The place is great, it’s just above Jawa showroom. They’ve got two floors, rooftop and first floor. First floor can be arranged for private parties etc, seating is also available. Loved the service, it was pretty fast and the servers are very friendly and nice. The food quality was very good and the quantity as well. This is one of the few places where you get sushi. The only reason for 4 stars is the taste of a few dishes, taste can be experimented and improved upon. They serve alcohol as well. Overall a lovely experience

It was an nice experience. Food and the service was very good. Their continental dishes are must try and tasted nice. Also, the quantity of food is enough for a person. Ambience is very nice and pleasant. Good for all type of crowds. Would highly recommend to visit this place. Service was very prompt.

The seafood Risotto was absolutely divine! I'm usually not a risotto person but I fell in love with this one. The prawn tempura and salmon sushi was excellent too. Dessert was chocolate mousse and a citrus cake, which were light and fresh. Thoroughly enjoyed dinner! John was an absolute delight as well :)

A must visit place when in Pondicherry. We went for lunch. The ambience was so refreshing and classy. Food was delicious and the staffs were so courteous. House made refreshing drinks was amazing. On the whole it was a memorable experience with Cafe Veloute. Thanks to the team.

This restaurant was amazing by ambiance but a very big let down in terms of taste!! The shop was very well decorated and well maintained with a rooftop seating!! The food was just above average though 1. Main let down was they added tinned tuna to sushi roll.. Who even uses cooked fish in sushi? It had a weird taste to it... 2. The masala fried calamari was ok.. The batter wasn't crispy and felt very soggy as well 3. Seafood spaghetti was good and decent in flavor but there was too much maida and corn flour added to the sauce and it was pretty evident Overall a good place to visit but wasn't impressed by the food at all

Walked in to this place with zero expectations and absolutely loved the experience. With rain, there was minimal seating but the staff was very accommodating and courteous. Food was delectable and I would suggest trying their French delicacies especially the lobster in white wine sauce and chicken

One of the prettiest cafe in white town. With pretty rooftop. We have trust several dishes and we had the amazing time there! The food served was tasty and well sufficient And the drinks and coffee we ordered was good! Coming to the desserts , it was amazing, we had Pannacotta which tastes amazing!

Food preparation takes time but is worth it. We had Ratatouille, Mozarella Arachini and Creme Brulee. It was an absolutely amazing experience. Thank you.

We ate the beef Tenderloin and braised chicken stew with mash potatoes. The food was reasonable priced for the quality provided. The chicken was well seasoned and cooked to perfection and you taste all the herbs in the the stew. The mash potatoes was by far the best we had here. Staff was very proactive, attentive and helpful.

We stumbled upon the place by chance, while looking for another one. The ambience, in the rooftop dining was amazing. Situated in the white town, and surrounded by all the beautiful buildings. The food was ok and tasted average. But it was not French even though we ordered from the French section of the menu. We had Classic Ratatouilli, Coq au Vin and Chargrilled Tiger Prawns. For Indian we ordered Chapati n Chicken Butter Masala. Dessert was Panna Cotta.

Loved my lunch here, gluten free, vegan, full of fresh vegetables, great flavors and a nice change from the totally invariable Indian menus. A lovely place to sit and such nice waitstaff. Recommended!

They had great food. The prawns were really good. There was a rich buttery taste to everything they served. The ambience was great. The rooftop was decorated with beautiful lights and flowers.

Cafe was nice... food was also great and staff were too good. Really appreciate the staff people. We celebrated one of our friends birthday there and they helped us very well. You get all type of cuisine like Italian, Japanese, Thai, and Indian.

Really nice people! Excellent service and rhe food was fresh and spot on. The India flavor cocktails were great, if a bit salty for American taste buds but they made a perfect new batch. Such a gem in a sea of mediocre restaurants and genuine warm service with great prices. Also, nice rooftop!

Firstly ambience , roof top was nice. Rates are reasonable. Food was tasty. Staff were cordial. Pleasant enjoyed with my family. 5 stars feom our side. Fish was good chicken started was also juicy, softy and tasty.

Amazing restaurant with gorgeous ambience and absolutely delicious food. I had a few days in Pondicherry but I HAD to try their dishes on two different days. If you want a relaxed, quiet place to enjoy your dinner, this is the place for ya. Couldn’t recommend more!!

Roof top restaurant where you can enjoy watching people going down the street. Food was good but, like every other cafe in Pondicherry, costly. Staff was courteous. We went on weekday and it was almost empty. They should do something about the mosquitoes.

We had an absolutely fantastic dining experience at this restaurant. The food was exquisite, the ambience was lovely, and the service was top-notch. Dishes we tried, Mushroom spinach soup Vindali masala with beer batter dosa Poricha kozhi Greek salad

Very hospitable staff Mr Sujan hosted us. We enjoyed the cold coffee, the soups were excellent. Must try the prwan bisque soup. The tender coconut ice cream as well. A quaint cafe you don't want to miss.

Beautifully designed property with calm interiors. The food of this place was absolutely stunning. Presentation, taste everything was spot on. Would definitely recommend this place to someone looking for some classic French vibes while in Pondicherry.

This was quite a nice restaurant that we visited late in the afternoon. Very friendly staff and nice seating arrangements. The food was delicious. They offer French, Indian, Thai, Japanese dishes on the menu and some more too. We tried an assortment of veg momos, tempura prawns, and a main course of lamb racks. All of it was well prepared and presented. There is no parking space available.
