Personally the way this hotel is advertised online is kind of deceiving. This is at most a 3 star property. That said it’s cheap and if you’re looking for a short stay pretty doable. The place is fine for people who prefer extended stays on a secluded beach away from the mainland and like a quiet escape. However, personally I wouldn’t recommend staying here for more than 2 nights at most. The hotel itself is quite old. The jacuzzi isn’t a fancy one but a very old and stained one. If you don’t mind putting up with a rough condition then definitely a good choice.

Beautiful location! Great, friendly service! Rooms were nice, but bathrooms were a bit outdated. The restaurant was very good and offered a delicious Pad Thai. We also had a very relaxing tradition Thai massage together at the spa.

This resort was the highlight of our Thailand honeymoon. The resort stretches from the east beach to the west beach. They. Provide a buggy service anytime to take you from the east cost to the west. Excellent service by hotel. Lovely breakfast at their restaurant right beside the pristine beach. You can relax at the sun beds rights beside the pool and look the tranquil sea all day long or swim in the sea all day. Not a speck of dirt in the sea. Local cafes, food , fruit, shakes and cocktail stalls nearby. We stayed for only one day but wished that we had planned a longer stay.

Saturday 26 November, late afternoon, about to watch the sunset. For the third day in a row, this 4 star hotel has no bottles of white wine to purchase. Only three types of red wine are available from the wine menu of a total of 20 (including white and sparkling) to choose from. The food and beverage manager should be fired, or at least given a serious reprimand. It’s not acceptable from a 4 star hotel full of international tourists. Breakfast and the service from those staff is also mediocre at best, not what it should be. One positive thing (aside from the gorgeous beach) should be mentioned - the reception staff are kind, efficient and welcoming. Management should take note and give their full attention to the above poor areas that are bringing the hotel down.

10/10 We just stayed here for our Honeymoon. We loved every second of it here. The views are the same shot you see when you see ads for Thailand (literally taken at their beach). The employees were all super friendly. Our room was very cool as well. The walking street right beside there was really cool & gave lots of food options. No complaints. We will be back for our 5 year anniversary, we loved it that much.

This was our 6th hotel in Thailand and the least impressive one, from all perspectives. It is on a beautiful spot, but that’s it. The kindness and good service we receive in Thailand was gone here. It misses the charm of the other places. It is a busy resort, check in chaotic, I felt I was on a camping. The cots are in the need for a serious fresh up. Beach towels have holes, the man that brings the suitcases did not leave the room until tipped, there are no hand towels, mirror dirty, breakfast just so so. Overall, disappointing. Overrated.

Great location. Staff is warm and always looking to help but sometimes a bit limited in their abilities to resolve basic processes such as collecting a simple payment for a drink. Restaurant food here was amazing but breakfast was just OK (fake orange juice at a 4 star hotel). Room was huge, but the shower did not have hot water for 2 days... basic service for any hotel

Lovely facility and wonderful staff. It is a great location. We brought our own climbing gear and did some amazing climbs. There are two pools and the one in the back is quite and relaxing. Sometimes it was difficult to get a pool towel. The restaurant has very slow service and we weren’t impressed with the food. I recommend the Indian restaurant a short walk away.

We booked two rooms at this property. The first room was a Private Cottage w/ Jacuzzi. Once we occuped the room we realized that the water to the jacuzzi was not working. The staff attempted to fill the Jacuzzi with the shower head. An hour & half later the jacuzzi was filled. The second room was a Luxury Pool Villa. This room was nice but the safe was having issues. We called the front desk multiple times and even went to the front desk to ask them to fix the safe. Even with the multiple requests the safe wasn't fixed. When I approached the front desk about these issues and asked for a credit or partial refund for the jacuzzi room which was inoperable I was told that I had to contact the booking app that I made the reservation with. This property lacks customer service and fails to resolve issues with their guests as in my experience. They would rather pass the buck than fix the issues when the guest is on site.

I think it's great value for money. The location is wonderful, probably the best in Railay Beach. First line to the beach and the view. The rooms are very nice.. And their only drawback may be that it is not possible to darken the room. The curtains are not sealed, so already at sunrise a lot of light enters the room. On the lower floor there are rooms with an outdoor jacuzzi, made of natural stone. No privacy for the naughty among you

This resort is in a prime location at Railay Beach. I stayed in a private Jacuzzi Villa unit 6001. This was a nice room that's a close walk to the beach. The resort is very large so some rooms can be quite a long walk to the beach. For me my 4 nights stayed here was the most enjoyable stay in all of my Thailand adventure. It was perfect, I couldn't have picked a nicer room to relax and enjoy Railay Beach. I would recommend this resort for anyone.

Great location and very nice staff. Breakfast options are ok, but might feel a bit basic. A bit dated air conditioning system in the rooms. We stayed in the Privacy villa, which was very private and nice. Included an outdoor shower, small jacuzzi pool (nice to refresh form the heat). Monkeys live and go through the hotel area.

Very nice stay at Railay Bay Resort. We had a small villa with our own plunge pool for one night and the room was very spacious. Bathroom was in lovely condition and very clean, as was the room. The pool had a few leaves in when we arrived but it was the rainy season so this is not the hotel’s fault. Room service was ok, food wasn’t anything special but tasted good and plenty of it. Breakfast was alright too but we’ve had better included at other locations. The price was a bit higher than other hotels we’ve stayed at in Thailand compared for what we got, but we expected that when choosing to stay in a location like Railay which is very specia and worth the uplift in local prices. Would have expected there to be more free options included in the mini bar for the room price (eg, previous hotels have included cans of soft drinks, biscuits and peanuts). Service was great, they run cheap longboats back to Ao Nam Mao (100B pp) and even a golf cart shuttle to get from reception to the boat with your bags.

Dirty bathroom (hair in the shower too), a snake, noisy AC, toilet not working properly, a room full of mosquitoes and awful staff! We checked in to a dated, dirty room full of mosquitoes. The toilet didn’t flush properly, the air conditioning sounded like a 747 taking off, but when we informed reception they told us staff would look at it. They didn’t. When we complained again they told me the room had been cleaned the toilet fixed and there was nothing wrong with the AC. All incorrect. We waited over an hour to have the room sprayed ( didn’t help much as the door doesn’t close properly so they just come in again). When I complained again about the ac noise they offered us three rooms to choose from, all opposite the construction site. The receptionist thought she was very smart doing that. Attitudes were appalling. Finally after bypassing the receptionists who seem to think all this is funny, the manager got engineering down to look at ( and fix) the ac. We gave up getting the toilet looked at, it was just too hard. Our deluxe cottage was actually a block of 4 rooms so we heard to the neighbours and their bathroom antics. A 300m walk to the beach does not make it “beachside’”. The staff were awful, conversation I had with other guests were that similar problems and treatment were normal here. AVOID if you want a good holiday. I would do a day trip to Railay in preference to staying at this overpriced resort.

Loved our 4D3N stay at the resort! We opt for the privacy cottage which came with our own jacuzzi which was lovely to have as we soaked under the greenery and stars. Room was spacious and comfortable. Lighting is a little on the dark, cozy warm light style so if you're into bright spaces, this took a little getting used to but it matched the room style for sure. Location of resort was perfect as we could access whole Railay Bay easily from our room. Breakfast was okay, could be heaps better if had more choices. My husband and I didn't try hotel food as we used breakfast as an indicator and felt the food we could get outside were far better and fraction of the price. Resort staff were helpful, friendly and ever welcoming whenever we went to them with questions. The ride from airport to resort was also amazing. We used resort transport so that we didn't have to worry about anything and definitely will do so again next time. Ps. Be careful of monkeys. Although I must admit I enjoyed watching them from inside as they explored the exterior of our cottage. 😂

Best hotel in Railay Beach and that's indubitably. 👌 We were staying in the first villa with our own private pool but even though we were right in front of the hotel pool and the beach the villa was very private. Only the monkeys would come to check on us for more food. The staff were very friendly from the moment we check-in to the moment we checked-out. They helped us checking-out very early in the morning and had breakfast bagged for us. Our villa had free mini-fridge loaded every single morning for free. Every morning we woke up to a wonderful breakfast by this beautiful beach. It's the place to stay in Railay for sure.

Paid £30 a night for an excellent room overlooking Railay East. To the negative reviews... I had a great experience here, perfect location and pool, great service. Didn't eat anything other than breakfast, why you would I don't understand, there are great and much cheaper restaurants 5 mins away. For the breakfast, it has the standard choice of western and Thai options and varies day by day.

Would give more stars if I could, had such a great experience at this hotel. From the moment we arrived we felt the warm welcome from the attentive staff, the cold drink and wet towel was a delight in the hot afternoon. The staff were super helpful and friendly throughout our stay, the setting was beautiful and close to the boats and restaurants/cafes but still felt private. Breakfast buffet was plentiful and tasty, be wary of the occasional monkey stealing your toast! The back pool was lovely and quiet, would recommend going there as we had it to ourselves at times. The hotel also offers a transfer back to Krabi airport which I would recommend as it’s very convenient and smooth. Would definitely stay here again!

One of the best place in the Railay west beach. Excellent property with excellent nature orientation. It’s just beside the sea beach. And the place is actually away from city so one can enjoy the peace over here in the middle of the ocean. Best suitable for family or for honeymoon couple. It’s a great property with variety of rooms to choose from. It has all the required amenities and facilities. Best part of the property is its lagoon swimming pool beside the sea. One can spend the whole day by the pool side with a drink. Rooms are very comfortable and important is it’s planning, in night it’s feel like we are staying in the middle of the jungle 😀😀 It also has very good kitchen as food is very good fresh and delicious. Staffs are very well trained and very polite. This was my second visit to this place. Am surely going back to this again in future. And last and the most you can find a seven eleven store and an ATM in the premises only. That’s a nice touch.

This is not a 4 star hotel! Maybe it was 15-20 years ago when last big renovation happened, but definitely not today. Another big letdown is the cleanliness standarts - the bathroom appliances were with limescale, glass with old fingerprints, dust on rarely used items. If you do the same mistake as we did, don’t trust the photos on booking sites. They are not the reality today. The location of course is beautiful, but that’s all. You are very isolated there and with this hotel’s ambience that’s not a positive thing. Highlight is the monkeys jumping from a tree to a tree and even waking you up in the morning. 😅🐒

tl/dr: would not recommend and will not return, the hotel has a nice enough vibe but for the price is too cheaply done. For us, this hotel was okay at best. The positives are for sure the location, the sunset view and the proximity to a nice street with a couple of restaurants. The breakfast is okay and from our few interactions, the staff are friendly. However, I do not consider this a 4-star hotel. The rooms we stayed in looked wonderful in the pictures but turned out to be very cheaply done. None of the doors close properly and all of them have large gaps between, above and under them. The bathroom is worse than in most hostels, is hot and stinks. The towels had holes in them and the bed creaked with every movement. The pool is tiny compared to the size of the "resort" and the small number of lounge chairs are mostly reserved by 8:00. The reception staff were nice but their English made communication a bit difficult. Suffice to say we spent very little time in the hotel and will not return.

Breakfast was a hit. Buffet style. Lots of variety. Pools very clean. Location right on the beach, beautiful location to watch the sunsets. We stayed in a jacuzzi villa. It was a nice room, big, comfy bed. Housekeeping did a great job cleaning every day (clean sheets every day, new towels, and complimentary water stocked) The spa is very expensive compared to other places along the main strip. I also would recommend going off the resort to purchase shuttles to the airport, and things such as kayaks as the hotel charges double (or even triple) for some services. A few complaints I had: -the bathroom bin for garbage has no liner in it so when you throw away your TP, it’s going into a bin that stinks from other people before you, due to not enough sanitary bags supplied. Without the air conditioning running 24/7, the bathroom heats up and makes that garbage bin smell so foul. We attempted to put it outside but the monkeys tried to break into it multiple times. -Other guests would get up early and block off all the nice chairs at the main pool with towels/shoes and walk away for the day. If the main pool is where you want to be, I suggest being up early. -Our private Jacuzzi outside didn’t warm up, even when left full and in the sun all day but that’s minor. It was refreshing to jump into. -Monkeys are adorable, but they do make lots of noise, especially in the morning jumping around on the tin roof.

Great location but all of the resorts here are a bit dated. People are not as friendly as in other places in Thailand. They also asked us to move while having breakfast and started cutting down a tree next to all the eating people. Not what we expected for 65 euro per night... Room are nicely big but need an upgrade. Best to skip Railay beach and just go there for 1 day.

  • 3/5 Em M. 1 year ago on Google
The hotel is really nice but nowhere near my expectations judging by the photos when booking! The photos and description is misleading, it’s not a 4/5 star hotel but a 3 star at best. It’s quite old and the jacuzzi isn’t very luxurious as it looks like it was built 40 years ago and heavily stained but the room is nice. Great location close to the beach, it has a very jungle like theme which is nice but the place could do with being updated and cleaned properly. The breakfast buffet is very underwhelming as a vegetarian, offering only limited and bland dishes and virtually zero protein options. On one occasion I put what was labelled “vegetable fried rice” on my plate to then find chunks of chicken in it. Disgusting and unacceptable. The reception and valet staff are friendly and nice but service in the restaurant could be more efficient and in other areas of the hotel, for example: don’t remove the hired beach towels from our room that we have had to collect and sign out without our permission and then refuse to replace them. We ate dinner in the restaurant one night also and despite the high prices, it was definitely the worst place we ate.

Perfect location with magnificent sun set. Rooms spacious clean and easy accessible. Restaurant on the beach so that you can admire great view. All this in green surrounding. Simply magical place

The villa was amazing. Big, comfortably bed. Clean and cleaned daily. Nice and clean bathroom. Complimentary water/coffee/tea in the room. Amazing location. Nice swimming pools. Jacuzzi needs some maintenance. Barely got some bubbles. But that's a minor inconvenience. The 3 stars because they stuck in the middle-ages... Forcing you to let them write down your full credit card details? Even when all stay is confirmed and paid with credit card via booking.com? Thanks Revolut for single-use virtual cards. Wrote it down and scrapped immediately.

Right on the beach with amazing views of railay beach and mountains. Staff all very friendly even going as far as to get the kitchen to cook vegan fried rice and pad see Ew for me for breakfast. You need to request this though, otherwise you'll eat bread and jam. The rooms are mostly clean, be careful in the bathroom of the floor is uneven and can be dangerous. Also there was only hot water out of the rainfall shower, not the handheld one in our room. However, safe to store things, flip flops, umbrella and gown provided. Felt safe in the hotel, most premium hotel on the Railay west beach I would say. Any activities, food, or day trips I would recommend you check other places including the Railay main street as everything is cheaper there.
