I am surprised that there were others who didn't enjoy the food here. It hit all the right spots and the owners (a family) are very hospitable. The dishes are very reasonably priced and the portions are adequate (from an Asian POV at least). We had the Basil Leave Pork with Rice and the Fried Garlic Shrimp with Rice along with a fresh coconut and bottled Fanta Cherry (which we ended up combining to make our own Cherry Coconut Mocktail - wont recommend 😝). Back to the food by Esan Food & Cooking Inter. Good food, decent service and reasonable price. The wait (considering there's just one lady putting her heart and soul into the food preparation)...was worth it. I would love to come back here when I visit krabi again in future and hope they will be around. Cheers

Nice place, taste good, cheap, but quite slow as there's only 1 chef which is the lady boss cooking. Don't expect nice service or good presentation of food. Do expect local type of food with cheap price. Fortunate to meet Hong Kong actor (King Kong) there as well.

This place really has the best Thai food. My husband and I have been traveling Phuket and Krabi for the past 3 months and the food here is amazing 🙏🏼 You may have to wait a little, because there is only a cute old couple working. The lady does all the cooking herself, whilst the man takes and delivers the orders. They are super adorable and the food is amazing, so worth the wait.

Fantastic place - authentic feel, authentic taste. As other reviewers have said before me the lady in the kitchen is a genius. Wonderful open kitchen too so you can see the magic happening. Highly recommend.

I really like their food. I ordered Grill Fish, Fried Pork and Fried Vegetable. All are really nice. They are friendly. English menu provided.

Pass by this Essan Food shop and they just open in the evening , was surprised to see many people coming after we sat down- there is only one lady cook preparing for each table and we waited a while , we ordered beer to drink while waiting and the food is very tasty and also not salty at all, a must try food when you are in Krabi and for sure I will come back again Highly recommended

Best Tom yum seafood, better ask for medium spice. When they mean HOT, it is HOT

The Thai food here is exceptional!🤯 Drink a bit of patience juice before coming, as it will take around 30 to 50 mins to get the food. Worth every minute, and meanwhile enjoy people watching and a drink 🤪 The old lady is a master in the kitchen, moving with grace and precision to make nearly everything the Thai kitchen has to offer.

Food is so so super tasty!! Lots of rich flavors. BBQ meat is also really good. Prices are fair. You can get cheaper at foodstand boots but no way it will be as good as here. Worth the wait because this lady van cook! Keep up the good work :)

Service is incredibly slow. There was hardly anyone in there,but it still took us about half an hour to get our food. The food was okay and way overpriced. They misadvertised the beer price, which was already expensive, but they charged just significantly more for it when the bill came. I am Thai, so I can tell you guys this is not authentic Thai food at all. You can find something better. We found a much more authentic Thai food place nearby at a fraction of the cost.

I see a lot of good reviews of this place, but living in Thai, this place lulls you in with the thoughts u are helping out a poor Thai family, to be hit with some of the highest prices around. We are still waiting for our food 1 hour after arriving, one of our party has left in disgust, and now after an hour and 20 mins, they say no Moo Gob. The owner seems insensitive to the situation, and is just happy the delay is forcing us to drink more Chang priced at 150 bht a bottle That's the same as the 5 star hotels charge. But wait, the buckets of ice are also being charged for... something you don't expect in a local restaurant. The Laab moo I had was good, while the BBQ pork was full of gristle, and just not worth the 200 baht charged. A lot of you will eat here and go home with stories of eating a real local Thai restaurant... this is an overpriced poor quality version of the real thing. We paid our bill and left, with the owner oblivious to the poor experience he put us through. Give your tourist dollars to a more deserving enterpruse, they are not hard to find.

The grilled prawns and pad thai were really fresh and delicious. Very authentic cooking and reasonably priced. A must try!

Awesome food. We ordered bbq shrimp, bbq squid, bbq crab, fried beans and pad thai with shrimp. As you can see from the picture, we finished everything. Great food, great service and without being harassed at the street to come and eat here. Loved it !!

100% Authentic Thai food. The most tasty food that I ate during 2 weeks that I spent in Thailand. The place isn't so fancy but it is pleasant and clean. Highly recommend!

My boyfriend and I chanced upon this place and ordered the grilled chicken and fried shells. It was superb! We loved it and it’s our favourite meal of our trip. The restaurant is run by a lovely couple. The food didn’t come very quick but only because the lady boss cooks all dishes by herself - the food was very worth the 10-15 min wait. We are coming back again before we leave Ao Nang!

Thank you for your lovely and good food. It is covidtime now. And this are difficult times. But you are still making a great time for your visitors.

Hands down the best and most authentic Thai food we had in Krabi. Quaint little stall run by husband and wife serving amazing food. There is a wait for the food only because she cooks each dish from scratch (even the sauce), but the wait is well worth it. A must-try.
