Very good vegetarian hotel. awesome test. Limited menu but sufficient and tasty. Very very economic, at the most 100-150 per person bill comes for lunch or dinner. Very much recommended place. Do visit once.

Usually a crowded place, good ambience and quick service. Only a few dishes on the menu. Famous for akha masur. Tastes okay. Baingan masala , panneer palak, kaju curry are the few dishes you can order. It would be good if more dishes were on menu. Or else the place seems overhyped.

A pure veg restaurant on the high. It was way too crowded when we went. Good ventilation as most of it is open seating types under a shed. Bad was it was way too hot as no sufficient fans available. They were sparying water from sprinklers which was not helping. They have very limited menu hence Service is very fast. Size of roti is way big enough. They have clean washrooms. Ice-cream shop just outside was nice. Food taste - 4/5 Food quantity- 4/5

Hype .…but not happy ! The quality of akkha masur was not on that mark compared to other special hotels who serve that iconic akkha masur dishes. Too crowded and waiting. Service is fast and has a good ambiance. Over all a better expectations next time visit.

This is really unique Dhaba based on the Pune-Bangalore highway. Very good vegetarian hotel. The test is awesome veg foods are too good and testy. Limited options in the veg. Well-maintained family restaurants that you can go to with your family. It's not that costly. Must-Visit once.!!

This is the best place to visit. You can visit with your friends and family. Family have separate dining hall. Food as always best part. We tried akkha masur and paneer masala with rotis. Have icecream or pan after meal which is in premise itself. Ample car parking.

understand its not by maharashtrian person. Akkha masoor is good and big big tanduri maida roti. both worth. Worth to go all the way there to eat. Dahi is so small not worth though taste is superb. kaju curry is ok nothing great. its good they give half rice too. Half massor too. Chapati was oridinary. Excellent statue of shivaji maharaaj eating food (first time saw such, see the photo). But, one can not relax due to big crowd always at waiting. We were at 10pm over there and waiting was 100 plus but they cleared in 15/20mins, highely creditable. Family hall separate. separate parking and toilets are just ok.

Shivraj Dhaba is awesome! Akkha Masur is their special dish, and it tastes so good. It feels like eating a homemade meal – super yummy and highly recommended!

The atmosphere is excellent. Cleanning, parking is good. Running hotel so they keep ready food even tawa chapati. That's not such good, chapati is not properly cooked. Food temperature is also not up to mark. Curd is really good. Also they serve faluda, mastani, kulfi, etc. Butchery need to improve faluda, that what in my life first time I had noodles as a faluda.

The food was amazing. The place is however too crowded and the service is a little slow due to too many tables. But it's worth the wait given the amazing taste 😋

Today, had an opportunity for lunch at Shivaji dhaba, Karad where I never visited. The hotel is spacious with separate space for family and other tourists. Also, the hotel has ample parking. The service is quick. This restaurant is famous for dish Akkha Masur and big tandoori roti with or without butter. Complementary salad is also provided. Taste is awesome and one MUST try the hospitality at Shivaji Dhaba while driving from Pune to Bengalore. Also, on can see statue of Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj having lunch.

The food here is simply amazing! Simple and best approach to keep minimum items on the menu and execute them well! You'll find a lot of rush here during peak times but they manage crowd really well and treat every customer and table with good service

This is a very famous veg dhaba in karad. Akkha masoor bhaji is their speciality. They have a fixed menu with limited items. Here roti means maida tandoori roti and chapati means wheat roti. So be careful while ordering. Also there is no kids menu here (no mom spicy food). They have a huge parking space also.

Great place on chiplun highway near karad to enjoy akkha masoor(whole red lentils). Besides this there are few more options on the menu, but people tend to come here to enjoy spicy yet mouth watering akkha masoor which is a signature cuisine of islampur/kolhapur region. Taste is great, a lil on spicier side for me due to use of green chillies instead of red chilli powder but its not bad at all. Lot of space available for parking, lawn is also there for children to play and adults to linger around n take photos. They have also started an executive AC hall of capacity of around 300 just across the road from this place. They have great system in place for delivery as far as tasgaon, miraj, umbraj etc etc.. The place also follows good hygiene and cleanliness standards. You can also grab ice creams and desserts right at the entrance of the place while coming back after a lunch or dinner in case it was too spicy for you. I hope you enjoy this signature dish when you visit here.

This place offers amazing food but lacks customer service. When I asked about separate table for three people, which can be easily managed as they have 4 and 6 seaters as well, I was rudely told by a staff member about how sharing is must. Like really ? On Monday afternoon ? At 2 pm ? You expect me to believe that every table you have is going to be occupied ? Many of such incidents in half hour visit. Drunk customers may show up in outer dining area. We had some around. Recommended only for Take aways or with family dine in (only in family dedicated area)
