There is a short and slim lady who sits at the reception...she is very arrogant and says no to everything you ask for.... She doesn't show any curtsey towards guest and if you try to question her then she talks about checking out from the hotel room. Apart from hospitality part...the rooms are clean but they lack basic facilities like tea maker and dish/bowls inside the room.

More like 2 1/2 stars. About a 10 to 15 minute walk to the beach. There is no lift and you have to drag your bags up the stairs. We were on the top 3rd floor and it was quite a mission to pull our luggage up the stairs - a nightmare. The food was adequate. Wifi strength varied.

Just came back from a week stay in this hotel. The hotel is very neat and has a homely atmosphere. The rooms are nicely decorated and are quite spacious. The restaurant serves a nice variety of food and offers discounts to hotel guests. There are quite a few few family rooms with nice view. The service altogether was prompt and the staff were very helpful. The only thing I missed was a kettle on the room. I like to start my day with a tea and would appreciate if I could make that in the morning by myself. Also a small soap cake besides the bathroom sink would be nice. Many thanks for your service. Will definitely recommend staying here to everyone who is looking an affordable stay in a peaceful environment.

Great hotel. Only downside for some might be that it’s a bit outside of the tourist areas. Otherwise huge clean rooms, nice staff, and a good restaurant. Front desk girl is also a beauty :)

Stayed a couple of nights. Apparently booked the "wrong" room. Friendly front desk girl explained to us that the "wrong" room was an upgrade by a mistake, so it was complimentary. Not very noisy because it's 5 min walk from the main street up the hill. Not very steep btw. Nice few restaurant options around the hotel. 10 % discount on the massage saloon next to the hotel, scooters for rent...Nice, not so expensive place. It had mini fridge, 2 bottles of free water every day and some toiletries. No kettle :) forgot to mention small Koi pond on the way to the front desk

Went here in October /November 2016 and loved it. Perfect location, lovely rooms, huge bathrooms, some rooms have balconies, but some don't. Amazing food and drink downstairs. Perfect location for the beach, the strip, tours, restaurants etc . 7/11 down the road. Staff all so polite and accomodating. Massage Place next door is reasonably priced too. Would definitely recommended as such great value.

The lady who was concierge, recepcionist and waiter also did absolutely fantastic job!!! Nothing was impossible with her help! The location of the place is not as bad as it seems, but the massage wasn't the best (foot massage). The room was clean, no smells, no dust, and it was really big. Absolutely recommended, great price value!!

Booked on line so many places to chose from. Found Baan Bandalay to be a very nice smaller hotel off the main road. Staff appeared to be family or close friends, always very welcoming and helpful. Short walk to main area of town, close yet away from the noise of the main roadway. Lots to do and see in the area. The hotel staff was able to arrange daily tours of the area without the hard sell of the street tour vendors that are set up every ten feet. They also were able to recommend what tours/activities were not worth while. Very help, loved every tour we took (4). Rooms were clean and I never saw the hotel cleaning staff, but came back to a clean room each day. They seemed to pay attention to when you were out of the room to take care of the room. Hot water, clean restrooms and a small restaurant in the lobby for meal before heading out for the day.

I highly recommend this place! It has perfect location, very nice and clean rooms, nice decor and a homey vibe to it! Great value too :)
