ണാറശാല ശ്രീ നാഗരാജാക്ഷേത്രം) in Haripad is a very ancient and internationally known centre of pilgrimage for the devotees of serpent gods (Nagaraja). The famous Nagaraja temple "Mannarasala" in Haripad is nestled in a forest glade, like most snake temples. The Mannarasala Temple has over 100,000 images of snakes along the paths and among the trees, and is the largest such temple in Kerala. Couples seeking fertility come to worship here, and upon the birth of their child come to hold thanksgiving ceremonies here, often bringing new snake images as offerings. A special turmeric paste which is available at the temple is credited with curative powers. The temple is located about 3 kilometers to the north-east of the bus station along NH66 at Haripad, in Alappuzha district of Kerala. *History Though the legends related to the origin of a place cannot be deemed as its history, the story on the evolution of Mannarasala as one of the foremost places of worship of the Serpent Gods is associated with Lord Parashurama who is widely believed to be the creator of Kerala. This history of Mannarasala has been mentioned in the 'Mandara Salodyam', a Sanskrit poem written by Mannarasala M.G. Narayanan Namboothiri of the sacred family based on the accounts and legends handed down and old scriptures and books available with the temple.

You will feel you got into a different realm the moment you step in to the compound. It have pretty good parking space. But the place will be muddy if it's raining. There's a very large area with queue system to pay for offerings. Then the pond, it's blissful to have such a feeling to wash your feet in it. There's a saying to wash your feet before you go in and be blessed with the footprints placed all over and take that home without washing. Its true that you need to walk around for a bit, step in through the main entrance and pay your prayers at the Nagaraja and Yakshiyamma. If you feel to sit down, do that in the south west Mandapam. It'll make you feel like you came to your resting place. There's no any burdens rushing through your thoughts, no agonies and all. I have heard this was the feelings but experiencing it there is whole another level. Spend your time there, with silence, it will be worth it. Trust your instincts. Blessings all the way!

The temple is situated in the forest amidst trees in a cool and quiet place, which is typical of the snake temples in the country. Filled with images of thousands of serpents, this temple is known for being the largest of its kind in the southern state of Kerala. The temple is revered by the devotees, who believe that by offering certain things to the Nagaraja, all their wishes would be fulfilled.

A tranquil setting with a little bit of well-kept forest around. A temple that is dedicated to snakes is a very beautiful gesture that teaches people to respect the natural world. This temple also teaches people about snakes. A pleasure for the eyes are the tortoises and fishes in the pond that are on the smaller side. In addition to that, there is always the opportunity to do some light shopping for things like toys. People travelling long distances will consider this location a halfway station because it has a restroom and a handful of smaller restaurants. Ample space available for parking. Annadanam available.

മണ്ണാറശാല ശ്രീ നാഗരാജാക്ഷേത്രം in Haripad is a very ancient and internationally known centre of pilgrimage for the devotees of serpent gods (Nagaraja). - Wikipedia
