Spending
four
hours
on
the
Dragon
Crest
trail
was
both
thrilling
and
challenging.
The
danger
added
an
extra
layer
of
excitement
to
the
experience,
making
it
a
fun
yet
demanding
adventure.
I
recommend
bringing
at
least
1
liter
of
water
per
person
before
embarking
on
the
trip,
as
staying
hydrated
is
crucial.
However,
those
not
in
good
physical
condition
should
think
twice
before
attempting
this
trail.
While
I
consider
myself
in
good
cardio
shape,
the
descent
presented
challenges
with
knee
pain
due
to
numerous
sit-ups
on
high
steps.
Proper
footwear
is
essential,
given
the
trail's
slippery
terrain
with
dirt,
roots,
and
clay
–
a
reminder
not
to
hike
with
slippers.
Be
cautious
during
rainy
weather,
as
it
might
extend
the
hike,
potentially
causing
you
to
return
after
sunset.
Arriving
before
the
2
pm
entrance
closure
is
vital,
ensuring
you
have
sufficient
time
to
complete
the
trail.
Although
drones
are
prohibited,
there
didn't
seem
to
be
any
security
at
the
top,
and
I
regretted
not
bringing
mine.
However,
carrying
a
heavy
drone
for
a
4-hour
hike
is
understandably
challenging.
On
a
negative
note,
the
200
baht
entrance
fee
left
me
questioning
its
value.
The
presence
of
plastic
bottles
and
the
condition
of
broken
stairs
and
shabby
ropes
raised
concerns
about
the
facilities'
maintenance.
Despite
these
drawbacks,
the
breathtaking
view
earns
the
trail
a
good
rating.
In
conclusion,
while
the
location
is
undeniably
beautiful,
potential
hikers
should
be
prepared
for
the
risks,
and
the
facilities
could
use
improvement
for
a
more
satisfying
overall
experience.
