This place is stunning and the service is excellent. Recommend booking through their website or their luxury travel rewards program for various perks you get upgrades, early check in and included transport. Do not skimp on the transport this place needs a boat to arrive. They are literally waiting for you at airport will take your bags and you do nothing but relax as soon as you land. They take care of all the logistics and transport its honestly 5 star just on that. The resort is stunning, has beautiful landscape, amenities, and location. Food is amazing and the grotto dinner experience is a must do. I would 100 percent return to this place. Tips: They provide you with a list of resort activities, dont wait and plan and book them, they have to be booked a day in advance. I wish I would have known this and booked more activities. This is not a place where you should skimp on transport. They have a flawless system and trust them, it is worth the extra money for them to take care of everything from the airport to your door you will be stunned with how get the logistics are taken care of so you can focus on relaxing and enjoying this stunning location.

I recently had the opportunity to stay at the Rayavadee Hotel, and while the property itself is beautiful, I am disappointed with the level of service and attention to guest safety that I experienced during my stay. One particular incident that left me quite dissatisfied occurred when I was stung by a jellyfish today. What disappointed me the most was that the hotel staff did not provide any warning about the potential dangers of entering the sea if it rained on the same day. It turns out that when it rains, jellyfish tend to flow towards the shore with the waves. Had I been informed about this, I would have been more cautious. However, when I ran out of the sea after being stung, the staff seemed indifferent. The person in charge had her back turned to us and did not offer any assistance until I mentioned multiple times that I needed to see a doctor. In my opinion, when a guest is running and screaming out of the sea in distress, the staff should immediately inquire about their well-being and offer prompt assistance. Eventually, they took me to the nurse, who provided me with gentle, well-attended care. I appreciated her calm demeanor and professionalism. It's evident that the importance of safety is prioritized in such situations. However, I believe that the hotel should have warned me about the potential risks before I entered the sea. Later, when the staff escorted us to our room, I informed them that we had a spa reservation for the day and wanted to cancel it due to my condition. I expected them to take care of this matter promptly. However, to my dismay, I was simply told to call the spa and update them myself. Considering the pain I was in, I found this response to be quite unsatisfactory. Overall, my experience at Rayavadee Hotel was marred by the lack of attention to guest safety and inadequate service. While the nurse's care was commendable, the hotel should have provided clear warnings about potential dangers and should have been more proactive in assisting guests during emergencies. Additionally, the staff's response to my request to cancel the spa reservation was disappointing, given the circumstances. In conclusion, I cannot recommend this hotel based on my personal experience.

Probably the most stunning resort I have stayed at. The grounds are magical; I enjoyed wandering around every morning and evening looking at the trees and flowers, watching for birds and critters. The accommodations are beautiful; I was happy with the location of mine tucked away from high-traffic areas, but there were some (for example, near the pool or close to the main walkways) where I would not have enjoyed as much. Ask for an “out of the way” room if that would bother you. Excellent and friendly service, from the groundskeepers and beach attendants to the spa and restaurants. There was a diverse selection of meals and restaurants. Some meals I wish were available as half portions; lots of things seemed designed for two or for sharing. I appreciated the selection of teas in the room and the fresh and dried fruit offered daily. Wonderful amenities offered in the bathroom (of note: shampoo AND CONDITIONER, razor and shaving cream, and mosquito repellent). The arrival and departure could use a little improvement. They say it takes “10 minutes” to get from the airport to the dock, but it’s closer to 20 minutes. Then the “10 minute” wait at the dock turned into 30 minutes because we had to wait for others to arrive from the airport. The boat ride to the resort was about 15-20 minutes; once we arrived at the resort, there was no space for the boat to pull in, so it was another 15 minutes of trying to rearrange boats so we could squeeze in. Solo travelers: This is a wonderful location if you’re traveling solo. The beaches can be accessed by the public, although there are security guards who keep non-hotel-guests from accessing the resort property from the public beach. I never felt unsafe. The resort does not offer a solo-friendly room rate.; it’s the same whether you are one person or two, so my rate included round trip airport transfers for two people, breakfast for two people, etc.

We spent a weekend relaxing at Rayavadee and we had a truly amazing experience. The hotel is local in a truly exclusive setup surrounded by nature and beautiful beaches. The staff is extremely friendly and always available to help. The rooms are gorgeous and we had a great private swimming pool in our villa that was the perfect place to relax after exploring the surroundings or kayaking to snorkle. A true 5 star experience in a scenic area. Hope to be back soon

I have a career that has lead to a lot of nights in hotels. I’m an ambassador elite with Marriott and have their programs lifetime status. I also have lifetime Diamond Status with Hilton. I’ve stay at both brands 5 star resorts and premium hotels. I’ve also had plenty of vacations at Four Seasons. The Rayavadee is the best resort I’ve ever stayed at. Completely blown away from the experience. I can’t even compare the service, location, hospitality, and amenities with the hotel brands I have status with.

By far one of the best hotel experiences we ever had! The staff is wonderful, the gardens are amazingly well kept, the wildlife is amazing, the rooms are magical, the boutique is very well curated, the food rocks! You can really feel the love to detail everywhere!! Also, we immensely appreciated the generosity of the hotel: there is always complimentary drinking water, there are always enough towels, you don't have to pay extra to borrow a kayak. Once you check in, it is almost like paradise! I hope we'll be able to come back one day!

Highlight of our honeymoon! Absolutely incredible setting. You feel like you're living in the jungle. All staff were incredibly friendly. Breakfast was amazing. It didn't feel busy by the pool. Pick up was very smooth. I'm not a fan of monkeys so was a bit worried about this but at the hotel it was just the dusky leaf monkeys which were adorable and very peaceful. Highly recommend!!

The most perfect place for a lot of years of travelling. Huge green territory with monkeys, squirrels, monitor lizards, birds, butterflies, fish, botanical routes for flora lovers. Large two-store bungalows (that's standard choice) surrounded with jungle and rocks. Very clean, very natural, fantastic client service with good English. For example, we were off with diapers, and they brought a pack from mainland. A lot of real attention like ice-cream, fruits, peanuts, water - when other hotels charge you for everything, here they just give these small things. Breakfast with tremendous a la carte choice is another guilty pleasure here. Very nice spa and a lot of activities. And all these enjoyments are added to three white beaches, one for sunrise, two for sunset, and of them perfect clean. Ideal place for kids, families, honeymooners

The actual grounds of the hotel is stunning. I’ve never seen anything like it. It felt like your very own small jungle paradise. The service was excellent and made us feel attended to at all times. The food was better than expected. We also did an excursion with Todd who is magnificent! The excursion was to James Bond island and Hong island — although pricer than others it was worth it for the personal care and attention. The lunch provided and boat ride was phenomenal. Unfortunately, the only downside was that on our last two nights we found ants on the bed. It was addressed and somewhat understandable being that the resort is basically in the jungle.

Absolute heaven. An amazing hotel in a truly unique location. This property needs to be experienced. Giant limestone cliffs wrap the dense tropical jungle which is fringed with the most exquisite beaches you could imagine. It’s the stuff of dreams.

Sawadee kah! My wife and I stayed at Rayavadee mid February 2023 and had an absolutely amazing time! This resort is massive and is mainly made up of small 2 level bungalows (some with private pools) that have a living/relax room on the ground floor and bedroom on the 2nd floor (with the largest bed I've ever slept in...though the mattress is fairly FIRM). The rooms are definitely one of the highlights of staying here, a very unique "hotel room" where you literally feel like you are in a tree house on Gilligan's island. The grounds of this hotel are massive and immaculate, with 3 beaches, 3 restaurants, a large pool, and a breakfast area that is 2nd to none. You are literally sitting basically in the middle of a jungle, being served a wonderful breakfast that has anything you could want. The jungle vibes are real here, we saw monkeys/colorful birds every morning above us during breakfast, or simply walking down to the pool/restaurant in the evening. (Surprisingly friendly monkeys that kept to themselves!) Definitely book a evening at "The grotto" for their twilight dinner, you get to sit next to the beach in a private "cave" and watch the sun go down as you feast on delicious food (tomahawk steak was perfect!). We also really enjoyed our dinner at the Raitalay Terrace restaurant as again, we were seated right by the beach and watched the sun go down with very delicious Asian inspired dishes. The service here is absolutely perfect. From the check-in process ( shout out to our host Luna!) to the pool-side waiters, the people here are super friendly and attentive. We always had a full drink/ small snack/ beach towel/ you name it/ etc. We always try and order room service on our resort stays, just to see how it goes and here at Rayavadee they nailed it. We ordered something off the normal "in-room menu" without any issues whatsoever, and the food/drinks arrived within 20 minutes or so super hot and delicious! Like a well oiled machine, they have an excellent system/process setup and it really shows in the execution. One thing to keep in mind, this resort is definitely on the higher end when it comes to price point (5+ stars), and there are several other hotels on the island that are not... so if you leave the resort you will experience a whole mixed bag of other travelers enjoying Thailand. Just walking from the resort to the Railay west, you will encounter many back-packers, smoke shops, and bars catering to a more raw demographic. We had no issues with any of this during our stay, just something to realize since Railay is a fairly small beach/island and there are other resorts besides Rayavadee here. We didn't use any of the resort activities as we had booked other excursions (Phi Phi / Hong island / etc.) through other providers since the resort offering were absolutely on the high end in terms of price, however given how this resort is run I am 100% sure you get what you pay for as everything we experienced at the resort was incredible and on point. I would absolutely recommend this resort to anyone visiting or staying overnight on Railay, and would definitely love to return!

Excellent resort with the best service. Gorgeous location in between the cliffs and the beaches. Staff is very friendly. Breakfast outstanding. Dinner at Grotto was really good, Thai restaurant was ok but not outstanding. Pavilions are well equipped with very comfortable furniture; the enormous size of the bed is something I had never seen before. Swimming pool is large and has great view. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. We did half day snorkelling tour and cooking class; both were absolutely great. Spa was nice with excellent choice of treatments.

Hospitality, quality, amenities, all was perfect. Once you get here, nothing is worried about. All staff is friendly and speak English fluently. If you get tired to work, cart should be ready to go anywhere you want. Swimming beach, sit and relax at restaurant, bar and lounge. You do what you want to do. There are cute monkeys, unique birds and fishes to enjoy watching. Wish to stay at least couple days to satisfy this hotel

Beautiful resort in Krabi, with 3 beaches connect ed to the resort. A lot of activities you can do around the resort; rock climbing, canoe, paddle board. Room and service was excellent, the resort could have been an easy 5 stars. However, during my stay there was a water leaking from the toilet into the living room. The staffs were quick to come and clean the floor, but they couldn't fix the leakage. So it was quite annoying that every night I have to call the staff to come and clean the wet floor.

It’s an incredible insertion into the jungle! Very relaxing and walkable space, full of vegetation and wildlife. Rooms are very comfortable and well integrated. Good breakfast and spa ( here you can have both good and bad ). Too much air conditioning everywhere ( the difference between outside and inside is insanely big ). Thai restaurant is really good but no on the day when the chef is off. Incredible food at buffets night thai and Grotto.

Best resort I have ever been. Facilities and service are outstanding. Two stunning beaches just 2 min walk away. The accommodation consists of a luxurious two-story pavilion immersed in a forest-like environment. Great breakfast and restaurants.

Great location, amenities, property conditions, breakfast. Only service from some staffs were not professional. Lots of monkeys and other animals around. Rich in nature of beach and caves. Though the rooms are not very new, they are in good condition with free cookies daily. For breakfast, would recommend ordering Thai food more than international ones or desserts. Free round-trip from airport with van and their own speed boats.

We arrived in the morning and was so pleased that we were allowed to checked into the room. Service quality was excellence but the best of this trip was that the environment surrounding the hotel was so outstanding!! Kids were very happy about it. This hotel is highly visited!!!

It's simple: it's paradise! There is no default to this place. The staff is amazing, the attention to details in everything (services, bungalows, food, etc..) is top notch. Having your own little house on the middle of the jungle surrounded with animals (monkeys, toucans, monitor lizards, etc....), but still enjoying the luxury of a five stars hotel is absolutely wonderful. The only bad point is the awful noise of the dozens of long-tail boats coming and going in one of the beaches. But I guess the hotel can't do much against it.

  • 5/5 Carl H. 5 months ago on Google
Wow wow 🤩 We have travelled extensively in recent years but nothing compares to this slice of paradise. From the moment you arrive you are made to feel welcome and at home . The hotel is faultless in every way and the attention to detail is unmissable from the accommodation to the food and to all the staff that make this hotel work in every way. Special thanks to Luna and Eakky for going above and beyond. We will be back ❤️

Facilities are aged but still nice. Spa was very good and 3 beaches nearby are superb. Service by any staffs was fine. Food was underwhelming both in the hotel restaurants and in town. Probably not coming back for that reason.

Amazing stay, this is the the top resort in Thailand for both location, staff and great facilities. Highly recommended for everyone to try Rayavadee. The GM K. Chumpol is a nice guy and very attentive to guests concerns. We were welcomed by K. Suzy who also did a great job.

Tranquil, nature-friendly resort situated in a secluded, vast, lush forest. It’s truly a unique experience. The resort is kids-friendly and great for couples alike. You have a direct access to Phranang and Railay beach which is convenient. It’s hard to go outside the resort to eat or casually explore since the resort is only accessible by boat. But you have a quite variety of food choices at the resort and they are all delicious! The room feels outdated but is clean and tidy. It fits the surrounding and ambiance of this resort. Hotel staff was generally very friendly and accommodating. They are very attentive to detail— you will always have cold ice cubes, fruits and water refilled in your room, they hung all the clothes I got back from laundry.. etc. But the communication was hard maybe because some didn’t seem to understand/ speak English well or they just weren’t communicating well internally. We had several incidents where we had miscommunication issues (ie. Room service staff not understanding “lemonade” or “drink menu” / Informing us that breakfast is not included upon check in with our booking but telling us that it actually was during check out / Transportation out wasn’t booked although we asked for it during check in). But overall it was a pleasant stay.

I had the pleasure of staying at Rayavadee Resort in Krabi during my visit on May 13, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience. This exceptional resort exceeded my expectations in every aspect, making it a true paradise on earth. What truly sets Rayavadee Resort apart is its serene and peaceful ambiance. Surrounded by lush greenery and towering limestone cliffs, this sanctuary offers a much-needed respite from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The calmness and serenity of the resort created an idyllic atmosphere, allowing us to unwind and recharge in the lap of nature. It was the perfect place to escape from the world and find inner peace. One of the highlights of our stay was the unforgettable dining experience at Grotto, the restaurant located beneath the cliffs. The setting was simply magical, with a picturesque view of the ocean and the cliffs towering above us. The delectable cuisine served at Grotto left us craving for more. The combination of impeccable service, delectable food, and a breathtaking ambiance made every meal a memorable event. I cannot recommend Rayavadee Resort enough for those seeking a tranquil and luxurious getaway. Its accessibility to multiple beaches, serene ambiance, and exceptional dining experience at Grotto are just a few of the reasons why I fell in love with this resort. From the moment we arrived until our departure, every aspect of our stay was simply perfect. Thank you, Rayavadee Resort, for an unforgettable experience. I am already dreaming of my next visit to this slice of paradise in Krabi.

If I had to describe my experience with one word, it would have to be ‘Amazing!’ From the staff to the rooms, from the beach to the restaurants, everything was just perfect! I will definitely be coming back and recommending to all my family and friends! It is also very easy to access from Krabi Airport as they provide free transfer if you book directly through the hotel.

Great place , not easy to get to it Because they did not answer the phone number on agoda and there was no directions. Service is good and everyone is really nice, however We were not able to do any of the things that we booked the place for, everything needed a prior reservation for up to 3 days ( we only booked 2 nights) even the things that did not need reservations like the kayak needed prior booking And at the morning of our check out we did not eat our breakfast that we paid for because the boat was waiting and the employee kept telling us that we were late and there is no time , even though the delay was caused by the golf cart

Food is good Vegetarian options available, A lot of tourists were at the beach, so if you have a private villa at the beach you should expect a lot of backpackers and families having a good time outside your villa. The attention of the staff was very good Except at the beach restaurant. A little bit slow and they never showed up. You need to get up and call them. The most beautiful thing is that you find monkeys all around, you really feel in the jungle. Air conditioning was perfect. And the room was very clean.

Hands down, best hotel I have stayed at in many years… And I have travelled the world and have stayed at very well known hotels. This hotel was truly like heaven - the setting, the cabins (aka the little houses you sleep in with two stories, a living room, bedroom, and two bathrooms - which is your “room”), the grounds (incredible nature, super well maintained and clean), the huuuuuuge pool, the attentive & helpful staff and services, the super high quality food, and the overall feeling you are constantly taken care of, seen and pampered! There is truly nothing I could say I would like to see changed in this truly one of a kind resort! thank you Suzy for all your help and assistance- you are a gem!

Railay feels like a fairytale rather than a real place and this is the hotel to match. The scenery is otherworldly and the rooms are absolutely spectacular: luxurious, private, brilliantly designed. Loved all of our time there. I do want to mention that despite the remote location it is easy to get into town for meals. Breakfast is included at Rayavadee and is great. Other meals are very expensive by Thai standards. We were a little apprehensive, but other food options are only a 5-10 minute walk away and really not a hassle.

A truly fantastic place. The service is phenomenal, and the resort offers an incredible oasis in a location otherwise crowded with a lot of people. It's very cozy to stay in a jungle environment with monkeys and other exotic animals, while also having access to two fantastic beaches and excellent restaurants. I can truly recommend this place!
