This review needs explaining: The hotel is located really well in the middle of Ao Nang. The hotel itself is breathtaking at first with the lake surrounding the cottages and hotel rooms. Breakfast is good and clean, staff is friendly enough but nothing compared to similar priced resorts we stayed in south Thailand. Now here is the BIG but: When looking closer the whole place badly needs to be renovated. We stayed in one of the cottages (most expensive rooms) and many things were just NOT okay and would be so easy to fix. The mats on the beds on the patio were really old and worn down by the sun, we didn’t use them at all. The lights were very old and looked like they were about to catch fire any second - of which a couple didn’t work at all. There was a weird smell to the room which we didn’t experience in any other hotel on the trip. The tiles around the pools needed to be jet washed badly. So lots of small things that could easily be renovated, but make the overall experience a bit worse and made me question hygiene standards. Overall the high prices for the rooms are simply not justified due to these circumstances. If the hotel were 2-3 stars and cheaper, I would not complain about this. If the place were renovated or the prices lower, then it would have been an overall great experience.

I don't want to be too harsh, but this hotel in its hay day was probably top end with a price tag to suit. Very impressive as you arrive but that is about it. Unfortunately little on no investment has left this hotel looking tired. Staff fantastic and very attentive, but a lick of paint and some investment is needed to bring this back to its former glory. Booked with agoda for a room we thought would be a little special, but could have had similar nearby, for lot less money.

Property is located in a prime location. However misses on basic amenities and professionalism. We were told that the room that we are supposed to get is under renovation and an alternative was arranged after we showed up making us to wait. Wifi is a pain and keeps disconnecting. Our block is undergoing renovation as well whole we are accommodated. The icing on thr cake is the unavailability of hot water in the shower for which we had to wait for almost midnight to know that it will not be fixed and alternative is to use shower in another room! All these happened within hours of checking in and we are not sure what else to expect. Hopefully this experience shouldn't spoil our memories in Krabi.

I stayed in a premium room with my family where the two rooms could join. Our rooms were lovely, everything was clean, rooms were big , beds were comfy and the balcony space was great. The hotel has 3 pools and the views around the hotel are amazing . Staff are so incredibly friendly and they really made our stay better. It is also located in the peak of Ao Nang where you’re a 5 minute walk from many bars , restaurants and massage places .

Excellent silent location with good breakfast. However, the whole property is run down and i just a reminiscent of a nice 4-star it has probably been 20 years ago. All 3 rooms I was given in buildings 5 and 6 smelled horrible (mildew), had uncofortable beds, bad lights and in general need of renovation.

We stayed here in an overwater villa. Room size is definitely a positive factor in this review, the room was very spacious. From the outside, everything looked fine upon arrival, this changed quickly once we entered the “villa”. The AC was not working, they had to send a maintenance guy to fix it, this is at 11.30 pm after a long flight in. It took them about 1 hour to fix the AC. We didn’t want to be negative and just said, hey this can happen let’s not be negative. Unfortunately once we settled down and wanted to take a shower, the disappointment continued. The bathroom inside was very outdated, the tub was dirty and we did not feel comfortable bowering in there, luckily, there is an outdoor shower…. Very short lived hope… while the outdoor shower is a nice feature, it sucks that the people in the building behind you, specifically on the second floor can see right on yiur shower from their room/balcony. I cannot comment on all the rooms but our room in particular had no cover for privacy with respect to the outdoor shower. Additionally, the drains in the outdoor shower did not work. Please see the attached pictures for additional information. We asked at the front desk if we could switch rooms but they did not have any other room available so we had to deal with what we had. It was a very unfortunate and uncomfortable feeling. As we were not planing on spending much time in the room anyway we just dealt with it. After the disappointing shower, we were excited to finally lay down and get a nice rest, this was also short lived. The bed was two queen size beds ou bed together which made for great space, however, I cannot confirm that there was a mattress on the frame, to my feeling it was just a no spring with some cushioning, needless to say, it was very uncomfortable and it also made a lot of noise when turning or getting up. The bathroom was nothing special, low water pressure in the toilet, it barley flushed down when you went to the bathroom. Would rate the bathroom 4/10, it’s really in need of an upgrade. In the villa we had a nice balcony, the cushions in the chairs were old and not comfortable as such we did not spend much time out there, lastly, the water colour of the lake that you are overviewing will not encourage you to spend time on the balcony despite the stunning background scenery. Now to the positive, which unfortunately is very little. Location is 12/10, you have everything around you in short walking distances. Nightlife is great around the resort and yet when you go to your room, you don’t hear it at all! I will only give the service 2 stars becuase it was nothing special. It was my partners birthday during our stay and I had contacted the hotel prior to arriving to make arrangements for said birthday, I was told even if I pay, they won’t do anything it’s not something they offer. Yet when I went in person to complain about the room and the service, a manger magically had the room decorated the next day as an “apology” for not doing it in the actual birthday, while I can appreciate the kind gesture, this could have been done when I requested… There is one person at this resort that gets 30/10 for his excellent service. One of the staff at the front desk by the name of Aut, is an exceptional person who made everything more enjoyable. He was the most kind, honest, and helpful person at the resort. He booked us tours for very good prices and the tours he book us were very good and the guides were helpful and took care of us. He even apologized for the trouble we had with the room and tried everything to help us! One night there were bad mosquitoes, he came up to my partner and I right away and offered us a cream to help us deal with the itching! Aut, you made the stay enjoyable! To summarize, location is great and I can understand that this resort among others is still recovering from COVID-19, however the resort urgently needs some updating and renovations.

Stunning hotel and reasonable price! Great location, food and drinks in hotel is good and layout of pool, lake, views etc is amazing. Parts of the hotel could be updated but I think these maintenance issues are due to a loss of income during covid - and for the price we got and friendly staff it didn’t matter.

We had a superior room which is really big. I love the space in this room. Nice warm shower and a bathtube. I would recommend this so much!. Location is also perfect, close by the shops and the beach.

If we did not arrive so late the first night we would have walked in and right out of our room. Very dirty and disgusting. Smelled gross. The vents are filled with mold and dust. The bathroom is filled with mold and tub has not been cleaned. We slept with masks on because the moldy vent was blowing on us on the bed. We put clothing on the pillows so our faces didnt touch the dirty sheets. We checked out the next day. It was worth forfeiting our payment for the remaining 4 days to stay in a healthy environment. Right down the street we found a great hotel! We tried to get a refund. Management refused to even come out and speak to us, something I have never even heard of happening. Typically hotels try and accommodate their guests. They were "hiding" in the back room. The front desk told us the manager Michael is dishonest and will only refund if you write a review, but still probably would not. They said they cannot help but agreed the room was disgusting and understood why we did not want to stay there. WOW. So they are aware the accommodations are unhealthy- BIG sign not to book, because they have no incentive to clean up since they are non-refundable and the tourists keep coming. They seem to have a SCAM that if you book the standard rooms, they know they are disgusting and you will pay extra to move to the nicer suites... there was a long line at the front desk requesting upgrades because the standard rooms were gross. Heard from other guests that money and items went missing in their rooms. We did not feel safe. They serve instant coffee at breakfast... Would never recommend.

Only here for 2 days, but a wonderfully peaceful place especially after 3 nights in Bangkok! beautiful scenery looking out over the river. I would only suggest more sunbeds/beanbags where possible as by 9:30 all the beds are gone

It was a great stay. Trully peaceful, quite, and romantic. Made my mind away from worries. The room was spacious. The view was great. Food served for breakfast was great.

Such an amazing resort, I stayed here 6 years ago, so it was good to come back, the place is beautiful, location is the best, with a short walk to the beach and the markets, rooms are spacious and the service is always friendly and helpful. My only complaint, STOP letting people put towels out on the pool loungers for 6 hours without use, people were sunbathing on the grass and the beds not being used! So annoying hotels don't clamp down on this.

We had the bungalows in front of the lake. Amazing! The staff was so nice and try to help you if you have any questions. Also if you want a tour, they have partnership and can negotiate for you. This is a huge confort. Thank you very much for the time overthere.

Peace Laguna is a lovely resort, set back in a quiet lagoon in Krabi. We stayed in a hut on the resort, which was comfortable and spacious. The room has an outdoor shower, which was really warm and also private. It seems the door locking system we had in our room was either not fully working or too old, as we had to ask numerous times to get a new key card. Overall the resort is a lovely part of the world, and not far from anything in Ao Nang.

Friendliest staff that I've had at a hotel as well as value for money. The room is clean and well-maintained and spacious. Breakfast was good. The location is perfect. No complaints whatsoever. Exceeded all expectations. Booked all the Krabi and phi phi tours through the hotel as well. Highly recommend

Wonderful hotel close to the beach and on the main street in Krabi. I loved the lagoon and the abundance of trees and flowers. The place is quiet and you can relax. Rich breakfast. Staff is amazing! I stayed in a private cottage overlooking the lagoon. It was large and comfortable. I enjoyed the most the outdoor shower. I recommend this hotel.

Stay away from room 2108. We arrived after commuting multiple hours to a dark, damp, mildew / mould smell in the room that got quite nauseating as you entered the bathroom - dark, with little ventilation. Nearly no pressure in the shower. You cannot flush toilet paper (in any toilet in the resort) so you need to wrap it and place in an uncovered waste paper basket. Needless to say I was quite unhappy and complained to reception. They could not help me without asking the manager and told us to stay the night and come back to reception in the morning. 8am following morning, the manager, Anna, was helpful and upgraded us to room 6301. Lovely light, wonderful view of the cliffs, palm trees swaying in the breeze. Unfortunately the cupboard door fell off the hinge after the first night and there were red ants in the room crawling into the bed but at least no smell. Resort grounds are amongst the best I've ever seen. Huge iguana / lizards walking and swimming in the laguna, butterflies everywhere, tiny flying lizards, squirrels, fish in the laguna and in the ponds. The grounds truly made up for the poor first impression. Vegans, beware. There is only salad, fruit and cereals for breakfast. No hot vegan meals, no nuts, no nut butters, no plant milks / yogurts to have the cereals or for the coffee / tea. The manager, Anna, and also the staff did not know what vegan means and so after googling it, the kitchen staff prepared some rice & veggies the next day - which was very kind. I would say the resort is 3* at the MOST - the grounds are so magical and constitute the 1 star itself. I would not stay here again but thank you so much, Peace Laguna team, for helping us. Edit: 2nd night : housekeeping came at 19.00. 3rd night : came at 20.30 after 2 visits to reception. Ridiculous service.

4.5 stars. A hotel tucked away from the busy/trashy main road. Rooms are pretty especially with the open deck facing the lagoons. Service is hit & miss. Great friendly staff at reception but the team did ignore my request several times - asking for more water, toilet paper, mosquito repeller etc. - all on separate counts. The hotel overall is great for the value. I did walk past a room jam packed with 5 early 20s "dudes". Meh. Not attracting the right crowd I guess.. or someone from the reservation team was tricked .. you can't stop people from being cheap but it destroys other guests experiences

Overall we can tell that we were kinda disappointed by the hotel overall. The rooms did look nice when we booked but after we arrived we found out everything was kinda old and worn-out which just does not fit to a 4* hotel. The facility overall needs some urgent maintenance. What I was disappointed the most about is the way they handled my request in regards vegan breakfast. Zero offers, zero creativity finding a solution for my girlfriend - simply disappointed for 4*. Also, the buffet overall is not really impressive in comparison to other hotels. Would not recommend going there.

The best resort in Aonang. It's old, it's old. But too kind of staff, they solve problems right away. Breakfast is so delicious, and the pool is clean and nice. I stayed for 3 nights and 4 days, but I will definitely go back here because of the resort! It's already been a month, but I miss the staff Ps. Thank you for catching the lizard. And for not killing lol

The rooms are very old and smelly. They don’t feel clean either (some things were rusty, dusty or simply not clean). The smell comes from the drains so it’s awful. The staff wasn’t very helpful or particularly friendly besides the security guards. The breakfast was not great either , very basic and tasteless.

The location of the hotel is nice but breakfast is not good moreover they have only one bellboy. The rooms could be far and some buildings don't have lift too. overall If you are fit n young then no problem but if a senior citizen then it could be a small issue.

It was a really good resort I looved it. Break fast was good moderate options too choice from. Located at the best spot I believe because many entertainment places, restaurants, tour guides, snacks , beach etc was really close.

Overall nice place. Have big pool, beautiful environment. Some of the staff was helpful. Fat guy around the restaurant was kinda rude and not so friendly. Not so many people now due to season and covid. Only several people were staying.

Hotel environment is great. Location of hotel is good, very close to shopping street, and access to many restaurants. All the rooms decor is very plain and simple. Room card access to room, Furniture, air-condition, switches and power points are very old.

GOOD: The view is great. There are a lot types of rooms that you may choose. The balcony, sofa, bed in a good condition. Got many pillows (love it). They also have bath tub. BAD: This place is too quiet at night. A little scared to walk around there 😂 Need to wait at least 1 hour to get iron. I think they should provide iron in all rooms instead of let us call them to send iron. Overall, 4.5 star.
