Horrible experience - we paid for the most expensive room in the hotel but had 2 LARGE COCKROACHES in our room. We killed one ourselves - see picture. Additionally the sink was broken. Extremely disappointing considering the price; beware!

This is one of the best hotels i visited. And i have high standards from the Nordics. 1. Very clean ( most important ) 2. Great beds. 3. Room is big and nice. 4. Nice staff. 5. Amazing location central and still quiet. The reception is a bit hidden, you have to go up the car ramp to get to it. I visited some other nerby hotels just to check the rooms and this hotel beats them all. Love it!

Stayed here with my bigger family. Booked a total of 5 rooms for 3 nights. I got myself the room with direct pool access and didn’t regret it for one bit. Check in was ok as it was a group and would totally understand but despite that the staff handled it efficiently. Room service was fast and tasty. The hotel is strategically located nearby restaurants and beach . Within the hotel itself there’s a travel agency that could arrange boat trips to nearby islands. Breakfast was quite a spread and I thought it was amazing for a hotel this size. Would gladly come here again.

Really friendly staff. The rooms are big enough and very modern. Bathrooms are nice. Bed is absolutely huge. There is a little balcony to sit and relax. The gym is very good with modern machines. Breakfast is worth the extra. Location is about 600m from beach but it's an easy walk past little shops and restaurants. We are going to spend an extra night. Ao Nang is a tourist spot but it's small and still with some cheap Thai meals that my Thai gf says are very good. For me so much better than Phuket. But it's not a party town. But there are plenty of bars.

We booked a private trip to hong island on a long tail boat with this company. It was nothing but a blast! From booking and negotiating the price to service provided indeed! Kob was really helpful and she booked us a fair trip! Our drivers (shuttle and the boat also) were really kind and they arrived in time. The boat driver was very kind and took us where we wanted at any time of the trip. I do recommend!

It was the great place for family, kids and friends to stay together. The room is so wide and the space management is very well done. What I like the most is twin beds with 5 feet size, you barely find it in any other hotels. When you sleep well, it is a real heaven, you won't miss your bed anymore. The cleanliness and services are great. The staffs willingly help you throughout your holiday. The location is great, I don't like to stay in the middle of community. It is too loud. So this is the perfect location. The pool is nice with the night lights under the water. I really recommend anyone who is looking for the best hotel in Krabi Aonang.

Unique place with great people! Clean rooms, delicious breakfast, smiling staff. Hotel in a great, quiet location, close to very good restaurants. For us it was an amazing 9 day stay. If we ever come back to Thailand, we will definitely stay at this hotel again ❤

We’ve been here for 3 days. Upon arrival the desktop staff was really great, they tried to give us a warm welcoming. The hotel was really nice, indeed they made us an upgrade of the room with views to the beach. The amenities are clean and really neat. Breakfast is recommended, is an international one and you can skip just for one the Thai food haha. Moreover, we had an accident by motorbike and they were really lovely and helpful. We recommend this hotel by far.

During our stay in Thailand in Bangkok, Phuket, Phi Phi & Krabi, this hotel was the best. The location is ideal, with only a 10 minute walk from the beach. The room is very spacious, and of high quality as well. The bathroom is perfect: spacious, and toilet and shower were in separate cabins, creating a clean & organized atmosphere. Staff is helpful and very friendly. The bed was very comfortable as well, so we got plenty of rest over here.

Pros:Very spacious room, big bed, equipped with everything you need and even extra things. Balcony overlooking the forest, we enjoyed the peace. Varied breakfast. The pool is big enough. Cons: I don't understand how you can say that you have 4 stars and the common areas are not taken care of at all. Weak light bulbs in the room, I think so that you don't see the dirt and dust on certain areas, as well as the stains on the linen that was changed daily, but it smells good for nothing if it is not washed properly. A bit inconvenient as breakfast was in the first building, there is a ramp that you have to go up and down every time you leave the hotel.

Excellent hotel with helpful and friendly staff. Rooms are great with comfortable beds and everything was nice and clean. Breakfast is varied and delicious. The pool is also a great place to relax. Location is great, near beaches with beautiful sunsets 😊

My experience in Sugar Marina Cliffhanger was nothing but incredible. Rooms, food, service, they were all splendid. I can't comply about anything, even if I wanted to. Not only is the hotel great, but the staff is extraordinary as well. Special thanks to the staff members responsible for sending me the sunglasses I left in my room while hurrying for the airport!

Location is really convenient - near the main street and aonang beach, with lots of cafes and convenience stores and massage parlours down the street. the room with cliff view was great. The balcony area was great for chilling out, and getting some sunlight in the morning. Very thoughtful of the hotel to provide umbrellas and the picnic mat for those wanting to hit the beaches! Highly recommended. Value for money accomm. There's a pool too but didn't visit it during my stay there.

Good experience, hotel easy access to food, bar abd shopping. Service was good. As for rooms, I find the room dark... should put more lights. Should upgrade the ironing board as we received 1 which cannot stand at all, till we have to fold the board and put on top of a chair to iron.

Room prices are high compared to other hotels of the same standard. Reception not helpful, was difficult to find the other building as there are 2 buildings. Noisy next to the main beach road at night. Room looking tired, needs a revamp. Water pressure in shower on and off and not that hot. Breakfast fairly standard, omelette was great. Manager notified of our impressions. Won't book again, will look for others if we return to Ao Nang.

Ms. Nui from Reception and Ron the driver were so kind to us! We were in a 10 people group and arrived later than expected but they were still so understanding and managed to arrange our groups' bedrooms in the same floor and next to each other! The rooms were modern, clean and had a great view! The location is also great, close to a lot of restaurants which made the experience even better! Overall a great experience to the entire group ❤️

Sugar Marnia hotel was a great place to stay! Short walk to the beach. Lovely hotel room with a big bed. Lovely pool. Breakfast was delightful and had a bit of everything. Also, housekeeping were amazing keeping our rooms spotless and for my partner's birthday Tar Nut and Dee Pon created a beautiful birthday display of elephants on the bed with towels and flowers! What a wonderful treat to come back to after being out in the sun 🌞 Thank you so much for the thoughtful touches ❤️

A great location with easy access to halal eateries and nearby convenience stores can definitely enhance the overall hotel experience. It's excellent that there are also massage shops nearby for added convenience and relaxation. The reception lady, Nui is friendly and accommodating. She upgraded our room with a nice view of the mountain. We had a great stay at Sugar Marina. Will definitely stay here again when we’re back in Krabi!

Supremely located with good crowd and good facilities. New hotel with good quality rooms and nice complimentary breakfast. Go for it for an affordable yet premium stay.

Came here for my girlfriends birthday weekend. It did not disappoint , staff so helpful , friendly & attentive. The room was facing the road / cliff , well appointed room with balcony , nice shower room and bed , robes and flip flops provided as well as beach towels & mat . Breakfast - was a fabulous choice & spread every morning . Cold / hot options . My contact Nui was so so good 😊, also a word to the other receptions staff & cleaning maids who do a great job every day , Ta & Nat made beautiful bed decorations every day but especially on the Saturday, my girlfriends birthday 🎂🥳 .. also a small chocolate cake was provided .. restaurants, massage shops , bars all nearby. Beach 10-15 minutes walking , recommended 🙏

The room was nice and the receptionists were very helpful. The breakfast was not bad but if you paid the full price you might feel that there wasn’t much to choose from. The daily cleaning service however was very late for our room to be cleaned. The receptionists told us they worked until 4 pm and at 4pm. our room still hadn’t been cleaned. Most days, what they did was emptied the bin, replaced the water and made the beds but they didn’t clean the floor or the sink. After the whole day at the beach, we came back and the room still hadn’t been cleaned.

The Sugar Marina Resort-Cliffhanger is a great place to stay if you like climbing up and down to get to and from your room for breakfast as the dining area is in a completely separate building to that you stay in. There is no room service or assistance with your baggage so you must lug them up and down a steep hill depending on where you stay. Would not recommend it to anyone with back, knee or respiratory issues.

One of the best hotel/resort we’ve been to in our Thailand trip and I’m comparing with other 5 star hotels too. Service is quick, location is very central. Views are amazing. Showers are super tall. For the price, definitely worth it.

Stylish hotel with all amenities you find at a 5-star hotel at a fraction of price. Extremely comfy 2 queen-size beds in a room which can accommodate a family of 4 easily! Great ABF buffet with varieties of food. The room was super clean and my kid loves the pool access room sooooo much. Will definitely stay here again for the future Krabi trip 👍🏻

I don't think this hotel is a 4 star.. a bit expensive for the price! The room is okay and the bed is very big and comfortable. The breakfast is 350 THB and the buffet is very poor!! We took the breakfast the first day and the other days we went next to the hotel for traditional breakfast for cheaper and taste was better.. The walking distance is about 10 15 mins to Ao nang beach which is not bad! Don't think I will come back

Room are spacious and comfortable. Suitable for family with kids. Pool just in front our room. Walking distance to get Muslim restaurant for breakfast.

Really good rooms and very comfortable. Big bathroom and plenty of space Recomended. Near many tourist information shops (including laundry) Has gym (it is ok) and a swimming pool (i think paying an access fee) Breakfast really good!!!! (Not always included) Location: 10min walk to the beach. But it is ok!

Recommended guys...the room facilities is superb. Reception girl well spoken and understand in English. The location of the hotel also very strategic especially for Muslims because halal restaurant is just right in front of the hotel

Great hotel - rock climbing themed. Super clean! Provides shampoo and shower gel (no toothbrush though) Downside: to get to the lobby you have to go up a slightly steep slope (not easy with a wheel suitcase) Also when it was thundering and pouring at night the wifi was out.

The hotel was nice and nicely decorated, but with a poor light in the bathroom. All the personnel polite and attentive (they listened to our request and changed the room since we were promised a pool view and at arrival they give us one with street view). The rooms were cleaned and refiled every day, but this I would say it should be normal for the price we paid. King size bed. Distance to the beach - 10 min.

Just had a 3 day break at Marina and it was disappointing...we are frequent visitors to Ao Nang but our first time here,much better and cheaper options nearby sadly. Four ladies on reception and we got the one who could not be bothered to smile or welcome us (my girlfriend is Thai) we were given a breakfast menu with just 3 choices and when I asked about cereals/yoghurt we were told..rather bluntly...no extras. Room was nice and a decent size, the bed the most comfortable we have ever slept in but no storage space for clothes except for a small hanging rail...no drawers...who designed these rooms? Swimming pool is surrounded by wooden decking which is in a very poor state plus the pool has no childrens section and is difficult to enter for a small person....definately not child friendly or suitable for families.

We had a really good stay at this hotel, one of the ones you are a bit apprehensive of leaving to go onto the next destination! The staff are really friendly throughout the hotel and very helpful. Our room was amazingly clean, apart from after the lady was getting ready to go out 😁. Top marks for the cleaners, really done well. All the facilities are great and in good order. The hotel is renovated to a great modern industrial standard within the communal areas, very on point. The only issue I had was the breakfast, I don't tend to eat Western food choices at breakfast and was somewhat dismayed at the choice of Asian foods. Compared with similarly priced hotels, it lacked a bit of choice that's all. Aside from that, it was still a great stay and I would happily return again.

It's very simple: for this price you cannot find anything better in this area. Nothing to complain, just wonderful.
