Belait
Town.
The
construction
of
this
mosque
was
in
1961
on
a
5-acre
site
and
was
completed
in
1963
at
a
cost
of
$500,000.00.
This
mosque
was
officially
opened
by
His
Majesty
Paduka
Seri
Baginda
Maulana
Al-Sultan
Sir
Muda
Ali
Saifuddien
Sa'adul
Khairi
Waddien
on
Friday,
18th
Jamadilawal,
1384
corresponding
to
25th
September,
1964.
Due
to
the
increasing
number
of
residents
and
pilgrims,
the
building
expansion
work
was
carried
out
in
1992
and
completed
the
following
year
at
a
total
cost
of
approximately
$2,600,000.00.
The
capacity
of
this
mosque
can
accommodate
2,000
pilgrims.
Among
the
facilities
available
in
this
mosque
are
a
multi-purpose
hall,
a
funeral
room,
a
library
room.
What

A
mosque
is
the
House
of
Allah
s.w.t.
where
only
He
is
worshipped
and
glorified
through
the
five
daily
prayers,
supplementary
(Sunnah)
prayers,
reciting
the
Quran,
Zikir
(remembrance
of
Allah
s.w.t.)
and
many
other
good
deeds.
