Our family had a fantastic time at The Backwater Rhapsody! The location is peaceful, with chirping birds the only noise you’ll hear. The garden is amazing, overlooking the backwaters. The pool is good enough to splash around and get a few early morning laps in. The gazebo was a nice spot for morning yoga! The property was big enough for us 3 couples, and we still had 2 rooms to spare. All the rooms have their own attached private bath, so there’s plenty of privacy. There are a few different options indoors and outdoors for common space. The property location is very close to the jetty stop, some nice walks, and a nearby kayaking adventure. Sunil and Suresh were our in-house chefs, and they were amazing! Every single dish we ate was fantastic. We tried so many things based on their suggestions, and couldn’t stop praising the food as well as the care they showed! We certainly plan to come back to Backwater Rhapsody and recommend it to our friends.

Staying true to its name The Backwater Rhapsody is truly a blissful blend of the charming backwaters & serene skies with a dash of generous hospitality. Tucked away in a tranquil corner of Alleppey, the property is situated right on the banks of the Vembanad lake overlooking the ‘Pathiramanal Island’. We were a family of 6, with 2 kids and had the full house for ourselves. The 2 rooms downstairs leading to a lawn , open sit out & garden, takes you to a touching distance of the lake. There are 3 rooms on top and the most delightful part of the property being the balcony which overlooks the lake giving an enchanting view of the backwaters. The most exotic places become beautiful only if you feel welcomed and this is where Suresh & Pradeep (the cook) lifts the standards to delightful levels. The cook trying to showcase his culinary skills was a norm throughout our stay with seafood being among his specialities. Having said that had some scrumptious vegan food as well, poori sabji, veg kurma, veg meals being some of them. Not to forget the fruit punches & snacks which regularly came our way. All sort of boat rides including speed boats (if you need some adrenaline rush) can be arranged with pick up right from the property!. As the twilight sets in, you can see fishermen sprawl their nets wide in hope of the best catch. We indeed had some fishermen come right to the property to sell us some freshly caught fish. The kids had a ball with some live fishing and some splashing by the neatly kept pool. Did hear there’s a bird sanctuary nearby as well which we couldn’t visit as I was unfortunately working! With remote working gaining so much prominence you can set your workstation on the balcony and focus into your laptop, while the setting sun on the horizon and the passing boats paint a gorgeous scene in the background. Especially if you’re a large group, would highly recommend this place to have the best of both the worlds! (the facilities of a most contemporary property with the warmth & freedom of a home stay) Sharing some pics from our stay, though we couldn’t take too many but hope these would suffice to paint a picture. What a beautiful outing on the backwaters! Enjoyed the day with my friends. We were very well-looked after by the team on board. Food was great.

We stayed for a day at Backwater Rhapsody with our family during a weekend in August. We were looking for a place that faced the backwaters, had a pool and was spacious enough to accommodate our group of 8. The photos of this place were just amazing. From the point I started discussions with Ken about the stay, I knew we were going to be very well looked after. He was very very proactive and he even went to lengths to give us a detailed set of instructions to his property which I haven't received before anyone. All thw reviews about this place raved about the in-house chefs dishes and those reviews were true to its words! The view is amazing, the rooms are spacious, there is a beautiful pool overlooking the backwaters , a beautiful lawn area once again facing the backwaters and an in-house chef who cooks mouth watering dishes. What more could you ask for!! Highly recommended this to anyone looking for a peaceful stay near the backwaters. Thanks Ken and team for making our stay memorable:)

I stayed there for 2 nights with my whole family. It was a lovely stay with tasty homemade authentic Kerala vegetarian(on our request) cuisine. The backdrop is very scenic and the property has a small pool for you to relax. We even celebrated my kids birthday there!

We had a wonderful stay at Backwater Rhapsody. The property is amazing with its view to backwaters, awesome staffs, clean rooms and neat pool. Food was exceptionally good. If you are a group of friends or families who wanna have some private place to chill this is the best place..

Pretty nice secluded place facing the backwaters. It's a 5 bedroom villa with a swimming pool, a large family can have a run of the place, all to their own. Lounging on the balcony overlooking the backwaters inspired me to repeatedly fail at photography. Unexpectedly pleasant surprise was the very reasonably priced, incredible home cooked food from the resident "totally unassuming" chef, did not feel the need to order or go looking for eateries. The host is quite pleasant and approachable, called in a couple of times to make sure we were doing ok and even offered to have the staff setup a barbeque by the poolside. Very cool!

Our stay was nothing short of excellent. The place is gorgeous.. right on the backwaters.. surrounded by greenary.Fire flies too pop in at night to say hello ..it's just wayy too gorgeous. Went kayaking as well to the island opposite which was a lovely experience.. and the food was just mind blowing... The best ever, hands down! Would definitely recommend that you visit this place with family or friends.

If relaxation is in your mind, then there should be no second thoughts in choosing this property. Ideally situated on the banks of vembanad lake with a picturesque view of the backwaters. Well built bungalow with 5 bed rooms , dining area, fully equipped kitchen and an in-house swimming pool. It was a home away from home for us who were traveling with kid's. Special mention should be made about Suresh the care taker of the bungalow and his cook who cooked mouth watering south Indian food catering to the kids and adults. Should also mention the boat ride where the boat reaches the rear gate of the bungalow and we had a doorstep pickup which we could have never imagined elsewhere. During your stay, you can also opt for body massage in the property nearby. Appreciation to the management for giving us a memorable vacation.

With mouthwatering food, and giving us an oppurtunity to taste authentic taste of Kerala sea foods as well as calm and serene atmosphere to unwind... The place is so calm picturesque... It is so nice to sit in the balcony with cool breeze and enjoy the site of calm backwaters and different shades of it during the day....away from the hustle and bustle of the city but with all the amenities. Plunging into pool, as well as kayaking was another memorable experience..... All together we really enjoyed the stay there.. Thankyou.. thanks a lot

Such a blissful experience. Comfortable and Homely, placed right at the backwaters. The place is aesthetically done and the food is to die for! We hogged on Karimeen, biryani, kappa biryani, duck, etc. The cook is so passionate about cooking that he doesn't leave any stone unturned even when it comes to presentation! Staff is friendly and helpful. Enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend.

Wonderful place - great location, well furnished interiors, and an in-house crew at your service, Ken’s place is like a 5-star hotel sans the typical hotel felling. We were 8 people and 3 kids, all of us thoroughly enjoyed the stay. There are nice dipping points around the place if you are into that, you can start a boating trip right from the house, and you have a pool by the house. If you are someone who likes water and swimming you will find many options in and around. Overall, we rate this stay very high - worth every penny.

We stayed 4 nights and we had an amazing time, great location with beautiful view of the backwaters and lots of shop nearby. Big thank you to Surish and Sunil to cook us restaurant standard food and also to take us around for shopping and to the temple to see the elephants. We had a great time and highly recommend.

Had a wonderful stay with my family and friends which included international travellers as well. Right from the beginning Ken was extremely helpful with all my requests and was very considerate with some of the special needs. All my friends also had a great experience. Special mention to the food. It was seriously good!
