I haven't experienced such a feeling while entering any temple, personally this is one of the best places to visit while you are completely down at life. The vibration that the lord creates is unmatchable.

Absolutely wonderful, iconic, historic Vinayagar Temple, not far from Trichy. We were lucky that it wasn't crowded the day we went. Crowd management is great and the staff are quite patient and helpful. Please take time to patiently see every nook and corner of the temple. One can see the Ganesh idol for hours.. He looks so beautiful!! But also beware the fortune-teller ladies. They will start off saying they don't want anything, but gradually will start asking for rewards in cash or kind. Thankfully a gentleman there made us aware and sent her away.

Loved the guided tour by one of the Trust Heads. Every part of the temple has a meaning to it. Dont miss the Shiva temple. The Ganesh painting that tracks you on all 180degrees is a must see. A very divine place. Got amazing pictures with the sun right above the gopuram.

I see the temple makes sure the people who run their life depending on the temple should have some good deeds too. Watch out for astrology ladies who try to mend money from you. Bful scenic theppa kulam. Over all good experience in visiting the temple ❤️ Divine god

The temple is dedicated to Karpaka Vinayakar (Ganesha). In the cave temple, there are rock cut images of Ganesha, Siva linga and another carving that has been variously identified as Ardhanarishwara or Harihara or the early king between them who built this temple.[2] All these are notable for their unusual iconography.[2] In late 19th-century, during restorative excavation and repair work, panchaloga statues were discovered. These are dated to the 11th-century.[1]

Appaney Pillayarappa!!!! This been second time I am visiting the temple, this year (2022). All because of his Grace. Rock cut cave temple with 6 feet tall Presiding Deity called Karpaga Vinayagar. Divine, Peaceful and very gud positive Vibes.!!!! The most important is that deity appears with 2 hands instead of 4 as seen elsehere.!!! Must Visit Temple with family. Temple is busy through out the week and lot of regular devotees. During normal days, I prefer General Que to have long sight at Deity. Enormous space for Car Parking. Stone Rings attached to the pillars, deserves a special note!!! Temple is well maintained and cleaned.! Water Pond is not opened to public.!! Opening Time : 06:00 - 13.00 & 16:00 to 20:30 Terminalia Arjuna : Marudham Tree.!!!

Karpaka Vinayaka Temple or Pillaiyarpatti Pillaiyar Temple is a 7th-century CE rock-cut cave shrine, significantly expanded over the later centuries. It is located in Pillayarpatti village in Tiruppathur Taluk, Sivaganga district in Tamil Nadu, India. The temple is dedicated to Karpaka Vinayakar. In the cave temple, there are rock cut images of Ganesha, Siva linga and another carving that has been variously identified as Ardhanarishwara or Harihara or the early king between them who built this temple. All these are notable for their unusual iconography. In late 19th-century, during restorative excavation and repair work, panchaloga statues were discovered. These are dated to the 11th-century. The temple has several inscriptions within the rock-cut shrines, as well as on the walls and mandapam outside. One of them mentions "Desi vinayakar" and also helps date the core layer of this temple to the 7th-century Ganesha. Another notable inscription in the sanctum is more archaic, sharing paleographic features of Tamil Brahmi and early Vatteluttu. This has led to proposals that portions of this Ganesha temple are likely older by a few centuries. Nice place to visit where lord Ganesh is being the main worshiping. as it is believed that ones wishes may come true with his blessings....

Magnificent temple of lord Ganesha. Stunning sculptures surround you, and you can't help but be awed by the sheer size of the temple. Though there was a crowd, we got ample time to pray to the idol, and there was no rushing unlike in other famous temples.n

Dating back to 7th Century, this is one of the oldest Vinayagar rock cut temples in lndia. Located in a quiet village, Pilliar petti, it's an important shrine for Hindus. It's a huge complex, well maintained with ample parking. We went early 6 AM, crowds were thin, temple and area was relatively clean. The temple has a great ambience and a calming effect to devotees. Reportedly, The Lord removes all difficulties of devotees. There are usual temple shops and veg hotel Annalakshmy, at the entrance. Ok and a shadow of it's HO at Karaikudi. We stayed in Karaikudi, 15 kms away, roads are good, G msps work fine.

Visited this unique Ganapathy temple for the first time and had a surreal experience. The main temple tower, corridor pillars, etc carry beautiful sculptures that are worth exploring. Some renovation works were on inside the temple and we hope that the old drawings on the roof of the corridors are restored too. We spent more than a couple of hours in and around the temple and could completely sink into the divine atmosphere. The views of temple towers especially from the temple-pond side are simply divine and eye-catching. Overall we had a great experience at this unique Ganapathy temple of the beautiful town, Pillayarpatti.

The temple itself brings you positive energy when you step in . It’s very crowed on the holidays season . There is a main entrance and there is side entrance . The side entrance is less crowded and there is no special entry ticket .

Fell in love with the Grand Pillaiyar and the temple with rural touch - reef roof entry. Marutha maram also a fascination. Authentic divine souvenirs from the shop near the temple and Chettinad baskets made the visit wholesome

Also famed as Pillayarpatti Karpaga Vinayakar temple. A very huge deity. One very very powerful Ganesha. Very compassionate and blessing giving Ganesha. Spend time in weekend will be around 2 hours. Temple trust quarters are available. AC rooms cost Rs. 850 only. 3 people can sleep well. Parking also not a problem. Not much pics added due to crowd.

Temple premises was very good. You can oftenly visit Yaazhi in pillars of the temple. Over 15 inscriptions are found within the temple, that help establish the age of the temple. Vinayagar Chathurthi festival during August-September is the main festival of the temple. It is celebrated for 10 days in a grand manner. Sankata Hara Chathurthy every month is also celebrated with a festival look. Unlike other places the three Lingams Thiruveesar, Marudhesar and Senchadeswarar and the three Goddess Sivagami amman, Vadamalar Mangaiamman and Soundara Nayagiamman all appear together at the same place and bless the devotees.

The had a very pleasing atmosphere. The cleanliness was adorable. Walkable from Bus Stop. Photography inside the temple was not allowed. Buy Bermuda Grass (arugampul) for Rs 20 or Rs 30 is enough. A must visit place. Nearest Spot Kundrakudi Murugan Temple & Kuberar Temple.

First time I went to this temple. I can see progress gradually in my life. This is an ancient rock-cut temple. Scholars say that Lord Vinayaga is the Lord of wisdom, As Vinayagar satisfies the wishes of his devotees like the Karpagam tree, he is also known as "Karpaga Vinayagar". Easy access and parking facilities are good. Well-maintained temple. No darshan charges, still in the hands of Nagarathar. Request the trust people to construct some more toilets and bathrooms. Rest all are good. May Lord Ganapathi bless all.

Temple is maintained properly. Newly constructed pillars and paintings in the ceilings are looking majestic, beautiful and marvellous. The line to see the pillayar is short and we can quickly see the dharisanam. The pond situated outside temple is decorated with lightings. many shops available with different toys, sculptures, food items. Parking is free and we can use the wider roadside space. Best time to temple is 4 to 5 and 6.15 to 7 in the eve.
