Entrance to the national park costs 200 baht per person. The trail is 3.5 km long. We have reached the top in 2 hours including breaks for rest and turning off the trail to the waterfall (10 min) and pond (10 min). It took us 1 hour and 10 minutes to get back. The view from the top is just amazing. For people who are active this trail is not too difficult but the advice is to take enough drinking water with you. The good thing is that the whole trail is in the shade and there is no direct exposure to the sun. If you love nature and hiking this is the perfect thing for you

Really a unique hike through the Thai jungle. I wasn’t feeling really well at all, but I managed to do the hike pretty quickly (about 2,5 hr in total), excluding 2 breaks of 5 minutes, and a 10 minute step at the top. The trial is intermediate, with a lot of elevation gain within a short time span (over 230 meters), which makes it slightly challenging, especially considering the heat. It was a soaring 30 degrees. The humidity also wears you out pretty quickly, so keep this all mind. I’d recommend: - Bringing at least 1,5 to 2 liters of water - Check whether you feel energized and fit enough to take on this feat - I did the hike in regular Nike sneakers. Not really recommendable, but I managed. Preferably, get some hike shoes or trial running shoes. - Be as early as possible. I started 10.30, and this was way too late. You should start around 8.00. - During the hike, you will mainly see fauna (the jungle). Enjoy this unique experience, as you will not get this experience in other parts of the world!

I loved every minute of this tough hike. It’s almost entirely vertical save for a few flatter / downhill parts, but it’s fun, it’s beautiful terrain, it’s beautiful jungle, and breathtaking views at the top and on the way. I went at 8 AM when the National park opens and so the trail was pretty empty then. I tend to move fast so I was up within an hour, but it definitely gets your heart racing. When you get to the top, take as much time as you want to take in the views, and appreciate where you are. Please wear sensible clothes and shoes and take plenty of water. it’s hot, humid, and muddy, so plan for these factors. Worth every painstaking step to reach the views on top.

I think straight there and back could be done in 3 hours. I took 4 hours with about 20 minutes at the top and 185 photos later 😅 1.5L of water was just enough and I agree with the other reviews in that this is a moderate hike, with some areas that are difficult and only recommended for those of good fitness and flexibility. Very shaded so hat and cream not necessarily needed other than mosquito spray. Views at the top are spectacular, especially when you consider much of this was seabed at one time. If you go right to the top where Dragon Crest’s rock is, you may want to keep walking past it for equally amazing views of the rock and scenery.

Amazing amazing trail! The views from the top are INSANE! Couple tips: go as early as you can, so it's not as warm and also so you avoid the crowds and get the summit for yourself! The first half is a bit strenuous but then it gets considerably easier, so don't give up, but do go at a comfortable, do take plenty of water and do wear good shoes! When you get to the top, don't stop only at the first viewpoint, keep doing a loop of the summit with the cliffs to your left, that way you see all the viewpoints and end up back at the trail. Enjoy!

So, I read almost all the reviews and got a bit worried before we took this path uphill. But anyway, we did it. So here are the facts. We are a family with 4 kids - 13, 10 , 7 and a 5 years old. Everyone today reached the peak! 28 degrees, started 8:20, took us 5 hours and a little bit more than 2 liters of water. The shoes were normal street shoes. It was not an easy hike but, totally manageable. Just had to watch the youngest one because he is so quick and some parts of the track are near abyss. The view up there is magnificent!

Such an amazing and rewarding hike. The views are just breathtaking, when you get to the top. You have to pay 200 baht per adult, as a foreigner and sign a log on entry and exit of the trail. The trail itself was clean and we didn't see any plastic. I suggest you take your time at the peak and explore the multiple viewpoints. Bring some snacks and lots of water as it can get quite humid during the hike through the evergreen rainforest. Prepare to sweat. :D

It is such a long trail to reach the viewpoint. It look me probably 2 hrs to get there. The view is stunning indeed but you can not stay up there too long because the weather is hot. You will see beautiful ocean view. Don’t forget to look at the ground, there are cute moss and carnivorous plants to check out. Recommend! Oh the picturesque spot that you can sit is prohibited to enter.

It was a good hike of 4km in total going up. 3.7km up to the dragon crest itself and another 300m on the way to the waterfall. We reached the viewpoint in 1.5hrs only even in my chuck taylor😅 so it really depends on how fast your pace is and I would recommend a proper hiking or comfy shoes. We only took two 5-10min break. The trail is nice, full on nature so you would really get to enjoy and experience the nature/jungle. It is better to climb up the viewpoint during good weather because the trail can get really sketchy if it’s raining plus you might not be able to see a lot as it gets foggy when it rains. Overall it was a good hike. Also, you will need to pay 200b for the national park fee if you’re a foreigner. Also, the waterfall wasnt that much but it was a good way to freshen up yourself on your way down as the water is clean and cold. The best thing about this hike is you can go up on your own without having to take a guide. The trail was quite easy enough to follow.

Fairy difficult hike up to the summit of dragons crest the retun trip was nearly 6 miles with 550 meters of incline. Will take a good 4 hours all in. Bring trainers or hiking shoes not sandals and the way up is very seep and uneven. You will be pretty much climbing in some places. The view from the top is completely worth it though. Entry fee is 200thb for foreigners.

This is a fantastic hiking trail! For me it is well maintained without being too well maintained. It’s hard to get lost but they haven’t removed all the tree roots, rocks and things that make a hiking trail interesting. I went in the rainy season and there were still birds and very loud insects. The view was amazing. It costs 200 baht for foreigners. My only gripe is that the trail opens at 8:00. Personally I would have liked to go earlier to hear the dawn chorus and so that I wouldn’t have to walk in such strong heat. This is a good 3-4 hour hike depending on your fitness and how many pics you take. Make sure you bring water and don’t wear flip flops.

Great hike. Not to difficult, but also not very easy. Takes approximately 1,5 a 2 hours to get up. And 1 hour to come down. Great view and well, one tip, go as early as you can, before lot of people go, it is a very touristic hike, so you see a lot of people. But still great. Entrance is 200 baht.

I began my hike at 5am. It was pitch black through the wood but the path was clear and a few points with signs confirming the correct path. My 5am start mean I arrived at the top for sunrise. No tourist and the views were AMAZING!!!

I live in Colorado and love a great hike. This is a great hike. Up around 2000 ft through tropical lush green. The trail is steep and with tree roots and rocks but also very well maintained. Reaching the top is a reward well worth the trip. Views are 360 and amazing. Enjoy the photo opportunities.

(Translated by Google) Walking up the hill for only 15 minutes, it rains and then stops and then falls again. When I reach the top of the viewpoint, I can't see anything but rain clouds. Told myself that it shouldn't come in the rainy season at all Because I don't see the view Date of visit: October 18, 2020, climb up the mountain from 6 o'clock until the top, and you cannot go to see the overhanging rocks. Should have closed the path due to danger Visitors are not allowed to walk in. Therefore not much of an interesting point No entrance fee to the national park Clear corridors Can walk up alone Without having to rely on officials or guides, the distance from the bottom checkpoint to the summit is about 4.47 kilometers, can walk up and down in one day, including a distance of up and down 8.4 kilometers If you want to see the stars, it's better to go in winter, you can put a tent up there. There is no bathroom on the top. And no water source Therefore, if overnight, should prepare drinking water as well. Hiking should carry at least one bottle of 600 milliliters or more drinking water during a hike. Visited on Sunday 17th April 2022. Took about 2 hours to reached the top with plenty of rests and water breaks. I found first 1.5-2km was quite steep. But the rest of the way up got easier. Stunning views at the top. Definitely worth it. 1.5 litre of water was enough for me. Mostly shaded until you get close to the top. It was free to enter. Parking spaces, toilet, drinks on site.

It was definitely worth it! Nice hike through wild nature, but the path was pretty OK in comparison with other trails to viewpoints we already went in Thailand. Just go in the morning, we started at 9am. There is an entrance fee 200 THB per person and you must show your covid vaccination certificate. Toilets are available. It took us 1h 50mins to get to the top. Views are amazing. Would go again. That famous stone you see in the pictures is there but there is a barbed wire for not going there and a fee 2 000 THB for violation. Of course there is no one to check it so eventually you can go on the stone. We were also told by a ranger not to go to other parts of the trail e.g. to a waterfall. Take good shoes, enough water (2 litres per person were just perfect), mosquito repellent is also fine to have.

Great hike, beware it is steep for a few sections, but the views are worth it! Do make sure to go all the way to the top for a full panoramic view. Make sure to pack plenty of water and a few snacks. I wouldn't advise doing the track if it had rained recently as it can become quite slippery. Have good comfortable shoes and maybe to capture the wildlife. We were lucky to see a group of monkeys, lizards, monitor lizards and spiders. There also some spectacular tree giants to admire along the way.

The hike is heavy due to the heat and humidity, but is all worth it when you reach the top! The entrance for non-thai is 200 THB per person. Wear closed shoes with a GOOD grip. For us the way up took 1h50 and down 1h25. Come early before all the tours arrive, so you can enjoy the silence, we started at 9 and were alone on the top.

Fantastic hike with a beautiful view as reward. The total hike took us about 5 hours (up and down) and we took our time to enjoy the views. No guide is needed. We made the walk in the dry seasons and did not need special shoes to make the hike (we made it on our sandals).

Very beautiful and interesting hiking trail with absolutely insanely beautiful nature. The view point is stunning and incredibly beautiful 😍 It's absolutely worth going there for sure! Take enough water with you and trail runners or hiking boots! The entry fee is 200 per person for foreigners and scooter parking is free. A little bit of a shame that the trail isn't really well maintained even though we pay the entry for it.... But still absolutely worth it

I'm 6 feet, 170 pounds, generally athletic. It took me 1 hour 45 minutes to get to the top, stopped 4-5 times for photos and videos on the way. I stayed up for 2 hours. About 1 hour to get down (jogged some of it). Give yourself 5 hours to enjoy this or longer. I started at 8 am. Start early if you want to enjoy solitude. Uphill for 75-85% of the hike. Only a few flat areas. Good luck have fun! Highly recommend. Very peaceful at the top & weird nature noises throughout. You'll see!

Awesome hike up the hill through the nature park jungle to a beautiful view. It took as 1:30 hours for each direction. There are multiple nice views on the way. Bring mosquito repellant and enough water. You cannot buy anything on the way only at the entrance and it’s really warm. I also recommend going as early as possible.

Guys! This should be your to do list in Krabi, quite exhausted with a medium-active person like me. Your reward is an amazing view. I came in COVID time, at the beginning I thought I need to trek alone because there’re no tour operate the trek anymore. but lucky me there were some people there and they trekked with me, as long as took picture for me ❤️. My advice: please ensure you wear sporty ,’breathable’ outfit and super good shoes as the road is rocky, and easy to break your ankle; start early at 8am (opening time) so the weather is less hot and you have more time to monitor your speed (I took 4hrs and 20mins for both ways including 30mins taking photos on top); take photo of security number at entrance so you can call them if you have any problem inside; at 3pm they will stop letting people in and if you stay inside so late, the security will come and find you (so you will be safe); lastly, pls tip them when you complete the trek

This trail is suitable for intermediate/advance hikers. The trail is rocky, steep and root system everywhere. The view is breathtaking and highly recommended. Just a note that the weather is really humid so start early and be sure to pack some water and bug spray so you don't get eaten alive by mosquitoes.

Must do trail for all outdoor enthusiasts and nature lovers coming to Krabi. It offers a mix of tropical forest + streams + natural soil trail. For experienced trekkers it would be a walk in the park. For beginners please make sure to keep lots of water and take it easy in the start. Its going to take 1.5 hours minimum to get to the top so its just one step after the other. Full loop can take upto 4 hours if you keep in mind the time you spend on the top The view from the top and at lookout positions is just incredible. The hike is definitely worth the views.

Don’t under estimate the 3.7 km trail. Took us from 8.30am until 12.20pm up and down with water and photo stops. Tough little trail in my opinion. Hot day to do it no water at the falls as obviously there has been no rain in awhile. Great views. Take plenty of water! No charge but a donation box.

Absolutely stunning! The walk is really advanced level, we took 2h to reach the top and 1h15 to go back. You will have to climb ropes, stairs, and even use your hands to hang on to rocks. Be prepared, it is not easy. Not suitable for children below 10 in good condition. A few important tips to make the most out of your trek: NO FLIP FLOPS, there is no way you finish it without proper shoes BRING WATER, at least 1L per person. You won't be able to buy some on the tracks BRING FOOD for energy! Like bananas, cake, cookies... Something sweet You are at the shade the whole trek so no need for sunscreen or sunglasses. You should arrive early, like start at 8, to get the less people and beat the heat. Enjoy! The view at the top is really worth it!

So you start the walk up to the viewing point. It takes a little while before you actually realise that this is not a 3.5km stroll. You have just started a climb. It goes up, and up. When you think you are nearly there you realise that it goes up more and steeper. Do not underestimate the climb. Allow plenty of time and bring plenty of water and sensible footwear. The good news is that when you get to the top it was all worth it. WOW!

3 hours hike (for us, and we were not in a realy good shape) to the most wonderful view. Clean park, nice staff. We got there by scooter, and walk the rest of the way. You have to sign in before you start hiking and sign out when you finish, no fee but you can leave some money as donation for the park. You have a small shop at the bottom. You better have plenty of water. Long way up, difficult, almost 4 km if I m not mistaken, but it was worth it! Loved the sound the forest made..like in a Discovery documentary! Keep the trail and don't go into the forest!

Absolutely worth every effort to reach the top and to explore the path to the top! It is one of the experiences that you will always remember! It is better to start early in the morning before the heat begins even though the trail is covered by the jungle! Definitely you should have water with you!! It took us 4 hours in total! Amazing experience!

Wonderful hike! It took me 2 hours in total but I ran up 25% and 100% down. Tough and if your a casual tourist I’d say you won’t enjoy it, you need some athleticism and generally it’s 2 hours both ways. View is stunning.

(Translated by Google) Although the sign shows the working hours from 8.00, we arrived when it was not even half past seven. The huntsman was not there yet, and some girl gave me an entry in the journal. On the way, I met several groups of local residents (or maybe not locals), of Asian appearance, who were already returning. So, come early, no one will fix your obstacles. And in total, I drank no more than half a liter of water. So I drag a lot of recommendations, I think, superfluous. She is heavy! And on the rise, drinking a lot is not recommended. The road is not the easiest, but not prohibitive. It was raining the day before, but I didn’t stain the shoes too much - mostly sand was under my feet. In the most difficult places steps are installed. The climb is not too steep. We climbed the tiger cave for 45 minutes, but all the time it was steeply up, and here the ascent and descent took us 4 hours, but it is more gentle and extended.

Beautiful park with amazing view of Krabi. If you are with 2, rent a motorcycle to get there. If not, don't accept more than 1.100 in a tuk tuk ride there. Go with tennis shoes cause you'll find many terrains, small and big rocks, slippery earth, even stairs. When you get there don't miss the photo you can get when you reach the top and start descending to the right.

Another amazing thing to do in Krabi, apart from all the water related activities. The trek is quite difficult to be honest and I won't recommend it to people who are not 100% fit. It's about 4 Kms uphill and then 4 Kms downhill. Takes about two hours with normal pace and short breaks in between. Although you can do it faster. Like other reviewers, I do recommend taking atleast 2-3 litres of water per person for the trek and wearing good shoes. Trust me you will thank us for letting you know this in advance. Also do stop to see the amazing big lizards in the jungle. They are quite a sight. I haven't seen such big lizards ever in my life.

Beautiful hike and beautiful views, however they claim it’s 3.7 km when really it’s 3.7 miles! If you’re not fit enough (like me) then it’ll probably take longer than the average person to get up there, it’s very intense especially in the heat. Take plenty of water and snacks. Start early to avoid the midday heat! It took us maybe 3 hours to get to the top with lots of breaks and then perhaps 2 hours down. If you’re fit and active then you will absolutely love this. The path is very well maintained and the park rangers take safety seriously.

Hard but impressive hike in jungle, rewarded with stunning views. Track is well kept by the park rangers. Went by ourselves to arrive early (8:00) with taxi from hotel and pickup (there’s a few tuktuk’s waiting by the snack bar at the front gate but the trail is far from Ao Nang so recommend decent vehicle).
