Certainly not a 5* resort, but a solid 3* option if you go in with the right expectations. Rooms are a good size and fairly clean. Service is good, although services a bit limited. Breakfast is average but good enough to fill you in the morning. Location is great, at the west end of Walking Street. 2 decent swimming pools. One thing to note, which no one seems to mention, is that the hotel provides free parking on the mainland (if you have you own vehicle), and a cheaper 50baht transfer for its guests. Half the price of the public longtails. And this includes getting pulled along by tractor (see photo)

This place is a scam!!! Online they promise a beautiful infinity pool, a vast array of restaurants and an excellent breakfast. Nowhere online or on Agoda or Booking does this “resort and spa” mention that they are currently under major renovation! It was a mission to first find the reception. Upon arrival we were told matter of factly that the infinity pool and all restaurants and breakfast were closed. We would have to make do with the 2nd pool and have breakfast on the other side of the peninsula in another resort (10-15min walk). I usually do not have a problem with this if we are informed adequately beforehand, but we only found out about this during check in. Had we known otherwise, we definitely would’ve chosen another resort or expected a better discount. Furthermore the whole resort was run down. The “Garden view” was a view into a backyard dump with rubbish lying across the garden and a horrible stench every time we went onto the balcony. The 2nd pool was ok, the gym laughable and we couldn’t even find the spa. Only nice things about the resort were the staff and room. The breakfast in the other resort was great. Upon check out we were told to wait 5min so that they could still check the room, possibly to make sure we hadn’t damaged anything. Definitely do not come here!

This is the more affordable option compared to the sister resort on Railay West. However, I was pleasantly surprised. This resort faces the east side which is quieter. it is less than 5 minute walk to shops and restaurants, and to the west beach. It has two large pools and daily maid service. The air conditioned gym is small but always empty. The breakfast buffet is large and most will be able to find a hearty breakfast. There is no fresh juice (only powdered mix juice) and not many protein options for vegans, but I was still able to eat the fresh fruit, breads, pancakes, and porridge. The coffee and tea are basic, but there are espresso drinks available for additional charge. At high tide the water comes up to the dining room, and there is a wonderful breeze making it an ideal spot for breakfast. If i returned, i would ask the shuttle to stop at 7 eleven convenient store and purchase large water bottles. There is no water cooler here, and the 2 complimentary bottles provided is not enough. There are many places to buy water but it is more expensive here. The other thing I would do different is allow the hotel to arrange the shuttle and ferry. it ended up being the same price to arrange myself, a private shuttle for 4 persons and a private boat.

Stayed here for 3 nights when in Railay and was pleasantly surprised, given the mixed reviews. Firstly, everything is open. Both swimming pools and the on site restaurant we’re in service. The pools and pool areas are well kept and the restaurant had just enough options on the breakfast buffet. The room was very nice and we were in the treetops on the 3rd floor on the main building. Taking off a star due to the noise outside (though the noisy aircon in the room drowned it out!) and the smell of sewage in our room, and our friends room next door. The noise - or smell - didn’t affect my sleep though some people may not feel the same. The hotel is located about 10 steps from the main East pier so super convenient. Would definitely stay here again as everything else about our stay was great.

The place looked amazing and we were greeted with a warm welcome. However when you first walk to the rooms there is a horrible stench which will have you gagging, I’m not sure if it’s the pond of sewers but it makes you feel sick. The room is really nice super spacious but you will probably struggle to get any sleep due to how noisy it is. The walls are paper thin and kept us up every night. Moving onto food, I got really ill since staying here so had no energy to go out so we thought we’d eat at the hotel. How bad can hotel food be.. awful it’s absolutely awful . The chicken is just a mixture of god knows what and the fish tasted like it had gone off. Both of us were unable to eat our meals. Thought maybe a one off. Second time I thought I’d go for something really simple being a pizza. Which was uncooked and ended up getting food poisoning from it so spent the whole night throwing up. Moving onto breakfast . No variety at all, flies all over it . I ended up having toast for breakfast every day which is not what you expect for a 4 star hotel. Finally some clothing of mine was taken from our room (not by the monkeys as room was always locked) , it stated on there board that they will cover any loss or damage of your belongings up to 5000 bat. When I asked them the were extremely rude, laughing and said that they don’t stick to there policy and it doesn’t mean anything . AVOID THIS HOTEL !!

Overall a memorable experience at this hotel. Initially, I was given a room in the old building with no view so I asked to be moved to a higher floor and they accomodated my request. I was moved to the 3rd floor which had an mountain view. The hotel is reasonably priced and location was perfect.

Terrible customer service. Hotel did not advertise that 3/4 of the stuff there was closed. All that is open as of Oct. 27 is the secondary pool. God forbid don’t get any dirt on the towel. They will refuse to clean it and charge you 1,000+ for replacing. Even through the island is soaking wet and how else are you supposed to clean yourself? Avoid this place, go anywhere else.

Pros: 1. Good value for price. 2. Awesome rooftop infinity pool - catch sunrise and moon rise, mountain view 3. Awesome 2nd pool by their pond 4. Decent choices of ala carte food in the restaurant 5. Friendly and helpful staff 6. The grand deluxe room facing the pool was an amazing room: size, bath tub, view, bed size. 7. Location: near port, quieter side of Railay, many food options, own mini mart and ATM. For improvement but not deal breakers: 1. AC is old so a bit loud and no remote. 2. Toilet takes a couple of tries to completely flush. 3. Asking to send credit card details via unsecure email (for booking private transfers). 4. Some parts of the facilities are old and needs some touch ups. 5. Gym has no AC. 6. Breakfast buffet can be better but not too bad.

While the hotel is in a wonderful location there are several aspects of the stay that we were both very unhappy about. On arrival we had lunch and I was surprised and disappointed with the pineapple rice I ordered. 3 small pieces of chicken in the whole dish. Very disappointing of experiencing far better throughout Thailand for the last 2 weeks. More unfortunately was the breakfast service. Or I should say absolute lack of service. We waited for an hour to be served and then they got the meal Completely wrong. We ended up leaving unfed. Spoke with the responsible person at breakfast service and got no satisfaction. I will not stay here again. And strongly recommend a pass on this establishment. One last point was the door of effluent in the rooms and around the hotel. Not pleasant. Will not be recommending to friends.

Had a lovely time staying at this hotel in Railay Beach. It’s right next to the floating pier, which was great for getting on and off the ferry. The check in staff were very professional and helpful, and the breakfast was always great. The room’s air con was strong and cold, which was fantastic! The sun beds at the pool get filled up very quickly so go early if you want to stay by the pool all day.

Breakfast is fantastic, the rooms are good. However the pool rooftop is not very well taken care of, the toilets were absolutely DISGUSTING and within the check in stuff there is one man who is diligent and competent while the ladies did not speak English well and had a hard time keeping up with the clients. The price is very good for a 4 stars hotel. If they fixed the pool and bathrooms it would be awesome.

We booked grand deluxe double room in sunset wing and promised Garden view. Rooms are clean and nice but view is absolutely not worth it. First room that we got…we saw just our neighbours living room and second time after complaining it was little bit better. But still huge disappointment. Restaurant doesn’t sell alcohol and alcohol drinks at all…we ordered steak and salmon steak waited for the order almost one hour and the food wasn’t warm enough and without side dish.

We stayed in this hotel for 9 nights. We took both grand deluxe and deluxe rooms. The difference is only in furniture I guess. Grand deluxe has it more. The bathrooms are ok, but as for me needs a little renovation. Sometimes it was unpleasant smell coming out from toilet. Service/Staff is wonderful, I do appreciate their help and openness to every request. Breakfasts were almost the same every day. But we were not hungry:) Location is perfect.

Staff is overall very helpful and polite despite many of them are passive and speak very poor english. The restaurant is spacious and comfortable and the menu food is generally good. Wifi is stable. The room was nothing like the ones in the pictures. It was actually very disappointing and uncomfortable. In the website the rooms are warm, bright and modern - don't believe in that. The bathroom was the worst part. Dark (again), a leaking sink and very poor shower. The shower head was all clogged and we had no hot water for two days. After many complaints, we had lukewarm water with minimal water pressure. Despite a couple of emails and speaking to the front desk, nothing changed. We were traveling with two kids and the shower time was really unpleasant. The hotel overall is alright but the rooms need lots of love and care. There are plenty of hotels in the area with similar price range and I would recommend to stay somewhere else.

We booked 2 nights at this hotel. On the first night, we noticed that there was no hot water in our room, we called the front desk and they said the heater was broken. The next morning I had to explain the whole situation again. And the only option they gave us was to check out and find another hotel by ourselves. We were going on a tour by that time so we had no choice but to stay for another night because they said if we checked out when we came back from the tour they'd have to charge the second night. This could have been solved by just transferring us to another hotel with hot water. It's not a cheap hotel and it has been raining all day outside. Avoid it!

The hotel is very well located, you can reach all Railay attractions from the hotel. The room is spacious and has good A/C. However we found several things that we did not like, the rooftop pool was closed for two full days to prepare the Valentine’s Day dinner; the drinks at breakfast were terrible: super artificial juices and undrinkable coffee. If you want a decent coffee you need to pay for it. The umbrellas in the pool are in really bad shape and the floor is super slippery. But the worst is that none of the staff speaks basic English to communicate, we found this a bit hard specially when asking about food ingredients. We would not recommend it. Price-quality is not good.

We had a nice 2-night stay at Railay Princess Resort. The rooms were big with garden view. It smelled a little bit moldy. The pools were smaller than it is shown in the pictures. There was no open poolbar, so you had to take care of your drinks yourself. The breakfast was ok, nothing special. The staff was friendly. We saw a lot of monkeys in and around the hotel. The hotel is a 5-minutes walk away from the walking street and 10-minutes walk away from the beautiful Phranang beach.

Fantastic location (just in front of the pier). The room where we stayed was quite spacious & clean, it also had an attached balcony. Washroom was quite big (had bathtub). The hotel has a nice & well maintained garden area. View from the primary swimming pool is amazing. Secondary swimming pool was in renovation. Did not use the inhouse restaurant, so no info about the food. Stationary shop & atm located nearby.

We really enjoyed our stay! Friendly staff and comfortable room. But BEWARE of the laundry service. Everywhere in Thailand you pay per kilo so we did not pay attention when we gave them our bag of laundry (less than 2 kilos) but in Railay Princess Resort they charge per piece!!! We ended up paying over €50 for only 5 t-shirts and 9 underwear. I felt ripped off completely. Not such a nice ending of our stay.

Great value for money resort. The location on railay East is away from the prime beaches. But the rooms were clean and comfy. Everything worked. It was clear that recent renovations were done and it shows in a positive way. Pools were both functional and clean. Spa was clean and massage was good. The gym equipment though sparse was all in working order, some resistance bands and kettle weights would have been nice additions. Food at the restaurant was good, except the mango sticky rice which was amazing! Honestly one of the best I have ever had.

We really enjoyed the room. Very nice with a terrace overlooking a pond. The service on the other hand was very bad. When we had dinner in the restaurant the women rolled her eyes at us and ignored us when we tried to get contact. They have absolutely no knowledge of food here, so expect your steak to be well done no matter what you order. The location is okey, you have to walk a little to get to the other side of the beach, but still a good location. The pool is great! Could be a little colder, it was pretty warm. There is also monkeys around the hotel, so take care with that.

An average hotel, clean spacious rooms, seafront location in front of the peer. Breakfast is mediocre and reception is a bit indifferent and messy. Small request they better answer no to, than to really make an effort.

  • 4/5 Gino H. 1 year ago on Google
Great location, nice rooms. Currently renovation, so some of the facilities are closed. You’re offered to have breakfast at the another resort at the other (better) beach, which is good. Recommended to use their pool tool, actually much better located. Monkeys at the balcony included!

  • 5/5 Hoper N. 2 years ago on Google
The service is very good but be careful of the monkeys coming in for food or greetings inside. Breakfast is available, but should improve on the taste, most of it will be salty. In the clean room, the air conditioner is cool, there are many amenities, the atmosphere must be very good in the morning, the boat is not heard.

I enjoyed my stay here so far. The price I got was reasonable and considered very cheap if compared to other hotels. The room was acceptable, not so new but comfortable. The bed is a little bit hard for me though. Breakfast is not buffet. They serve you as a breakfast set instead. There were 3-4 meal sets available. Overall for breakfast is okay. Hotel is located in Railay East. If you want to go to Railay West, It’s just walking distance.

  • 3/5 Maria N. 2 years ago on Google
It was ok. Beds not so comfortable (as most in Thailand...very hard). Staff not so flexible. My son who got foodpoisoning still had to pay for the compulsory christmas dinner. Also my daughter who is vegan and have very few options to choose from considering the extremely high price. I have never really understood how it can be possible to force guests to eat...It has happened a few times, and it never feels right. I doubt I would stay here again.

We loved staying here, they have 2 pools and the rooms are spacious and clean even though they are a bit outdated! Overall they had friendly staff and good service! I would recommend it !

  • 2/5 Sven S. 2 years ago on Google
The hotel is too expensive for what it offers especially in comparison to other hotels in Thailand. The staff at the reception was friendly and there was nothing absolutely unacceptable but nevertheless many things were not great: - The room was not clean enough (see pictures). Especially, the area in the bathroom below the sink was extremely dirty and the floor had missing tiles. - The room was too dark. There is only one real light in the entrance area of the room which is not nearly bright enough when it is dark outside. We later saw that in the advertising shots of the room the hotel uses two desk lamps pointed at the ceiling. We even tried to recreate the picture but due to the weight distribution of the lamps that is not even possible without further hassle. In my opinion that's a joke - just get some real lights please. - There are not enough WiFi access points and the connection is dropped all the time. For some of our devices the login portal also did not work without manually defining the devices' IP address. - The safe in our room did not work properly. You can define a custom code but instead of the numbers you press it registers different ones (only for some numbers while others work as expected). Overall I think the room we got is in dire need of a renovation and not worth the price we paid.

My first impressions, this ist very turĂstic. But then i remember on COVID time, this is the closest to normal environment you can get. This country is awesome, make the best of it. And happy 2022.

The rooms are okay... just not really hot water. The breakfast isn't good and Flys go on the fruits.

  • 4/5 Amy S. 3 years ago on Google
Staff at the reception were very good, as were housekeeping and maintenance - very friendly and and welcoming. The hotel is a really great choice for Railay; good sized rooms, lovely pool, great location and they offer a transfer service for a small extra fee. Although I understand completely it is covid times, we were not told in advance that the hotel was not doing breakfast and that we would have to go to their sister hotel, about a 7 minute walk away. The breakfast we did receive at the other hotel was the same every day: white bread, fried egg, fried rice, chicken sausage and one fruit. I do think there were enough guests to warrant a little more choice (it was reasonably busy). On our last day, the hotel brought out an order menu but insisted we pay more for that as we were not guests at that location. We refused and were reluctantly allowed some pancakes. Staff in the restaurant were pretty rude and obnoxious throughout our stay. Overall, I would stay again but check in advance what the breakfast situation is and opt out of it is in the sister hotel.

We really loved this hotel! It’s situated in the best location, just next to the pier, and yet not far from the railay beach with just a street away. The hotel room is nice and clean with a garden view for all those tropical trees ! Monkeys did visit our balcony during one of our stays! There’s no enough lamps in the room so at night it’s quite dark, the only drawback I would say. In regards of public service, swimming pools are quite nice but seemed a bit dirty. There’s a small workout room but the air-conditioning was broken and we asked them everyday to fix it, they always said yes but nothing happened. Pity for such service. Breakfast was okay. Overall I would recommend this hotel !

Enjoyed our stay, water replenished daily, tea coffee making facilities, towel rack, balcony overlooking garden and pond. Infinity pool with backdrop of majestic hills. Picture of pool on their website does not do justice for the place, needs replacing, it's not inviting enough. Breakfast was good for this type of accommodation. Location is great with jaw dropping caves and trees engulfing the rocks and the beautiful beaches. Do explore the whole coast.. everywhere is so photogenic!

Where do I Start... The words Spa and Resort shouldn't be used in this hotel because there ist nothing Relaxing here. When we Arrived at the Hotel it wasn't really welcoming, and the path to the Reception is very narrow and it stunks. At the front desk a stuff member took care of our luggage even thought my girlfriend told him multiple times that she want to do it her self, but he wouldn't listen or didn't understand. As we entered the room the guy just walked around the room and did nothing and wouldn't leave until we gave him a tipp. (I worked at a hotel myself and this kind of beehavior is just unexpected especially when you krone yourself as a 3 to 4 star Resort). Big Big minus Point here. The room was equipped moderately, nothing spacial and for 40 € a night way way to overpriced. The body of water in front of our room stunks really bad and make the Balcony useless. The entire room was lit by only one light at the entrance. (Really Really bad and uncomfortable Light) The breakfast is a Class of it self for being not good!! As a Vegen your only option is to eat either water melons or pineapple. The coffee was bad and if you want a Latte or Cappuccino you have to pay extra even when you payed for breakfast. (I personally did not enjoy the breakfast, and we have to grab it somewhere else) The Property Promote it self as if they are on the beach but you can not swim at this side of the island. Due to a error at our next stay in Bangkok we had to take a Domestic Call, we kindly asked the Receptionist if we can use there phone for 5 minute, and they told us that we have to pay 15 Bhat Per Minute!! What ??? And the checkout, was normal it was quick but really not much, they did not even say anything like "Bye" its was just an "ok you can go now". hahaha The Island its self was ok there is just one small street where all the shops and restaurants are, some are good other are bad.

Absolutely amazing resort. My room overlooked a koi pond. And i saw some sort of large lizard , or crocodile swimming in it. Great view of the mountains out the back. There are large koi is a sort of moat around the restaurant. ATM and mini mart onsite. Great pool and facilities. Decent WiFi for Railay. Railay has monkeys as well, which visited. It is 2mins off the pier, and 6mins walk from a self service washer machine place 7kg for 50baht. 10mins to the main beach. As it's on the other side of the island. 5mins to some really fun bars and places to eat. Room was spotless and lovely. Only problem was it was a bit dark in the room, they provide 2 lamps, but as a remote worker, I looked quite shady on camera. A bit more light in the rooms would be great. There is international TV, including BBC world. Was so cheap at ÂŁ22/night for a twin room. Amazing value. 2 bottles of water daily. good breakfast, quite casual, plenty of condiments. They weren't too fussy about entry at times, I managed to sneak out a mound of toast and fruit to the front during checkout, as we were planning it move on. I prefer that attitude 5/5 would stay again.

The room in the hotel was ok but that's about it. The main swimming pool was only half full and out of use which meant that the alternative small pool was overcrowded and without sufficient loungers. The grounds of the hotel were a little run down and the other facilities at the hotel weren't of an acceptable quality. This hotel shares a restaurant with another hotel so breakfast involves a walk to an overcrowded breakfast room that isn't sufficient to comfortably accommodate both sets of clients. Very disappointed and my least favourite of my three hotels in Railay.

I was there 3 years ago. And I must it has lost a bit in quality. Especially the breakfast which was a joke. For the rest, some rooms still have a wonderful view. Oh and stop playing that ugly piano chill music (one track looped endlessly) in the restaurant. It gets your customers nervous.

Worst hotel we’ve been in Thailand so far. Basically the whole complex is under construction, so you do not get any of the facilites that they promise. We checked in when dark and no one walked us to the room, being this one at the far end of the resort which has barely no light. The room is as old my the dinosaurs, it has no light, the door doesn’t have a proper lock, the bathroom is ugly (you can pass that), but the shower doesn’t have any pressure on it, taking a shower is a disgrace. At last, but not least, the breakfast the offer is ridiculous, they never tell you that you actually have to cross to the other side of “town” in order to have breakfast. You might book this place thinking on the facilities you might have if you check-in in a resort in front the beach line, but you should definitely take any other resort in Railay Beach. Finally, the check out process is just plain stupid, when you check-in they will write down your card details just in case they had to charge you anything (never seen that before, should have denied) but when you are checking-out they make you wait for 10 minutes until someone from the resort checks that the room is fine, no sense. I will definitely only recommend this resort to my enemies.

  • 1/5 Juhee K. 1 year ago on Google
This hotel is currently under major construction - e.g. restaurant was closed, breakfast offered at another resort (over-crowded), elevators not working, one of the swimming pools closed, hot water not hot enough, front desk was bare and empty, short-staffed (though they are working hard doing their best), ect. Room was spacious and clean but lights were dim. One good thing was their longtail shuttle boat which runs three times a day at 50 THB - it saved a lot of hassle from the boatmen. Not recommended until its renovation work is done.

A bit smelly in the room, very humid, but I don’t think you can avoid it in rain season. Breakfast ok, no fresh coffee, 100bat for an espresso is overpriced even for railay.
