Classic south indian restaurant - nothing to complain about the food - ambiance could be better! Adding photos from last visit!

Ajanta Cafe nearby railway station Belgaum, wonderful place for breakfast. Especially Idli is awesome, very soft and yummy. Sambar and chatni is simply superb, one must have Misel pav breakfast here in Belgaum. I totally recommend this place, looking for to visit again

Prefect place have breakfast in Belagavi, specially upam is mind blowing. Anyone who says I hate upam should visit this place and taste it once that delicious it is. And poori bhaji and misalpav is also too good they don’t service pav they give bread, they serve poori with two and four as well.

A very good option for snacks in the city, conveniently located and affordable. Parking 4 wheelers could be a problem near this place. Service is quick.

Decent food Ordered idli vada Poori baaji and wheat halwa ( which was waste of money ) I didn’t like the texture and taste of the halwa Coffee was good But a bit too sweet They say they serve dosa items only after 10 am . So that was disappointing.

Frankly, after visiting this place, I don't understand what the fuss is about. Food is good, but nothing exceptional. I liked their Uppeet, but their Vada had a peculiar smell. Service was painfully slow. If you are a solo traveller like me, no one will pay attention to you unless asked. Not even water was served unless explicitly requested. As a customer, the dining experience sucked. Their regulars might have a different experience, but it was a different story for me. I will not recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a courteous dining experience.

This cafe got a makeover some time ago, but I've been coming here for last 20 years. The food is really, really good, and the restaurant is always full and they have nice staff. Whenever I go back to my hometown, I always come here. They have lots of different kinds of food, and it's very clean and safe.

Hotel Ajanta ooooooo, this Hotel is one of my Favorite Hotels in Belgaum since my childhood, I have been visiting there for years now, as soon as this hotel name comes in mind, the first thing/dish appear in your eyes is the Puri Bhaji..... this dish is my oldest and favorite dish from this hotel. The only thing I may like to mention is the rates are too high now a days. However the taste of the food, especially the most popular dish The Puri Bhaji is at the top level as the same as it was year back. People can visit here with family members, friends etc. Parking for two wheeler is reasonably ok, but for car is difficult in areas of the city. The food never disappoints. Puri kurma and Puri bhaji are the must try items in the restaurant. Most of the people order Puri here, but it doesn't mean that they are the only delicious food to order, you must try their Tomato Uthappa and most interesting food item called Sangeetha, the mixture of Sev, onion, grated coconut with hint of lemon. Ambience: Simple and very clean. Service is quick and staff is very polite. Parking: Parking for two wheelers is available. It's quite difficult to park the four wheelers.

Visited this cafe for breakfast as per Google recommendations and it was really worth it. We tried the idli wada, medu wada, dry misal pav, sukhi (potato) Puri bhaji and the taste was really good. Specially the puris are crispy hot and puffed. The service was quick. Visit before 10.30am to avoid in waiting queues. UPI payments accepted.

The best part about Ajanta is they have maintained their taste since they started. Being there is always an delight. Tried kurma Puri and cutlets both of the dishes were yummy. Must visit place if you are look for good quality food in Belgaum

Taste is great. No dosa in morning. Rates are high if you compare but the taste and cleanliness is worth.

A much celebrated and recommended tiffin place in Belgaum. Uday Bhuvan close to it offers ample competition on Kurma Pooris but it stands firm. Almost all breakfast items are stellar and the only disappointment is that Benne Dosas were not available the morning we went. Service is crisp and your server will recommend ably. Feel free to not rack your brains and ask for the house favorites. Ambience has improved over the years and all modes of payment are accepted. Do go earlier in the morning to get parking. This is a challenge due to lane width and a theatre just opposite.

Best place to have breakfast in Belagam. Opens at 8 AM and the service is super fast. The place is neat and beautiful including rest room They accept cash and gpay. I have ordered the following items for breakfast. Vada - 5/5 - fresh and good taste with Sambar and chatney. Poori baji - 5/5 - they give u 4 Puri (medium small size) with Baji (taste like Kurma). Coffee - 2/5 - this is not like filter coffee.. i will not recommend it for coffee lovers. A lot of them are ordering Chow chow bath and idli, misaal ect. If u r visiting belagam, you can plan for breakfast here.

While traveling to Belagavi, searched about good places to have food and came across this Ajanta Cafe near Tilakwadi. We tried the most mentioned Puri Bhaji - honestly it was amazing, that combination was so good. It was crowded, staff's are friendly You have wait for your food, it takes time Pretty decent ambience.

We had visited on a Sunday morning during the breakfast time. Place was almost full and people were starting to queue up getting a table. Food was excellent. Being a peak time, it took a bit long to get the ordered dishes, but it was all worth it. Overall we enjoyed it and would visit it next time I am in Belgaum.

I had the best poori Kurma aloo here I also tried snacks called Sangeetha..do visit this place when you visit Belagavi.

Ajanta Cafe is good place for family to hangout. Pure veg restaurant serves Delicious food. We tried a cup of Tea with friends, it was not that much tastier or Must have drinks.

The place is good and easy to locate opposite to Chitra theatre, the best part was the natural light that came in the hotel but the place looked spooky and the waiters were low in numbers but the food too was average. The best part was the plage surprised me with Goli Soda whose pic I have attached. Overall a fine experience but they can still improve the menu and offerings, misal bread was available but not misal pav I mean come on.

Very tasty food and must try Puri kurma. Taste was too good. The place is very clean, hygiene maintained, good service.

For some reason or other I was not able to visit this place since a long time. But finally when I visited it was worth it. Specially the Kurma Puri was one of the best I ever had, not too spicy very good quantity of kurma and Gatti chutney. 9.5/10 Batata bonda and sambar was also tasty but had to request multiple times for bowl to make dip bonda. 9/10 Idli Wada was nice and tasty. 8.5/10 Balushahi was also tasty 8.5/10 Will try other items during next visit

Hygienic place.. Great service.. But cant say about food... Sheera was great.. Puri and Pulav was okay... Benne masala dosa dint work for me.. Too dry

The south indian breakfast is tasty. Food quality is good. Well maintained clean and hygienic. Staff is good. No parking place for 4W. Consistently maintaining food quality from decades.

No humanity and disrespectful. I have visited with my father and Ground floor is completely occupied and we used 1st floor table, that they said only allow for family. One thing I have not understood Me & father not a family? They are aged and the workers don't have minimum courtesy they ignored to serve on the first floor. They made us shameful 😔 and created scene. Please take our feedback in positively And make the things better, improve service with kindness.
