Ozarde, often referred to as Nawaja Waterfall and located near Koyna, Patan, is a breathtaking waterfall for people who enjoy hiking and being outside. It's open to the public from 9 in the morning until 5 in the evening. The best time to visit would be during the monsoon, when the waterfall is at its best. To see this enormous beauty, you must purchase a ticket at the counter for Rs. 100 per person. The hiking trail is well maintained, so it shouldn't be a problem to reach the top. There are viewing points along the way so that you can take breaks and take in the scenery. The beautiful sounds of birds and gushing water make the walk pretty amazing. There is lush greenery all around, with a couple of tiny streams and waterfalls along the way. The hike might be a bit tedious for people with bad knees and very young children, but the view at the top is well worth it.

Totally worth visiting during raining season. Natural beauty. The flow is very peaceful. You see it will going at top. There are seating arrangements at mid-way. View from top is breathtaking 😍. You can click as many pics as you want. You'll see cloud crushing each other and feel raining at the top. Group visits are safer. Important Note: Medium sized steps. Height of rocks is very high. They are slippery. Wear comfortable clothes and carry proper shoes. Climbing mountain is body aching task. Person suffering from knee aches prefer not going top unless you can manage it.( All views are described considering as rainy season. For any help don't hesitate to ask questions).

Water falls from a pretty high point and the trek from parking area to the Waterfall is quite scenic too. Trek isn't very long, takes 15-20 mins to reach the main waterfall and also not very difficult. Definitely worth all the effort.

Its an ideal destination for a day-long picnic. Ozarde water fall in national forest preserve area that is replete with many Ayurvedic plants, trees and herbs.Have to walk good three kms and climb through mountain slopes to see the water fall from a close distance. It is very impressive, and climb through mountain slopes to see the water fall from close distance. It is very enticing and the water is clen, cool and medicinal water from the fall. Located in satara district n nearest city is satara city near koyna dam. Carry Mineral water bottles, food, first aid kit, some extra clothes and so on. Entry fees for adults₹30,child 5-12yrs ₹15, school trip ₹10, handy cam ₹100 etc it's too far but worth visiting n u can find changing room / toilet adj.to ticket counter but too small.. Ther r changing room at a walkable distance for ₹10 each n ther r small shops for tea/coffee/other snacks better to carry proper food as its far from city don't expect much.. But must visit place once.

Proper marked trail available. This area had a massive landslide in the rainfall two years back. The repair work for road damaged near the waterfall is in progress. You can reach both the fall point of the waterfall (depicted by most pics) and also the mouth of the waterfall. The route to the mouth is via main Koynanagar through Humbarali, and the road requires high-clearance vehicle. The top plateau of this waterfall is equally worthwhile.

Ozarde Falls in Satara is a wonderful alchemy of nature. The sight of this gushing waterfall falling from a high cliff is mind-blowing. Tell us in the comments which waterfalls in Maharashtra you are planning to visit this monsoon.

Must visit place for nature lovers ! Track is well maintained by Forest department of Maharashtra n this small treck is worth to experience the beautiful nature around ! Personally I think best time to visit this place is at the end of mansoon season for comfortable visit... but if you want more adventurous journey then proper rainy season is ideal for you ! Forest Ticket is Rs. 100 per adult for entry at this place but it's really worth .... Visit in larger groups are recommended as per saftey concerns n also avoid temptation of misbehaving with Nature especially in rainy season ! Overall it's very well maintained place by Forest department n you will get a teaser of trasure of koyana wildlife sanctuary n breathtaking beauty of Sahyadri range of forests at this waterfall...

It's also called as Nawaja Waterfall which is the name of the base village. This gigantic natural beauty is situated in Koyna Dam backwater area. If you don't have your vehicle, you can take a bus from Koynanagar Bus Depot which will take you to the ticket counter of the waterfall (9 km). From there a 25-30 minute trek will take you to the base of the waterfall. As the last bus from the waterfall to Koynanagar is around 4:30 pm you must plan your visit accordingly so that you can also visit other small Waterfalls en route and Nehru Gardens. One more thing to note is that the waterfall is closed during heavy rain for going to the base of the waterfall, so please make sure it's open if you want to go to the base. If you want to enjoy the view from the ticket counter it's always open. The best time to visit is during monsoon till October. The view is breathtaking and you will fall in love with it. So go and enjoy it without harming nature.

Ozarde waterfall. Stunning view. For the best experience, visit in the early morning and be prepared for a 3km walk on gradient stairs to get the perfect view.
