one of the prominent seat of Gaudiya Vaishnavism houses one amongst the 3 paduka used by Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, He stayed here for 3 days and was enchanted on listening Bhagavata path from Raghunath the then householder of this place and entitled him with the title of Bhagavatacharya. That palm leaf manuscript along with the paduka is worshipped here in the sanctum. Deities of Sri Chaitanya, Nityananda prabhu with Sri Radha Krishna and Jagannth-Balaram-Subhadra is worshipped here. The ashram is an abode of peace and tranquility and contains one of the largest collection of Vaishanva literature along with manuscripts, ink pens, collective items such as cloth, hand writting , signatures, shoes and walking sticks of various ascetics of different Sects of Hinduism. Amongst them are Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa, Swami Vivekananda, Srila Ramdas Babaji and many more to add on the list. Here remains the samadhi of the mortal coils left by Ramdas Babaji one of the most prominent acharyas of Gaudiya Vaishnava parampara. One can get coupon at the morning to have prasadam at noon.

This place is located near Banerjee Para or Jhulantala... Inside the temple, the temple divided into three parts... 1. Chaitanya and Nityananda, 2. Radha-Krishna, 3. Jagganath temple... It's a holy dham in North Kolkata. While Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu en route to Nilachal dham (Puri) he visited this spot and advised for nonstop bhajan. A place related to Shri Chaitanyadeva, Baranagar Pathbari, has its history dates back to almost 500 years. On his way to Puri, when Shri Chaitanyadeva was moving along the Ganges downstream from Panihati, a sweet reading of the Bhagavata entered his ears. In search for its origin, he obsered a brahmin in his tiny cottage reading the text, his cheeks flooding with ecstatic tears. Shri Chaitanya resided at the hut for three days, consulted philosophy with the brahmin, listened to his reading of Bhagavata, and rendered him the title of Shri Bhagavatacharya. The place boasts in keeping the wooden sandals of Chaitanyadeva. The place remained undiscovered for 200 years until a Vaishnavite Saint, Ramdas Babaji, rediscovered it and set up an Ashrama or Hermitage there. At his death bed, he had commanded his disciples to chant the holy names. Since then, for 24 hours round the clock, they have been chanting the sacred name of Hare Krishna Hare Rama. Apart from this temple the Ashrama also takes pride in its library, the largest of the Vaishnavite ones of the state. It boasts a collection of almost all the original manuscripts of Shri Chaitanya's first disciples, including Rup Goswami and Sanatan Goswami. Durga Puja is also celebrated every year with due respect and Puja regulations.
