Hospital is good in terms of doctors. I am writing my honest review from the hospital itself. None of the staffs are responsive to the patients. Whenever we ask them some questions, they say clearly "They don't know" as if they have joined the hospital very recently. Especially when it comes to insurance, they don't care at all. It was informed that my husband will be discharged from the hospital 3 days back and they had enough time to settle our bills with the insurance company but they just finished the process at 4pm and it takes longer time for us to get the settlement which is unfair. Went to PRO ,explained everything and understood that he is also from same category. Not sure where to go and complain about this again. To all the staffs out there "You are into a service industry and getting paid for what you do. So be polite to the patients and their bystanders instead of being rude and showing a rough attitude " To the hospital management "Appoint some compassionate and responsible professionals with good communication skills and satisfy them with a good salary. May be it will give them some positive vibe to work. Conduct some social and interpersonal skill development programs."

Very bad patient service. My mom had a doctor appointment at a different hospital and they made us wait at the pharmacy for too long that she missed her appointment. We asked a nurse to make it fast because of the emergency, she didn't care at all. She was counting money and kept on doing it. Clearly money is important for the hospital not the patients. Shame of you. Disappointed.

Worst patient service! Irresponsible and non -cooperative doctors and staffs. The doctors and nurses in the Casualty department will leave you unattended for a long time. My friend and I were admitted there due to severe vomiting as a result of food poisoning, and it took them so long to perform the initial procedures. My friend was suffering from severe chest pain due to continuous vomiting and gas buildup, but when we mentioned this to the doctors and staff, they simply said it would go away soon. He had to stay in that condition for almost three hours as they didn't provide any sort of medications to reduce the pain. The nurses doesn't check on you, and every time you have to send someone to call them. Before giving you an antibiotic, every hospital usually conducts an allergy test, but they didn't do it. When I got discharged and went home, my whole body developed red and swollen bumps due to an allergic reaction to the antibiotics, and I had to go to the hospital again.

Good hospital facilities. I appreciate this management for accepting Covid patients. They are providing good service. Causality is easily accessible. Very good parking space. They made the arrangements without any conjunction. Admission fees are reasonable not sure about the admit cases. Good infrastructure and facilities.

Doctors are good but nurses are so bad and really pathetic. LOOKS LIKE MANAGEMENT NOT BOTHERED ABOUT STAFF NURSE BEHAVIOR..Almost all the staff nurse were rude and very hard to find a helping nurse..we got admitted in hospital for treatment and experienced bitter experience from staff nurses at Nursing station, Insurance dept..They don't coordinate or won't help and like government office they will always ask patients to go and come back later or they will simply say "we don't know"...Nursing Station staff won't visit patients rooms and they hesitate to come out from the nursing station due to that we simply wasted hours of time also experienced immense pain during procedure..

For a creatinine value .75 the nephrology doctor told us that the kidney was in critical condition and is in need to start medication. I later confronted him after a brief chat with another doctor and a brief research, then ,suddenly the kidney went from critical to normal just under observation. . This is what happens here . You either have some knowledge in medical field or you get ripped off. Absolutely pathetic. Also there is no point complaining to the management, because, the patient was treated by the physician who happens to be one of the owners and the one who sent nephrology doctor in the first place. . I will list other pros and cons:- Pros: -good area for parking -Availability of insurance -canteen food almost always on time for patients -availability of different departments ( not sure about the efficiency) -good and clean rooms . Cons:- -your lack of medical knowledge will cause of tens of thousands if not lakhs. -There is no point in complaining against the management. -The nurses are constrained (at least thats how it felt ) from disclosing any details about the scan report and test results which you paid for - to change a diaper, the nurses will take hours even to attend your patient -You go by insurance, you end up paying more. -bell switch doesn't work ( at least in my room ) or they won't respond to it -mostly ,they will tell 'there is no rooms available and just for the time being the patient have to shifted to the ICU'. The rest i do not want to say. . Oh one more incident , i once went with a relative who hard chest pain. They did blood test and later the cardio doctor ( who is also one of owners) said the patient will not make it back home and is in need of urgent angiogram and possibly an angioplasty or surgery. But the patient resisted their strategy, then, from 'you will not make back home' changed to ' have this medicine and come back after 2 days'. What the heck* ? So does that mean they have magic portion that cure heart problems instantly and can help you defy any tragedy? Then why didn't they propose it in the first place ? . The medicine will only cost a max of 2k or let's just put it to 5k including doctors charge and everything. Now if you are willing to angioplasty, that 5k will turn to atleast 1 lakh. . I write this review after having these terrible experiences for me , my family and the ones I know. After discussing the same with few others, they too share a similar experience. . For once in life , focus on treating patients and not bulking your pockets.

Pharmacy and billing services are very slow should appointment two more staffs in the op billing session to reduce patients fatigue. Vidal insurance patients should clarify before taking the insurance and 10 percent co payment will be charged. I have a bad experience in which my parents total bill was around 1 lakh and food and 40 percent of pharmacy bills were not covered due to the improper food billing and not utilizing the medicines which covers under the insurance. I had a good experience in Rajagiri hospital where I just payed 2.5k out of 1.4 LK bill. Strange πŸ™„

Very nice hospital in thodupuza, visiting here will require an prior appointment and also one person is allowed with patient. Multiple section with very nice cleaning. Do take care of your self while reaching here, like carry your sanetizer. If you are waiting out side and you have 1 or more hour of waiting then visit near by places. Water fall and a uravapara view point.

The Hospital is good, staff and nurses are well behaved. If using INSURANCE then make sure to FOLLOW UP the Insurance section for doing the required procedures otherwise one may face delays. Expenses are on higher side but no complaints, now a days Hospitals are not 'Saints' in ripping off its Customers even if there is a 'Saint' in the name.

Arrogent attitude from all sort of staffs except the securities. Very irresponsible people are sitting on billing and insurance desk. We simply wasted hours of time and also experienced immense pain on the discharge process because of their negligence.

Worst hospital in Thodupuzha. None of the staffs are responsive to the patients.Very irresponsible people are sitting on the insurance department. Due to their irresponsible behaviour, our insurance got rejected. There was a mismatch in the documents they provided to the insurance company. The responsible person,Jancy did not even care about the matter and she was shouting. Went to PRO ,explained everything but the response was not that good.

This hospital needs a process optimisation in terms of patient admission, patient handling and pharmacy. Why make your patients wait when everything can be done effectively efficiently with lesser effort. Technology adoption and implementation is something that you should look at immediately. Doctors are decent.

Attitude of most of the staff is pathetic and keeps the patients waiting for long hours even after booking the appointment(be that to see the doctor or for vaccination) One good thing about the hospital is the doctors who are well experienced as well as kind to the patients but some nurses(not all) deglorify the kind act of doctors. Some inexperienced nurses in order to manage their shifts or whatever injects some medicines(like plasma, albumin) in 10 minutes which is actually supposed to be injected in 8-10 hours(I've lost my dear one because of their negligence, and it's true nobody can prove me wrong). My stars is only for the well experienced and kind doctors(especially Dr.Jacob, Dr.Sreejith, Dr.Joshy, Dr.Veena, and the Cardiologist, can't remember his name)

I came here with my Mom for a Fibroscan scan that was scheduled a week back. it was confirmed that we need to report by 09:30 AM which we reconfirmed on the scheduled date (26/04/2023).We have reported exactly after 09:30 AM in the morning and we had to wait till 11:45. As advised by doctor my Mom just had a black tea in the morning and this is not acceptable to wait for more than 3 hours with empty stomach just to have a scan done. Our house just 2 kilometres from the hospital and if there was so much delay it would have been very helpful to get an information atleast when we call up in the morning to check the status. Please note that our time is also important.Terrible experience!!!!

If i could give 0 stars i would have given it. The approach of staff towards patients is very very bad. They insult and harrass. Especially from pulmonology department staff treat you harshly and with extreme harrasment too. No special details or information are given through the course of treatment. For anybody who is searching if you want a particular test done in the hospital, there is a separate booking for the test and also a separate booking for the doctor. Also if your test involves any kind of stripping please make yourself good for they eyes or they would be disgusted by you. Hope this helps for some poor souls out there.

I've visited St. Mary's Hospital in Thodupuzha several times for urgent accident cases; it's the closest hospital for anyone living in the high range area. The last time I visited, my father's brother fell from a height of twenty feet and broke more than five ribs and his back bone in addition to having a wound on the back of his head. Even without a painkiller, the patient was detained in the corner of the trauma room for four hours, and we had to wait two and a half hours for the results of the CT scan.Only they have is a group of junior doctors and nurses, This patient was crying from pain while receiving treatment for a serious condition, yet even the doctors seemed unconcerned about it. At last they referred us to another hospital for better treatment, and the reason is they don't have a doctor. Whenever they see the patients situation they know that they can't do anything with his situation but they admitted the patient for a long time only for getting the money from us.Since everyone is eager to transport their loved ones to the next hospital, no one is complaining or leaving a Google review despite the fact that everyone is experiencing the same problem here. All they need is money. Worst experience ever

My father admitted in ST.Mary's hospital with history of headache and weakness of upper limb, After proceeding their diagnosis part Dr.Anoop varma suggested for surgery. We postponed the surgery for prior approval of cashless insurance policy para mount. We paid advance amount of Rs-12000/- before getting discharge as per the request of insurance department. They also bring into notice that, it's refundable but we don't. So I complaint to Dr. Thomas, Immediately I got call from Ms. Shobha Moorthy , from insurance department . She fulfilled all the procedure of policy as I need. I got prior approval of Rs-100000/- ,but when the surgery procedure gets completed ,full amount of 185000/- is settled with cashless insurance. I am thankful to all the team members of St. Mary's hospital especially DR. Anoop , Ms. Shobha Moorthy ,Dr. Thomas & Teny for your valuable support , awesome care and consideration.
