A beautiful, serene place worth a visit. We enjoyed a 800m - 1400m walk into the forest to witness the emerald pool. The walk itself was scenic and therapeutic; we witnessed calming waterfalls, sounds of birds and insects and nature. The emerald pool is all natural with beautiful dark cyan coloured water that comes from trapped rocks underneath the surface. You’re free to dip in the pool as long as you have a swimsuit. It’s recommended to visit earlier in the morning rather than later in the afternoon as it closes at 16:30 pm. Do note that there is a 20 baht entry fee for Thai adults, while foreigners will be charged more. Other than that the public sanctuary also has a bird observing attraction worth a visit.

a beautiful place where you can swim in a natural pool. The water has an emerald green color, hence the name Emerald Pool. The natural pool is surrounded by a lush jungle. Through the jungle run small streams that come together and the Emerald Pool is the wonderful result of this! Closes at 4:30pm. Better to visit emerald pool first then go to hot spring.

Located 40 minutes from Ao Nang Beach, this place offers a great natural pool for swimming and jungle trekking. It rained heavily when we reached the blue pool so it was really an amazing experience trekking thru the forest. The first stop is the emerald pool and the last stop is the blue pool but swimming is prohibited at the blue pool, swimming can be done only at the Emerald pool. The entrance fee is 400 Baht

If you see a scene like this, will you keep quiet without splash into the water? Just with 200 bath to enter this national park, you can see an emerald pool in conservation area. With a lot of wild plant and animal. Natural atmosphere accompanied me through the trail to the emerald pool. Birds and forest song blends beautifully with the sound of the river around it. Various kind of flowing water, some are through shallow pools, deep and areas, also ripples from river flow contours. Some parts beside the emerald pool are slippery because of moss. While the bottom of the pool is sandy which will become cloudy if there is too much turmoil in the water. The rest of the pool is clear with the nature temperature. Make sure you don't bring any food and all kinds of soap. It seems the prohibited is a management effort to maintain the naturalness and cleanliness of this area. Must see while you’re in Krabi!

(Translated by Google) For this place, it is suitable for people who like to walk and see nature. At present during the coronavirus, the park is not allowed to swim in the pool. There is a Thai national park entrance fee of 20 baht. As for the parking fee, depending on the place you parked, some places are 30 and some 40 are very beautiful places. Along the way, you will see a variety of trees and forests that we have never seen before. Considered to be untraditional knowledge Beauty in itself The distance for hiking is about 1 kilometer (along the bridge), it is recommended to visit here first. After that, go back and take a dip in the hot waterfall. Nothing interesting, excepts you pay 200 thb as a tourist only to follow a very narrow 1,4 km pathway to see a pond that looks nothing like in pics. Crowded.

The Emerald Pool is a beautiful place where you can swim in a natural pool. The water has an emerald green color, hence the name Emerald Pool. The natural pool is surrounded by a lush jungle. Through the jungle run small streams that come together and the Emerald Pool is the wonderful result of this! The swimming area is about 20 meters wide and between 1 and 2 meters deep. But also in the many small streams that the park has you can swim and bathe in different places. The area is actually a kind of natural water paradise! The water contains minerals that are said to be good for your health, so that’s a bonus!

Beautiful emerald pool with swimming facilities and hot streams. You can enjoy a swim in this pool by yourself or with your family, kids also absolutely love it. You can relax in the shade of the trees nearby. There are changing rooms, bathrooms and snack bars nearby. We absolutely loved it and had a great time. You should definitely make time to visit this place, you will not regret it. Hope this helps 🙏

Nice and beautiful forest. Plenty of parking outside. Entrance for foreigners was 200thb per head. It was raining when we visted. You can find raincoats being sold outside at around 25 thb. The walk was still great despite the rain, just be careful of slippery rocks. The blue lagoon was closed, only opened on certain months of the year.

It's started to be rainy by the time we entering the gate. The gate will charge you 200baht for adult and 100baht for child per person. You can see the lust green surrounding you along the pathway towards the emerald pool. It's a bit confusing by the time you reach the fork on your pathway as it doesn't tell how long to reach the pool on each way. We just select to take the left one and after about 10 min we arrived at the Crystal pool. And after moving forward we reach the Emerald pool. It's a breathtaking view in front of us with a crystal clear water with blue emerald color of the pool bottom. The rain doesn't hinder us to explore more and to take more pictures. But please be careful especially when standing on the pool side as it is quite slippery there!

Dual pricing. foreigners have to pay 10X what locals pay. Avoid this discrimination. The staff at the entrance is unfriendly and almost demanding you pay the 1000% price. Best part is they think that is the right/correct thing to do: charge 1000% the usual price solely due to a different passport. You are unable to swim despite paying 1000% the normal price. Top area of the pool is closed too. I feel sad for the majority, kind-hearted Thai people.

A natural place with clear turquoise water. The pond is small but captivating, around the size of a small swimming pool. It can be troublesome to get into and out of the pond because of the slippery surface. Information 1. There are multiple ponds on-site, for example a blue pool and others. 2. All other pools close by 3:30 PM. Only the Emerald pool is open by 4:30 PM. 3. It takes roughly 2 hours to drive from Ao Nang beach to the pool site. You can drive a car or a motorbike. 4. Non Thai visitors must pay 200 THB per person as entrance fee. 5. The pool is 800 meters from the entrance. The road is not so nice. Be prepared. 6. The pool has toilets and changing rooms on site, nearby the pool. 7. There are multiple restaurants for lunch or dinner. I did not try them. 8. Most items are priced with 30% extra markup as compared to Ao Nang beach.

If you are looking for an adventurous trip, then it's the wrong place for you. This place is basically a shallow swiming pool. Plenty of people inside the pool just chilling and relaxing. Very easy to walk. Of course not much view to expect as well. But if you are looking for a relaxing pool, probably it is good for you. Since 200B per entry if you are foreigner, while Thai only need 20B, not recommended if you are foreigner just wanna swim there. You can probably swim with less crowd at your resort/hotel.

Emerald Pool in Thailand is an absolute gem! The stunning natural beauty of this place is truly captivating. The crystal-clear, emerald green water is like something out of a dream. It's the perfect spot to cool off and relax amidst the serene surroundings. The lush green forest adds to the charm and makes it a picturesque destination for nature lovers. The pool itself is well-maintained, and the facilities are clean and convenient. Whether you're looking for a peaceful swim or a tranquil hike, Emerald Pool is definitely worth a visit. Trust me, you won't be disappointed! 🌿💦🌴

This place apply a double pricing. 20 thb for Thai people, ten times this price for foreigners (200thb) - on top after 2pm you can visit only half of it as the blue pool is closed before that time. The place itself is ok, overated overall.

400TB per adult which I feel is expensive for what it is. The walk through the jungle was fine and the pool itself is lovely and great for a swim, and has some fish in there. We walked to the Blue Lagoon but for us it wasn't worth the walk, was a smaller blue pool of water that you can't swim in. We went early in the morning and were the only one in the pool for some time which was nice. Was nice to see the emerald pool but unsure if it's worth £20.

Very disappointing, the blue pool is closed (cannot be approach) and you cannot swim in the emerald pool. The guard also asking for 200 THB instead of 100 THB for foreigners. And you still pay the 40 THB of useless car parking. Don’t go there or really check the situation before to get up early

We were on a Friday "morning" there (so between 10h - 10:30h and it was not too crowded. It was nice to see the blue pool with almost no tourists, and there was also nobody at the small temple between the pools. We got there with a tour, so not sure if you have to buy the ticket in advance. It's recommended to go there before 15h, because after that time the blue pool is closed.

A wonderful quiet piece of Earth's paradise. The emerald pool is clean and well maintained. There aren't many tourists during Covid, and a beautiful walk through the forest leads you to the final location, which features a wonderful blue-colored pool. If you're tired of going to the beach, this is a must-see :)

There are two trails going up. The longer one is actually an easier walk as you don't feel the climb up, it is also a lot more scenic. You can swim in the Emerald Pool and there is a restroom to change. The water isn't too cold (as there's supposed to be a hot spring somewhere) .

Considering me and my wife were in Krabi, we decided to visit the Emerald Pool once again like we did six years ago. The water was still beautiful and some adjustments were made for the safety of people, yet the wildlife has been reduced by a lot. All the many fishes that used to be here have almost all disappeared.

This place is cool and if your are close to this place you should go there, but on the other hand I think this place is overrated at all. Pools are beatiful with clean and you can swim in them. Which I don’t like it that you have to pay for everything. Parking (15THB), restrooms (5THB), locker near to emerald pool (25THB), entrance fee (200THB). I feel like only business for them, like never ever in Thailand.

Most of the park is closed off and no swimming is allowed due to Covid19 related restrictions. For this reason (I guess) entry is free for Thai nationals, or anyone who passes as a Thai national, however foreigners are still charged full price (200 THB). In essence this park currently only offers a glorified emerald colored pool - I don't think that what it has on offer justifies the entrance fee (or the long drive from Ao Nang or Krabi town to get here)

(Translated by Google) Krabi Emerald Pool is a very clear pond. The water in the pool is crystal clear green and visible under the pond. There are tourists who are constantly watching the beauty and taking a dip in the icy water, suggesting that people who enter the pool have to be patient and really hard to see the Emerald Pool. All You need to know about Krabi Emerald Pool Krabi Emerald Pool (Sa Morakot) is one of a unique fascination in southern Thailand. Krabi is notable for regions of exceptional characteristic beauty and one spot that you must see is the Emerald Pool. Emerald Pool is in the Thung Teao Forest Natural Park, an unordinary marsh backwoods rich in bio-assorted variety, complete with a precious stone lake and a nature trail.

Walk through the jungle to the Emerald Pool and Blue Pool. In the Emerald Pool you can swim. In the Blue Pool it's not allowed. I recommend Mosquito Repellent for the way and take water with you. Amazing colors and nature, but kind of crowded

  • 4/5 Syafiq R. 1 year ago on Google
The emerald pool itself was pretty nice and a relaxing dip overall. Water goes up to shoulder/neck height, there are ropes on the side to help you climb in/out of the pool. It’s pretty big so despite the number of swimmers there’s still plenty of space to swim around. Trekking further down the forest leads you into the blue pool which you cannot swim in, but makes for a nice shot. The colour difference is really apparent between the two and looks phenomenal up close. Word of advice: please book for a round trip to go here as it’s pretty far out and it’s difficult to find transport back to krabi town or ao nang. Also: Made a mistake thinking the crystal pool here was referring to the hot springs - it is not and there are no hot springs here. The krabi hot springs is a short 15-min detour from emerald pool and tour services usually pack both these places in a day tour since they are nearby.

This is a wonderful gateway place from the maddening crowds of Bangkok. Tucked neatly in the island of Krabi, this pool is easily accessible if you hire a moped for a day. You can bring a wonderful picnic and soak yourself in the lap of Mother Nature. Nearly an hour’s ride from central Krabi, don’t forget to carry your swimwear -‘d towels. PS: There are a few snack stores and restaurants outside the pool area. The pool closes at 4 p.m.

Beautiful park with lots of well curated trails. The main areas then to be overwhelmed with tourists and large groups. The hike is a little longer than expected. It's not for the faint of heart. Many of the paths didn't have hand rail in place. This created a bit of a hazard, IMO. However, it also adds to the experience.

Best location for nature lovers and for the photographer Best way to enjoy is to reach out there at early morning around 8 in your rental car because if you are late then there will be more people and less enjoyment for you. There are two ways to reach their after you are inside the gate choose right side short way to reach at emerald pool and in return take the long way with wooden floor. If you plan Emerald Pool , Hot springs and Tiger cave tample in a single day with rental CAR it will cost you around 1800 -2000 bath.

Such an incredible experience this was. It is a 1 km walk to Emerald Pool from the entrance area. But it is definitely worth it, the path is right through the forest. We decided to drive to Emerald pool via motorbike which took us 1 hr 30 mins. As per our research this place gets very crowded mid morning so we decided to leave earlier and got to this gem at 9am. We were a bit skeptical in the beginning as we were 1 out of 3 small groups there. At one point we had the pool to ourselves. By the time we left(10am) we saw 3 huge tour busses and 5 vans full of tourist arriving. We were super relieved with our decision. So if you ever decide to go, make sure to arrive before 10am! We managed to visit all three pools (Crystal, Emerald, and the blue lagoon). Note that you can only swim in the Emerald pool. It was super clean and clear. I recommend to bring aqua shoes, mosquito spray as you’ll be walking through hungry mosquitoes! And of course a towel. Swimming is a must! The water was very refreshing on a hot day. Entrance fee has been increased to 400 baht for tourists. Please note that they don’t accept card and toilets are 5-10 baht.

Entry cost 400 Tbat. It took me an hour to see everything. You can swim in the pool, the water is just very warm. It was okay and you could walk nicely, but a jungle means something different

I had the opportunity to visit the Emerald Pool, which is about an hour away from Aonang. It was an incredibly beautiful experience. The water had a stunning emerald color, and the temperature was perfect. I was pleasantly surprised by how clean the surroundings were, and there weren't many mosquitoes bothering us. Being part of a tour group was a great decision as they ensured our safety and provided comfortable transportation. However, one thing to keep in mind is that if you spend too much time swimming in the Emerald Pool, you might find it more challenging to make your way up to the Tiger Cave. So it's wise to conserve your energy wisely. Overall, my visit to the Emerald Pool was a memorable and enjoyable experience. The breathtaking beauty of the place and the refreshing water made it truly worthwhile.

A nice place for a dip after a long walk. Entrance fee is steep for tourists for the same experience as the locals. I could see some plastic bags thrown into the trees by irresponsible people so a more thorough rubbish removal would be better. I love how the walkway is build in between the trees and raised above the ground. Shows how mindful they are of the surroundings. Overall, I enjoyed my visit there.

(Translated by Google) This location will take you to thw private parking where you need to pay THB 40 fpr that. It sounds ok to me unless I visited there during Covid where there are plenty of space for public parking a little further down and even closer to the entrance available. They wont disclose that to you as it will affect their earning collected from you. Therefore, it is good to know and highly recommended not to exactly follow theap but go a little further when you see the first orange sign and turn left to that imediate alley. It will take you to the closer parking. Then, you can enjoy the pool inside. There is a shttle for THB 150 fpr round trip to get right to the pool. The distance is not that bad to walk tho. (800 meters per one way) There is a parking lot closer inside. Recommend to go beyond the point that the map tells you to go to the alley. The entrance fee to the toilet there is also expensive at 10 baht per time. Inside there is a free toilet. If you don't have much pain, you can come inside. From the entrance to the pool at a distance of 800 Meters per leg, continue walking, the pond can pop, but walk an additional 600 meters per leg as well. During this period, it is open to visitors until 2:00 pm, you should check carefully before you go. The entrance fee for a foreigner is 200 baht. The armies are taking care of the place so it's safe and clean. Plastics and food are not allowed inside but can bring drinks. There are 2 ways to go there, can take the big, flat, not concrete road, a little bit steep but will took you only 10-15 mins to walk. The other way is the manmade walkway, like a boardwalk, it's nice, can see a lot of mangroves, can do picture takings but it's a little bit far, will take you like 20-30 mins of walking. I recommend if going inside, take the boardwalk one and going out, take the not concrete road.

Check in could be improved. My reservation was changed into 7 days, but the staff had it only for 3 days. Parking a car is very limited only 4 or 5 . I expected a water cooker ( as this is an expensive resort ) but there was none. The room is beautiful with a fantastic view.

200thb for foreigners, Thai 20thb. Money well spend, nature is great however charge 10 times more is steep, double or triple charge acceptable like any other country. No food or drink allowed from outside, no picnics. Keep your voice low for wildlife. There is a small market for drinks, ice-cream, normal price. No food for sale. Overall, it is must be visited if you are nature lover like us.
