Memorable experience. Stumbled upon these photos from July 24 2011. It's a beautiful lake, the entire lake gets engulfed in fog and it's a magnificent view seeing the fog clear out making the lake visible.

Awesome experience. Road is closed towards wall of Lake. You have to walk through trail. The pour out region gives you feeling of Bhushi Dam.

It’s a beautiful lake and a small mangrove kind of area covered with trees . Not maintained at all though the path is dug up , difficult to cross No facilities available in the immediate vicinity There are shops at around 500 mtrs though A place for funeral pyre is just at the lake not sure whether in use for not There are no toilets and seen tourists urinating in the jungle area . No tickets required parking available on weekdays, on weekends it might not be sufficient Visit in daytime before 4 pm preferably as it gets dark post 6 and the road is accident prone & foggy . Can skip this lake as Bamnoli is much better

Kas Lake is in a pretty village in Maharashtra, in the Satara district. It's a calm and neat place. The road to Mahabaleshwar from here is very beautiful.

Must visit place - you can breathe pure air, experience nature and you may spot Bison (If you are lucky). Road to Kas lake is amazing and will take you to different world. Flowers will be available during sep-Oct but another time of year is also recommended to visit this place.

Kaas lake is towards Kaas Flower valley. Around 2 km away from flower valley. One can take own vehicle as there is ample space for parking. There is no entry fee or parking fee. The lake is scenic. A good place to have nice pictures and if you get there on a cloudy day you may get chance to capture the flying clouds!! You may see and hear some birds too! There are few small cafes there for tea and snacks.

Not sure if Kaas lake is usually less visited or was it because of COVID restrictions, but there were not many people on the lakeside. The lake was decently filled up due to good downpour this year. There wasn't a lot of litter as one would expect in Maharashtra.

Must visit place.... both the lake and the valley of flowers. Although I went in the off season when there were no flowers enjoyed the view. Took a dip in the khas lake and felt refreshed. Kudos to the government for maintaining khas plateau (valley of flowers) so well. Vasota fort is also nearby unfortunately couldnt visit as the entry timings are upto 1: 00 pm. For visiting the fort have to take boat from Bamnoli. Also you can visit shivmandir, waterfall and see triveni sangam (point where three rivers koyna, kandati and tapola meet). Suggest to visit these places along with a local guide or person belonging to the area. :-)

Kaas Lake is nestled by the kaas plateau and doesn't need a ticket seperately to go there. It is a beautiful lake however there were no facilities apart from a restaurant (didn't go inside however it is right on the banks of the lake and maybe they have toilet facilities There) and some street food even toilets were not avaliable. To arrive here you drive past the Kaas plateau gates and follow the jungle road down the mountain with many blind turns where if you are in your own vehicle please honk to alert others. The road is paved but in bad condition. Overall worth visiting be warned that you may get better pictures from the hill slopes rather than the lake itself. If you want to go boating you need to drive another 6 km ahead to Bamnoli. The maps for kaas Lake leads you to the shmshan ghat dead end

A nice place for picnic or outdoor get together but not in a large number. Area is not very large. Sheds are not available to sit, so summer is not a good time to visit. The place is not clean, not taken care by any authority for its maintained and cleanliness regularly. Garbages of plastics and broken glasses are spread out here and there. Few restaurants are there with veg food availability.

Good, clean lake. Fit for fun with a family. You can also stop for the night and cook a nice barbeque and watch the stars and chill. There also a few restaurants around for refreshments. In all, a nice place for relaxing. I would recommend going to the lake at around 11 in the morning. Nice.

Fantastic spot for relaxation! Serene and peaceful surroundings make it an ideal place to unwind. The roads, while generally good, can be a tad narrow in certain areas. Overall, a great destination for tranquility.

I have visited this place many times before. And I like the weather. It so cool out and refreshing. I would like to recommend this place to people who are tired and bored of city life. This place would be the best option. And also don't forget to visit 'Kaas Talav'. The best time to visit this place is in 'September'. And to enjoy more, try to visit during 'light rainy weather' so you can experience 'foggy climate'. Which is the best thing to experience about this place. The flowers are very beautiful and you can see many varieties of different colour flowers too.
