I got what I expected from a Spur. Food and service was great. Clean and well maintained. A great place in a dirty town.

Great value, nice family atmosphere. Attentive staff. Ribs and chicken schnitzel were a little tough, but had good flavour.

Only had coffee during a business meeting but manager was constantly there to check we were satisfied. Nice to see service like this

Nicely located on the corner with a view. Waiter was very friendly and welcome, kept checking on us every chance he got. All round good service. Will definitely pay them a visit again when I'm in town

I haven't been to a Spur for so long so when I was in Kroonstad we decided to have a working lunch there. The place is nice and it was quiet perfect for our working lunch Staff there were friendly and attentive. The disappointment came with their menu or rather special combos. All the combos had pork. I don't eat pork so it was very frustrating to find that not a single one catered for non pork eaters. What was even more disappointing I'd that I couldn't even swap the pork for another meat. I ended up choosing their t-bone steak and buffalo wings which I enjoyed. I enjoyed everything about the place except their specials and would like management to consider us meat loving non pork eaters in their specials.

Staff always Friendly and food still fab. After all these years. Would love more spicy food though.my favorite is chicken perignon starter! Keep it up guys

We had our first date here two and a half years ago and we loved coming back not only for nostalgic reasons; the staff are friendly and helpful. Everything was clean and tidy

We had a great experience and felt right at home, the manager, I forgot her name came over and brought a complimentary drink for my son because they made a mistake on this new item and made the one he ordered and finished drinking incorrectly, what a pleasant surprise. We were tourists visiting from USA, so Spur was new to us and was pretty interesting to see — maybe well intentioned imagery, but felt like time travel, strangely stuck in the past, like US places in the 1960’s. This location was “Tennessee” — huh, what? Native American imagery that became inappropriate years ago as the human mind has evolved — fascinating, wonder how many more years before management makes the scary switch to present day thinking? Maybe switch to a handsome hardworking single toothed barefoot “hillbilly” stereotype theme or the more fun and accurate “smart aleck American tourist” image / theme? Anyways, the staff here is excellent, hard working, welcoming — great to see people who love their job and do it well. The food was good and a good value. Ribs were tasty etc. Place was very busy, yet service was fast, hot food was hot, and it looked like all the customers were having a good time. Ultimately despite the great service and good food, we did not seek out another visit to any Spur because the Native American imagery, while not too offensive to us personally, was not something we cared to unnecessarily appear to support when there are so many great places to eat more local dishes in South Africa.

Compared to other Spur restaurants, The food portions are rediculously small. When we mentioned this we were given extra for no charge without protest making me think they know its a little small. Food quality is up to standard, but doubt we will visit this one again due to the small portion sizes. Service was up to standard.

The bathrooms need better maintenance, with regards to cleanliness, however the food and service was still Spur standard. Appreciate the additions to the play area for kids.

Neat and tidy. Very nice. Outside part-underroof play area with available seating for eating is great.

I would really like to express my satisfaction towards the service we received at Tennessee Spur, Kroonstad. It was my Dad's birthday, we where 14 adults and 9 kids. Tsidi was our waiter and I honestly must compliment her on her excellent work. She got everything correct and was fast. Not many waiters can do what she did yesterday. To top everything of, the food was fresh and tasty. Thanx Tennessee Spur Kroonstad, you surely did make my Dad's day special.

I enjoyed lunch with my mother. The ribs were nice and tender. My mother had the steak and enjoyed it it the mushroom sauce. We also enjoyed the delicious vegetables, spinach and pumpkin. For the drinks, we enjoyed the delicious rich mango juice. And on the side, we had a salad which we took for a takeaway.

Not great. I love Spur group, I have had great service and food, but on this particular night they got it all wrong .. Food was raw...

We are a sport mad country. This was during the currie cup final. Where the cheetahs were involved. During this time I was half way between Bloemfontein and kroonstad. A big hunger came over me. Press for time I phone the spur in advance. Booked a table and order their famous nachos. About 1km l, more or less, of the in N1 I found the place packed with white and orange cheetah supporters. Told the waiter I phoned in advance and thinking to myself their's no change in hell l would get a table. No problem my table was reserved and had hardly sad down and my food was ready. Still hot and fresh. That's what I call going the extra mile. So if you find yourself hungry and are on the N1 and close to Kroonstad. Try the Tennessee Spur. Won't be disappointed. Staff are friendly and you know your not in Gauteng anymore.

Best Spur I've been to. Simon is an excellent waiter. After a few visits I can only rate them on 5 stars

We had a great breakfast. 4 of us just enjoyed the food and coffee. Service was good. We had the usual. Unreal breakfast. Always good value for money.

Staff is friendly and on point. The playground has place out of the sun to play and inside. Food was great they gave us a real sunny side up egg things you don't always get. Clean and neat.

The food was of the normal high standard but service was slow. The place was not busy and I had to wait for my order to be taken. No visit from anyone to my table during my meal and then I had to call the waiter in order to settle the bill. I will visit again but only due to the limited choice of restaurants in Kroonstad.

The atmosphere wasn't nice at all ,so dull

This is the best Spur experience we have had in 20 years! We don't normally support franchises or restaurant chains, but given that there weren't many options for dinner and the general reviews were good, we took the chance and had a very positive experience. Well done to the owner, management and our waiter Simon, you did well and we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner

It was not what I expected I am very disappointed They didn't give us everything that we ordered we ordered buffalo combo they didn't give us the wings we only noticed when we got home

Went to Netcare Kroon to work for few days. Only place to realize that the only and best place to have a lekker meal is at Tennessee Spur..... NYC Warmth welcome, staff wow and the dishes tops..... . Highly Recommendable.

The food and service was awesome. Great steak, chips and crispy onion rings. Perfect lime milkshake to finish it off with. Manager came to check if all was up to standard. One of the best Spur's I have been to. Well done to all.
