Fast service but the waiters were rude and took the order in hurry. Veg food was average and quantity was less according to price There is a fixed quantity of food, no half or full. Food was average in terms of taste, nothing special. Place is overhyped due to the name and since it is on the highway, it’s standing otherwise wouldn’t.

Taste - 5/5 Portions - 5/5 Service - 5/5 Value for money - 5/5 (₹ 500/- for two) Serving amazing typical dhaba style north indian food in a well maintained restaurant, this place is on the national highway, dharampur. The place is hygienic & well maintained. The staff is courteous & quick with the service. Coming to the food - 1. Lemon chicken - 5/5 Undoubtedly, the best lemon chicken that I have ever had, the flavours of lemon and kasuri methi were so evidently delicious, the chicken was tender and well drenched with the spices. Each bite was slightly more delicious than the last one. 2. Dal makhani - 5/5 Typical dhaba style dal makhani, rich and creamy, loaded with butter and flavours that indian pallete craves for. Perfect place when the heart craves for some delectable north indian food dhaba style.

Total roadside dhabha, Desi ambience. The place is very busy so you have to be patient. Breakfast was amazing. We aloo pranatha and paneer pranatha while heading to shimla. I haven't eaten such a yummy paneer pranatha in a long time. Poori bhaji was dhaba style. While coming back from shimla , we had butter chicken. That was so delectable. Although keema naan was so average. Overall 4 stars

Waiters are arrogent. Not listening to customer for orders, no seating management, cleanliness can be managed better. Food and prices are average.

PEHCHAN KAUN???? 😂Both these dishes are different. One is mushroom masala and one is Kadhai paneer, No difference in taste either. Pathetic flavours. Giani da dhaba is just a name now. Better eat at some other establishment.

It used to be a landmark because of its quality but now everything is so changed. Waiters are pathetic, very arrogant. Very few options for breakfast. In those few items also waiter will ask you not to order this and that saying they will take time. Food is also not that great now. Sitting area is all messed up

A must have food joint on the way to Himachal. Sometimes travel plans are adjusted in such a way that a meal becomes a must have here. Great chicken curry dishes, with a dal and rotis are our all time favourite. But the best thing about the dhaba was this elderly aunty. She does all the calculations including taxes etc without the help of a calculator and she is always right. She is such a shy , kind hearted person that it's a joy to watch her prepare the perfect bill. Giani da dhaba will always be great 👍

First class food makes the place really busy, results into delays. We went there twice, while in Kasauli and again on the way back from Shimla to Noida. The best part is everything we ordered were stomach friendly. My elderly parents, our 5 year old kid along with my wife and me. We drove all the way home without slightest complaints due to the food. Highly recommended.

Good location on main road. Food is good. Tasty. But seating and general ambience needs lot of improvement. Cleanliness needs lots of improvement. Vegetarian dishes are highly priced. Non veg are good portions and reasonably priced.

Food quality and quantity was average, but there was zero hygine, washroom was disgustingly untidy, wash basin to wash hands was inside sitting area right next to people eating food, waiter was bringing chapatis in hands without plate or even gloves. Found restro to be quite untidy and without folowing any covid protocols. I would not recommend this place.

The restaurant is very basic, with nothing in the way of aesthetics. Basic tables and chairs, and the long counter along one wall is where the cashier sits. This is also where you can buy packaged items like bottled juices, flavoured milk, chips and other snacks. The food is primarily North Indian/Punjabi style, with the usual daals, vegetable dishes, parathas, and so on. We ordered a matter mushroom, a half portion of dry lemon chicken, plain naan and green salad. The food was okay, nothing out of the ordinary. While the lemon chicken tasted delicious, it had been overcooked so much, it was stringy and dry.

A great option for Lemon Chicken. One big con is the lack of management to deal with the rush during the peak lunch hours. The staff would ask you to go and grab a seat anywhere you can!

This Dhaba do not have a clean washroom, so only take a halt if you want a food average in taste.

  • 3/5 Simranjeet B. 10 months ago on Google
Went there to try their mutton but they said that good quality raw mutton is rarely available in market so they only prepare mutton occasionally, never heard such an excuse from guys who were famous for their mutton since so long. Ordered butter chicken and rara chicken it was not bad but nothing very special either, the keema that rara chicken's gravy has was hardly there... only thing i liked was there tandoori roti coz it was made of whole wheat and not maida. Rest its a very old dhaba and was very famous during our school and college days so because of that name that they made over years crowd is always there but the taste of food is no more the same.

  • 3/5 Tejvinder S. 11 months ago on Google
Too much hype but just like any other roadside restaurant. Went there on a recommendation from friends while on our way to the hills. During breakfast they only had one option of Aloo Parantha. Rest everything was not available. Food was also average and there was nothing great about it.

Overrated.. very limited menu.. needs to be more responsive.. more like a sarkari coffeehouse.. skewed ratio of popularity vs services & fare offered.. smelly washrooms

The Dhaba is located at a location which is not only easily approachable but also visible from a very far distance on highway. This Dhaba offers veg as well as Non vegetarian food options. All the main cousine are available there. Apart from breakfast, lunch and dinner This Dhaba offers many kind of delicious snacks like pakoras etc. This Dhaba is very good for families, couples as well as group of friends. This place is very much kids friendly as there is lot of ample space where kids can roam and entertain themselves. The owner is very polite and cooperative. As far as staff behaviour is concerned they are also providing service with smile. The pricing of this Dhaba is average not so expensive as compared to the quality and taste of food.

The dhaba is a main attraction in Dharampur. The quality of food is good, but it is on the costlier side. The taste of the food was good. It is a little bit away from Kasauli. It is on the place to Kasauli. We ordered a puri bhaji and it was good. Interestingly it was served with yoghurt which is very rare in Punjab, but possible in Haryana.

Very neat and clean services and commodities. Especially food was really fresh and kitchen was up to the mark. Also place is spacious, having peaceful environment. And most importantly they have very modest and polite staff including their owner.

Have been visiting this place for the past few years and the food has also been amazing here. The prices are genuine and staff behavior is also warm. Their new location is very spacious & convenient with ample parking space. Definitely recommended for some good Indian food.

Excellent roadside dhaba that is now more of a restaurant in Dharampur near Kasauli. The owner is still around and is actively involved in everything from cooking to serving customers. Food is freshly prepared, you can see the kitchen and your food being made.. Prices are reasonable and quantity moderate. Lemon chicken was excellent. Stays open from 9 am to 9 pm and unfortunately does not do deliveries even within town. If you're in Dharampur, highly recommended for fresh, tasty and reasonably priced food

Food quality is good but there menu seem to have some unreasonable rates for certain food items. Food served was piping hot and place is clean enough.

  • 4/5 Priyamvar S. 4 years ago on Google
Paratha was good. Ambience is very very average, but drive from chandigarh to this place wasnt. Prices are also reasonable.

This place is famous since ages. We had Chai and Pakode. Pakode were good. It was drizzling and so we all were craving for Chai but It didn't meet our expectations. The divine view from this Dhaba is all what we enjoyed. I m rating this place based on View more than the food.
