I MISS YOU SO MUCH PAPERPLANE! I miss everything about this hostel. Mika, Rafiq, Kak Aisyah, the cats, neighbourhood, mamak stall and all the guests that had been stay there. I had a very good moments working there for almost one year and a half. I love the good vibes that this hostel brought that can make me work in a nice environment. Mika also teach me a lot about the management and how to deal with the guests and any sudden issue or hitch. Also, by working here, I changed a lot especially regarding of cleanliness and goods arrangements. I hope Paper Plane Hostel can success more in the future because you are one of the best hostel in Malaysia! Keep it up!

Amazing hostel! I really enjoyed my time there. The cleanliness is great and the staff is really attentive and friendly. Its easy to find and has a nice quiet location. You can also enjoy a nice roof top terrace and lots of food and market places around it. It's safe and definitely good value for price.

It was nice lodge. Place is very comfortable and facilities are good. (Especially, kind staff and water purifier.) And you can buy beer, soft drinks at the front. Good price. I think, I have a chance to visit KL one more day, I would be stay here.

The hostel is approximately 5 minutes from a metro station and quite easy to find. The staff was welcoming us very friendly and we were able to check in quite early. Also, we had to leave in the middle of the night, which was again no problem at all as they have staff 24 hours. The hostel itself has 2 to 3 floors with two bathrooms, several dorms and a roof terrace. If you need they also offer laundry service, small β€œbreakfast” (oatmeal) and tea/coffee. We stayed in a 8 bed dorm. The beds are equipped with electricity, reading light, small shelf and for me personally the best part is a small curtain. The lockers were big enough to accommodate both backpacks, the big and small one. So all in all, we had everything we needed for a good price. Thus, I definitely recommend the place as a good value for price option.

The place is really neat and clean. I loved the way they have been working for helping the guests. The lady was coloring the maps with hands even though she didn't have the printer. They helped me out in suggesting a lot of places to go and all. If you're really looking for some cool place for staying. This is it.

Stayed for 2 nights in a single room. Room was comfortable. Hostel was clean and pleasant. Pretty chilled vibe amongst the residents. Kitchen was adequate and kept clean. Enough showers and facilities to go around. Some local restaurants down the road were a good find. A bonus for me was the resident kitties that were kept (in the front yard) of the hostel. They enjoy a scratch and pats, and makes the place feel homely. About 10 minutes walk from the monorail station. When I come back to KL, I'd most likely come back.

Been traveling to Malaysia for over 6 years so I can say without a doubt that Paper Plane is the best hostel in KL. Here is why: Always super clean - the bathrooms are checked constantly by staff. Always nice and cool inside (good air conditioning). The best location - It's in a quiet nook of KL that is also nearby to so many places (Jalan Alor, Bukit Bintang, Pavilion Mall, and VCR cafe is right around the corner). Staff are always excellent. Mika manages everything and is almost always there. She's great. Beds are very comfortable and sheets are nice. The rooftop are is also really nice for having a drink and looking out at the city. Wifi is always fast so you can do work or whatever. Also, Paper Plane is in a totally remodeled colonial era home which is really amazing and quaint. Stay at Paper Plane, you won't regret it.

Very cool, chilled and clean hostel. The decor was simple and modern. The toilets have funny stickers of dogs fouling on them. The staff were very friendly and gave us a lot of information but I wish they had told us about the free KL city bus, we only noticed the poster on our last night. We had a private room and the bed was very bed, comfortable and quiet. The whole hostel has a no-shoes policy so you have to take them off downstairs and they give you slippers to keep the floor clean.

I loved this hostel! Easy to meet other travelers but also nice and quiet at night. Cute cats and VERY clean hostel! Nearby some tasty restaurants (go to VCR!) and about a 15 min walk to Chinatown. The owners are SO nice!

Fantastic hostel - fun and wonderful friendly staff . Very clean and well kept: the decor is very cool and well designed too. Nice comfortable beds - showers are good and close to the centre and street food market! Mika is the best! I stay here every time I come to Kuala Lumpur

FANTASTIC hostel experience! There are private rooms available but we stayed in a four-bed dorm. Female-only ones available. Rooms and the shared washrooms/showers are very clean. There is a common area outside and a small but cozy lobby with couches inside (and a desktop computer should you need it!). Great place to meet other travellers :) Tea, coffee, and crackers are set out in the lobby every morning, and there is filtered water is available from a dispenser (free). Other drinks available for purchase. Extra towels and laundry at additional cost. Staff is friendly as well! The area is also very close to the food street (less than 5 min on foot). The place is tucked into a residential area, but there are actually quite a few restaurants/cafes with breakfast nearby - there's even a gin bar two doors down. It is some distance (15+ mins on foot) to the touristy Chinatown area and beyond, but it is definitely walkable. Enjoyable stay and would come back again!!!

Amazing hostel. They were so helpful when my bag got stolen, I have never encountered an amazing service like that. The staff (Mika) went with me to the police station to file a report and helped me even to get to the embassy and immigration to get a new travel document. I have rarely met such warm-heartedness and kindness from hostel/hotel staff, and it is a clean and great place to stay. If you want to feel like at home while far away from home, this is the place to go. Very open-minded and generous, warm-hearted staff is what makes this place truly special.

😠 There’s a portal between the dead and the alive in tower 3. Every night after 8pm i could hear woman screaming for help. When i come closer the door was shaking so hard that i run away. The room is facing the swimming pool. Could it be that some previous owner practiced black magic?
