I
am
usually
skeptical
when
it
comes
to
animal
tourism,
but
this
Elephant
Sanctuary
convinced
me
100%!
The
two
elephants
Honey
and
Pumpui
were
rescued
from
poor
posture
and
now
have
a
beautiful
home
where
they
can
roam
freely
and
are
treated
very
lovingly,
respectfully
and
in
a
manner
appropriate
to
the
species.
The
employees
are
wholeheartedly
involved
and
always
make
sure
that
the
elephants
feel
comfortable
and
are
not
forced
to
do
anything.
The
atmosphere
is
just
wonderful.
During
that
time
I
learned
a
lot
about
elephants,
as
there
is
an
introduction
to
the
elephants
and
the
sanctuary
with
a
cup
of
coffee
or
tea
and
lots
of
delicious
snacks.
Everything
is
very
personal
and
hospitable.
After
feeding
the
elephants
(with
self-prepared
feed),
they
first
go
into
a
mud
bath,
then
under
the
shower
and
then
into
a
beautiful
lake
where
you
can
scrub
the
elephants,
which
is
obviously
a
pleasure
for
them.
Basically,
however,
the
following
applies:
If
the
animals
do
not
feel
like
doing
something,
then
they
are
not
forced
to
do
anything!
You
can
see
the
satisfaction
of
the
elephants
and
the
passion
of
the
employees
is
contagious.
At
the
end,
after
a
shower
in
the
very
well-kept
facilities,
there
is
a
fresh
fruit
platter
and
a
drinking
coconut
for
each
guest
in
addition
to
the
always
available
snacks
(various
fruits,
cookies
and
other
little
things).
In
this
round
we
exchanged
our
experiences,
had
interesting
conversations
and
just
had
a
great
time
with
animal-loving
people.
All
with
a
view
of
the
satisfied
elephants,
who
now
have
some
time
for
themselves
again.
The
visit
to
the
Elephant
Sanctuary
Krabi
was
definitely
my
highlight
and
I
would
recommend
it
to
everyone
as
this
project
deserves
every
support
and
their
work
is
just
great.
Big
praise
!!
My
expectations
were
exceeded!
(Original)
Normalerweise
bin
ich
skeptisch,
wenn
es
um
Tiertourismus
geht
aber
dieses
Elephant
Sanctuary
hat
mich
zu
100%
überzeugt!
Die
beiden
Elefanten
Honey
und
Pumpui
wurden
aus
schlechter
Haltung
gerettet
und
haben
jetzt
ein
wunderschönes
zu
Hause,
in
dem
sie
frei
herumlaufen
können
und
sehr
liebevoll,
respektvoll
und
artgerecht
behandelt
werden.
Die
Mitarbeiter
sind
mit
vollem
Herzen
bei
der
Sache
und
achten
stets
darauf,
dass
sich
die
Elefanten
wohl
fühlen
und
zu
nichts
gezwungen
werden.
Die
Atmosphäre
ist
einfach
wunderbar.
In
der
Zeit
dort
habe
ich
viel
über
Elefanten
gelernt,
da
es
zu
Beginn
bei
einer
Tasse
Kaffee
oder
Tee
und
vielen
leckeren
Snacks
eine
Einführung
zu
den
Elefanten
und
dem
Sanctuary
gibt.
Alles
ist
sehr
persönlich
und
gastfreundlich.
Nach
dem
Füttern
der
Elefanten
(mit
selbst
zubereitetem
Futter)
geht
es
erst
in
ein
Schlammbad,
dann
unter
die
Dusche
und
anschließend
in
einen
schönen
See,
in
dem
man
die
Elefanten
schrubben
darf,
was
ihnen
sichtlich
Freude
bereitet.
Grundsätzlich
gilt
aber:
Sollten
die
Tiere
einmal
keine
Lust
auf
etwas
haben,
dann
werden
sie
zu
nichts
gezwungen!
Man
merkt
den
Elefanten
ihre
Zufriedenheit
an
und
auch
die
Passion
der
Mitarbeiter
ist
ansteckend.
Zum
Ende,
nach
einer
Dusche
in
den
sehr
gepflegten
Anlagen,
gibt
es
zusätzlich
zu
den
immer
zur
Verfügung
stehenden
Snacks
(verschiedene
Früchte,
Kekse
und
andere
Kleinigkeiten)
eine
frische
Obstplatte
und
eine
Trink-Kokosnuss
für
jeden
Gast.
In
dieser
Runde
haben
wir
uns
dann
über
unsere
Erfahrungen
ausgetauscht,
hatten
interessante
Gespräche
und
einfach
eine
tolle
Zeit
mit
tierliebenden
Menschen.
Das
alles
mit
Blick
auf
die
zufriedenen
Elefanten,
die
nun
wieder
etwas
Zeit
für
sich
alleine
haben.
Der
Besuch
im
Elephant
Sanctuary
Krabi
war
definitiv
mein
Highlight
und
ich
würde
es
jedem
Empfehlen,
da
dieses
Projekt
jede
Unterstützung
verdient
hat
und
deren
Arbeit
einfach
großartig
ist.
Ganz
großes
Lob!!
Meine
Erwartungen
wurden
übertroffen!
