Nice place for trekking. You may see deer 🦌 and other animals( if you are lucky😉). Mostly prefer it in rainy season. If you have vehicles it will be better. Bring enough water while trekking. Memorable experience 😊...

This sanctuary opens at 8am. It's a nice deer sanctuary with a self safari option. There are no guides here. They have a designated driving trail. There are 5 points where you can get down from your car. Other than the 5 points it is recommended to not get down from the car. There is a shiv temple in the sanctuary. We saw a few deer on our drive. Captured few birds as well. The drive is smooth. The sanctuary is clean, let's keep it that way. They have a forest guest house but there is no information on how to book the rooms. The sanctuary must be promoted. Entry fee per person is ₹50/- , car fee is ₹100/- and camera fee ₹500/-

Sagareshwar Wildlife Sanctuary is a manmade Sanctuary. It was established in 1967. It's spread over 10 square kms. One can see animals such as Sambar deer, spotted deer and blackbucks in the Sanctuary. I would recommend carrying binoculars with you, spotting animals with binoculars is rather difficult. It's really a good place if one wants to spend a few hours amidst nature. Forest department has wooden cottages for the stay here. Overall, it's a good place to visit. Own four wheel vehicles are allowed from 8 am to 4 pm.

Lot of opportunities to improve. After entree you are on your own. Missing and no clue of tiger and other animals mentioned on entrance. But due to the rainy season, we enjoyed couple of hours with nature peacefully.

There are very few places near Sangli where family can plan their one day trip and this could be the one. But don't expect any wild life... And animals ... Even moneky. But you will love the most amazing natural photography spots where you could explore your photography skills

Best place to visit from my hometown Dudhondi along with kids. It is very beautiful during rainy n winter when it is full in green cover. For kids there is garden with slide, swing, animal statues etc. You can trek.Inside there is old lingeshwar temple. Many places to sit n enjoy valleys. You can also drive straight to high pick called Kirloskar point from there u can Krishna river, railway station many villages from top. There is no fee charged if u visit till Lingeshwar temple. But if u planning to visit further points there is 100 rupees for 4 wheeler n per person 50 rupees. You can also travel by their bus which they charge 70 rupees per person.

It is located at the meeting of three Tehsils of Sangli district: Kadegaon, Walva and Palus. The wildlife sanctuary is man-made; it is an artificially cultivated forest without a perennial supply of water, and most of the wildlife species were artificially introduced. It has an area of 10.87 km². The Sagareshwar sanctuary has much religious, cultural and archaeological significance. The sanctuary derives its name from an ancient famous Shiva temple that attracts a large number of devotees. It actually consists of one large temple and a complex of 51 small temples, all from the Satvahana period. You will find the Kamal Bhairao temple, partially hewn from hard Basalt rock perched on the edge of a steep cliff. The entrance to the temple is through a narrow tunnel Best time to visit is monsoon months. Sagareshwar has lot to offer for hikers, birders and picnic lovers. If lucky one can spot sambar deer or spotted deer in the woods. This park is very beautiful, there animals are very beautiful.this place is known as sagareshwar deer park ,there are lot of deer are in the park, Many types of animals in there , Beautiful nature .also This plece is very beautiful in monsoon.

    1. It's very underrated place and need to be known to as many people as much. 2. 2 wheelers aren't allowed. Only personal car or take facility bus (70₹/person) 3. Very glorious and beautifully environment. 4. There is also ancient temple inside 5. Takes around 2 hours to enjoy and see the place 6. Guest house also available for people willing to stay ( cook available on demand) 7. It's a sanctuary so you might not get a chance to see all animals. You'll only be able to spot some monkeys and deer. Suggestions: Request to authorities to improve the guest house and stay facility and add other activities as well so it can attract people.

Best place to visit if you want to be surrounded by peacocks at all times. The local authorities claim the scantuary also houses deer but haven't been able to spot them during multiple visits. The place is good for one day picnic or a short trek.
