Nobel is a excellent coach, I can honestly say I enjoy every single workout, well thought out exercises that flow nicely from one to the next in a nice bright and clean environment. Feel better and stronger after each one. I’d highly recommend Nobel to get you where you want to be in your fitness journey, whatever position you are starting from.

Very welcoming academy with great instruction and training partners, I train here every time I visit Brunei.

I discovered the refinery by fluke in August 2018. I had always wanted to try BJJ but never found a gym close by. After the first class i was hooked. Coach Nobel is extremely knowledgeable in the art and is a kind and patient teacher. His manner and attitude is reflected in all his students as well. Over the course of 5 years it was always a pleasure to roll at the gym with everyone there. I took my 3 children while the kids classes were still on and they enjoyed it as well. I am sad to be leaving this gym behind as I leave Brunei and hope to find a gym with a similar welcome atmosphere in my next location.

Fond memories of training here while living in Brunei. Coach Nobel is knowledgeable with a calm clear instruction style which all levels can benefit from. Everyone in the club was welcoming from day one. The kids program is also exceptional. I continue to follow this club’s progress and wish them the very best for their future.

Train here while I am working in Brunei, great gym with a fantastic coach. Some good classes for all levels with ladies and kids catered for as well. My favourite place to train as it held many memories throughout the start of my BJJ journey. I appreciate that they have a small space for me to perform my prayer and my request to have my socks on while in class. Cleaniness is definitely the top point in The Refinery. Another plus point would be the air-conditioner =). Keep it up!

Love it! The gym is clean and people there are lovely. I have made good friends with some of the members there. Coach Nobel and Coach Angel are awesome.

Nobel has help me strengthen my back after I had some back issues. I have really enjoyed the challenge that he has been able to give me without going to fast. He is easy to talk, always positive and gets the best out of our work outs. I would definitely recommend him to anyone that wants to improve there strength and fitness.

Nobel is excellent - a very likable guy who has your best interests at heart. The PT is challenging but not overly so. He makes sure the limits are pushed and ensure you are in control. I have enjoyed being at his PT sessions for over a year - and others in my peer group have also joined. Cost is very reasonable and Nobel is pretty flexible in his schedule.

This is a great gym to begin your jujitsu journey. I started my son at the children’s classes and was so impressed with coach Nobel’s manner and approach to the children that I decided to give it a go myself: so glad I did. The team at The Refinery are friendly, inclusive and committed to learning and that’s testament to the culture created by coach Nobel who is excellent. He really helps you navigate your BJJ training. Sad to be leaving The Refinery as we depart Brunei but so grateful for getting me started on my jujitsu journey.

Noble is the best personal trainer I have met. I have thoroughly enjoyed his classes which are conscientiously prepared. Noble listens and hears the requirements of his clients, makes the classes reasonably challenging with new exercises every 10 sessions preventing boredom. He relentlessly shows great support and gives undivided & detailed attention. His studio is light, spacious, clean and with state-of-the-art equipment. Within a year, my back is now stronger and pains have practically disappeared. The Refinery is THE place to go and Noble is THE PT to select in KB & Brunei!

While traveling in Brunei, I visited this gym for a day. I was a complete beginner, with a white belt. Gym member were very considerate and gentle. They warmly welcomed a first-time visitor like me. Respectful sparring sessions took place. I would like to say thank you to all the gym members who were there that day. It became a fond memory of my time in Brunei. I recommend this place for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioners traveling to Brunei.
