Lovely to talk to close generation living descendants and residents of this mansion. The blend of Chinese and European is quite unique and well worth a visit for those curious on some of Phuket’s architecture and history. 150THB each to enter. You can browse at your leisure or speak to the family for a tour of the Ground Floor.

You get to experience the sino-portuguese architecture and culture. The owner is very welcoming and friendly. He gave us a tour of the house and told us about the history of his family, local traditions and answered all of our questions. He advised about local cuisine and places to visit in Phuket and all his recommendations were amazing! Thank you!

The mansion built in 1903 in the Sino-colonial style . Entry fees is 200 Baht , which was collected by a house keeper who spoke no English and no ticket was issued . Only major history buff or architecture students will enjoy . Not for casual tourist. You are given a small sheet of paper with useless information. The house is small but well maintained. Only ground floor is accessible. But most of the tour you are left guessing as to what and why the things are. A guided tour or explanatory text would help. Almost no one spoke English and i was not sure what was included in the ticket and what was now . They were laying out things to eat by the time i came out . I has no clue if that was for visitors or the staff was preparing for snacks for themselves.

Dao is not only a very talented artist, she is an absolute sweetheart and such a delight to spend time with. We met three years ago and again on my most recent visit. Her creativity has only grown as she continues to explore new mediums and designs. She has created an atmosphere that is welcoming and fun that makes you want to just hangout all night, every night. She also does henna tattoos and created an amazing octopus on my shoulder/arm. If you're looking to make a new local friend, wanting to find some beautiful artwork as a gift or to add to your own collection, stop by her shop. It's definitely worth the visit!

Looking for indoor activities on this rainy day in Phuket Museums, libraries, bookstores, etc. Stopped by for a quick look, the grounds are green, cleanand inviting. This museum tells the story of Phuket, from the beginning Chinese rulers... If this is your thing, 150 baht. Wish it included a guided tour. Would be much more worthwhile for foreigners.

We enjoyed this little museum and was impressed by the owner and his family history. The exceptional energy and calmness of this place surrounded us and followed the whole day. There are a lot of unique pieces of interior, dishes and clothes. Dont forget to use an anti mosquito spray before entering.

I visited Chinpracha House and Museum. It's a beautiful place. This 119 year old museum blends a mixture of both Chinese and European ancient life style. A well maintained mansion with a huge collection of historical items.

Pleasant experience with the family that owns this house. I don’t exactly remember his name but he’s the great grandson of the man who built this house. He greeted me when I was wandering around by myself in the house and offered me to explain the house and everything about it. Location wise, it’s not hidden but it requires a little good-eye to find the entry into the housing compound. Sorry, I don’t remembering exactly how much was the entry fee but I think it was around 150 THB. Just prepare some cash around that and 300 THB for one person, just to be safe.

100 year old house of influential Chinese family. Tour guide was the 5th generation owner himself. He spoke very good English and was very thorough in explaining history of his family, the property and the large variety of displayed family heirloom. Very much worth the 150 baht entrance fee and highly recommended.

Located along a small but we'll signed laneway is this old residence. When I visited it was free for some event which I did not fully know or understand. There are a small smattering of highly decorative rooms downstairs to view but it's not that large or impressive compared to similar houses found in Malaysia and other locations. More written explanation would be very appreciated in the future

I love this shop. The Art have it's own character and differ from other places in Krabi but also everywhere else. The paintings are truly unique. The quality and finishing are superb and definitely worth the money. Ordering a picture and sending overseas is also possible by the artist Dao, who is a really nice person, kind and proud of her art.

An amazingly well preserved example of Sino-Portuguese architecture, built in 1903. The interior of the house is set up similarly to how it was 100 or so years ago. Tan, the owner, will give you a free tour if he is around. Tan is a fifth generation Hokkien immigrant; his great-grandfather built it. It was very interesting to learn about the combination of Chinese, Portuguese/European, Thai and Malay influences on Phuket's architecture, furniture, clothing, food and culture, especially from a Thai-Hokkien perspective. Entry is 150 baht.

Also experience being able to see the local architecture. My friend and I were the only people there at the time and as we were walking around a sweet gentleman approached us and asked if we had any questions. He was the 5th generation owner of the house and had a wealth of knowledge about his family, local history, and all the unique items in this mansion. Great little side visit totally worth the entrance fee if you are into history or just seeing interesting things.

Everything is good and beautiful for an old house with full decoration like unique Phuket style that makes me think of my grandpa’s life. But they charge local people 100฿ and 100฿ more for my traditional clothes (Baba-Yaya). I think I give them honor and it will make the house more famous with our nice photos to share on social networks. Unfortunately, I was wrong!

Amazing interior, good selection of drinks and desserts. Here you can taste Local Phuket Khanom - a little piece of history and have a good time. Our hotel and guide book both recommended a visit to this historic mansion and it was certainly well worth the time. After we had been looking around the property for a short time on our own we were greeted by the 5th generation lady co-owner of the house who offered to give us a guided tour. She was so lovely and incredibly informative about the history, design and structure of the house, and related many fascinating pieces of information and explanations about objects, photos, and furnishings. She was a very engaging and entertaining guide and is clearly very proud of the wonderful heritage she is part of today. Do not miss this when you are in Phuket Old Town.

We were charged 150 THB per person for entry. Only the first floor of the house was for viewing. The interiors were ornately furnished and there were many antique knick knacks inside. But this museum falls short when compared to the Peranakan houses/museums in Penang and Melaka, due to a lack of display labels, explanatory brochure or tour to explain the culture and items on display. It's a nice place to see some pretty furniture/furnishings but don't expect to understand much about the Peranakan culture from a visit.
