We had a great stay here except for one employee, Bam (I believe was her name was). She was rude throughout our whole stay, accused us of lying that her staff didn't bring us water, pretty much just made for an awkward and unfortunate experience. It is sad for the business because aside from the poor experience with her, it was a nice place otherwise. Would recommend staying at another place to dodge this woman and her poor management.

The Viewpoint Resort in Railay is pretty basic accommodations from what we experienced. The price is up there as with anything on Railay. Rooms were cleanish (the walls had stains on them). There was AC in the room that worked well. You could sign up daily to have your room cleaned which we did and had no issues with. There is a pool on the property that was nice. Some of the things we noticed about the resort: Garbage and unfinished construction everywhere. The toilets near the restaurant of the property had no toilets seats (come on guys, invest in toilet seats....Seriously). When we first arrived we laughed because the front of desk staff made it VERY clear we were only to have TWO waters per day, no more no less. Alright. Got it. Only two free waters. And we had to collect them at the desk, they will. Not be brought to our rooms when they are cleaned. We had to exchange our own towels at the front and the cleaning service did not do this for us. Overall it was an OK experience but I don't think I will go back to Railay. Two visits in a span of 5 years is enough for me.

We reserved a night over booking.com.When checking in we inquired about staying another night. Ladyboy at the desk assured us that we can come by the next morning and they will have the same room and price for us. The next morning when we wanted to extend our stay the price lifted $5 and they did not have the room for us. If we knew this then we would have just booked the night before. The resort is pretty empty so there is no reason to be cheating customers. Very inconvenient to be packing and moving again. When booking just do it through the website rather than dealing with the people at the front desk. After repacking the room it suddenly became available but we still needed to pay $5 more. They don’t have any respect for our vacation time as we now need to unpack. They specifically told us they had no rooms with fan and we had to move.

Just don’t stay here. The room is old, AC is slow. The bathroom sink was leaking, the fridge was leaking and no hot water. You can find other places with better rooms and price. I wanted to use the laundry option, the staff didn’t want to help at all. Bad smells across the hotel and the pool was dirty. I don’t even know how they have 4.3 reviews. Worst hotel I stayed in Thailand.

We had a really bad stay at Railay Viewpoint Resort. First we got a room which was nothing like the room we booked online. After we insisted, we got a room which was better but still not like the pictures, very rusty and old. Every night we had some cockroaches in our room. On our last day, before we checked out, 5 ladies came to our room for cleaning, before we checked out, while all our stuff was still in the room. The staff was rude and not nice. They had no intention of helping in any request. This place is not recommended at all!

Staff were ok. Rooms were terrible. we booked for 4 nights and left immidietly after the first night. Major cockroach infestation and it was just a nightmare. nothing the reception could do, our loss.

Liked: Excellent view from the second room I stayed in, on the higher of the two-floor cottages and near the front. The first room I was in and many others did not have a good view. The location was pretty good. But everywhere is on Railay beach as it is so small. Disliked: ***I went during the time where foreign tourists could not enter the country and on top of that all climbing on railay beach was closed due to Covid-19. This meant the area was really suffering so allowances can be made but I am comparing relative the resorts my friends were staying at at a comparable price (~800 baht per night instead of ~700 I paid). *** First room had a shower with terrible water pressure and no heating. Second room was much nicer including an excellent view but hadn't been cleaned properly. There was a sharp peice of broken glass which cut me when I was walking barefoot in the room. The water policy was very disappointing, Everywhere I have stayed in Thailand (apart from super cheap couple 100 baht a night places) provide drinking water. This place didn't, I was told I would have have to spend 30baht for 1.5 litre bottles, but couldn't even do that as the staff couldn't unlock the fridge for me! I had breakfast one day at Diamond resort and they filled my 2 litre water bottle free of charge.

Very rude staff, it really seems they care nothing about your stay, just about money. In my room the sink was broken, no water running. I told them 4 times and every time they said to me they were about to fix it. It never happened. I changed the room the last day. I also asked information about taxi boat, wanted to check at what time they started in the morning and the lady at the reception told me that i had to take it on another beach, railay west, which was a lie since the hotel is on the east side where there is a pier full of taxi boats. Last thing: i asked for a paper printed, in front of their printer and they told me better to make it in ao nang beach. What is you problem?? Its a pity cause i found the place nice but there are plenty of nice places there so don't go there.

Lovely and cheap resort. Rooms are basic but have all you need. Easy access to anything in Railey.

The bungalow was very clean which was good, but the food at the restaurant was not that great, and we had stomach ache every day after breakfast (we think it probably was the ice in our coffee’s). The worst is that they (or someone near the resort) burns trash right above the bungalows so a very toxic smell overrun the place. The place next door is also under construction so it was very very noisy all day (from 8 am to 8 pm). Worst place we have stayed at during our vacation in Thailand.

the room was cozy and the reception people were very kind and helpful but the location is not the best. we also had monkeys jumping around on ur roof all night which was quite funny and kinda scary when they dropped down onto the porch.

Room clean but litte old, I love the beautiful scene here with trees, flowers and beautiful Thai home design. Because I went there in the low season so a little bit rain and tourists, so asmophere quite of boring and very quite, darkness at night.

This a great value room, even during high season. Yes its a bit dated, no safe or TV in room, a little dark in the room. BUT it's located at one of the nicest places in all of Thailand. It is clean and comes with breakfast at a super reasonable price. If you are on a budget and want to stay at Railay, this is for you! My son and I stayed for a quik overnighter and it served our needs very well!

Terrible experience. Stayed the one night and asked if we could extend for the same room, the lady said we could come back in the morning to extend another night. Next morning we are told there are no rooms and to upgrade for an extra $10. Find somewhere else to stay.

It was fine I mean you pay for what you get. There is no WiFi in the rooms though. Breakfast was good but as we got a voucher for ours we did notice differences each day for example on one day we got an additional French toast whereas other days we only got fruit. Our room struggled with hot water but there was Aircon. Overall it was fine.

Bang for your buck for a private room on Railay. I wanted a break from dorm rooms while backpacking and this was very nice. Nice pool and a garden with water that had many frogs in it at night

Rooms are a bit outdated... but it was very cheap. And manager at the desk was very helpful and gave us even better discount, because it was only room available and was far from the beach.. rooms are spacious and clean, but wooden windows have tiny holes where all bugs and mosquitoes are coming through, but you can sleep on large bed with net cover on it. And in general Railay beach is the best place I have been. Really enjoyed stay there with lots of options for restaurants and beach bars.

This resort is beautiful! The breakfast is delicious, be sure to try a thai omlette. The service is fantastic! Bam, Pati, Ni, Bombay, & Nan were so warm and welcoming. We got awesome recommendations for the area and even got to go squid fishing & Island hopping in a Longtail boat. Highly recommend this place for the food & the good vibe.

Place was ok. We found a bug on our bed right when we got there but it was the only one. We googled bed bugs and it really looked similar. We didn’t fuss but just showed the owner. He blamed the bug on us! Said it was from our luggage. We literally just got there. He did offer to change our room. We asked to stay an extra day and he wanted to charge us 7$ more a night so we said no. Management did not give us a good impression. Breakfast was good.

Fun to climb to and not too far from town. Not the most spectacular view but can see monkeys eating in the afternoon. Best done in addition to the lagoon nearby

Location was good. Room we had was very average and definitely over priced. Some staff I found to be very rude. Room stunk and we felt like we couldn’t stay in there for long periods of time other then going to sleep.

Air conditioner room with half board. It definetly worth It!!! The room was Big, plenty of storage space, confortable and beautifully decorated. The breakfast is buffet with plenty of choices and the dinner is a set meal, we were serve something diferent every night and It wasnt just delicious It was enought for 3 people( we are 2) . The staff was really nice and helpfull, and the hotel is just 5 min walking from pretty much everything in railay. We expected far less for what we paid, just amazing

Didn’t stay here, just got food from the restaurant. Didn’t expect much after reading some of the reviews but the food was a satisfactory slay. We got Thai food. There are also cats to pat and look at if you are into that. Make sure you sit in front of one of the mechanical fans if you don’t want to die of heatstroke as it is quite shawty fire burning on the dance floor here in railay. I would recommend getting the thai iced tea as your beverage. I forgot to take a pic of the food but remembered after I had eaten it so see attached my food after I ate it. Peace and love

We came because the reviews and ratings were pretty good. We took a good room, not the cheapest! And photos looked great. In short- really bad experience, worst place we've been to on our 3 weeks in Thailand. - The staff not nice at all, when we asked for towels to take shower (after checkout) they didn't want to give us. In the end the gave us only one! - The room wasn't like on the photos. They show the nice parts of the room, the rest is quite dirty and unmaintaned. - Bugs and cockroaches in the room. - Our room was close to a bar that have parties until 2am so some times it was annoying.
