Had to wait in queue for almost 45 mins before we finally got the chance to get a table. The waiting area is hot and overcrowded and there is no crowd management. When you finally get in though, it is like going from purgatory to heaven. Inside the AC seating area it is cool and not at all crowded. You can order at your own pace and eat peacefully. The food is amazing and tasty. Almost worth the wait.

My first visit to Kozhikode as well as Paragon Restaurant. Truly enjoyed the experience, the food was yummy 😋 at reasonable price. The place is too famous and too crowded, makes you wait sometime for a table, but it’s worth a wait. Try Kerala authentic cuisine which are special and tastier. Not from this part of India 🇮🇳 so the experience was completely new too me and enjoyed the food as well.

One of the oldest restaurants famed for their Biriyani. The mutton and chicken variant were tasty and subtly spiced. Meat was extremely well cooked. Appam and stew is another good option. Tends to get extremely busy during lunch hours. Service is good. Parking available. There are separate counters for takeaways so no crowding at entrances.

A chicken biriyani from paragon is a must try on every Calicut trip. I absolutely love the vibe at this place. Friendly staff, very tasty food and reasonably priced menu. Highly recommended

Bring a vegetarian I was initially skeptical about eating here. But was pleasantly surprised with a decent variety of options in veg food. All the traditional Kerala dishes were awesome. Baked Desserts are not that good tho. Place is a bit small n dingy & service was slow but v. good. The complimentary salad with mango, carrot n chilli was just too good. Dancing tea is another different item tho the taste is like the normal tea only! That’s Another reason why place is always crowded apart from being a popular choice for many

The restaurant is known for its biryani. We had Chicken Biryani,Koonthal fry (squid),Chicken varattiyath,Vellayappam and Wheat Porotta. All of them were super delicious. Although it was very crowded and we had to wait for a long time, they had proper token system to avoid any sort of confusions. The waiters and staff are very customer friendly and polite. We had a glass of Lime tea at the end of our huge meal which was out of the world. The flavor of the lime tea was so good,I can't describe it. On the whole it was a worth the wait dining experience. Going again to treat my taste buds.

We went around 11 am, most of the items were either over or not yet prepared. On the suggestion tried the mango veg curry, it was very creamy and good. Country desi Chicken biryani was fabulous too. Chicken varatiyyathu gravy was very delicious but the chicken in it was so hard and raw, couldn't eat a single piece of it. Travelled all the way from Hyderabad to try this place, was not disappointed.

We had a good experience in the restaurant. It was excellent in terms of quality, taste as well as service from the staffs. Got to say delicious food is the highlight of this place. The chicken biryani served is my absolute favourite one, especially the pickle served along with it is beyond description. The restaurant was crowded when we visited on Sunday night. But they have ample parking space available. Overall it was a pretty great dine-in experience.

Food was good. Biriyani and fish mulikitath with porrotta must try. Over priced. Huge rush 12 00 to 4:00pm Car parking available. Toilets are common for men and ladies not clean. Car parking available but huge rush. Food quality and quantity is good. Overpriced. Dinning area is so good. Staffs are good and nice behaviour. Deserts are also available. Tea and coffee also recommended. Ac dinning recommended. Reservation is good for time saving. Authentic Kozhikodan biriyani served.

Kerala Appam with Fish mango curry is finest & best combination in the menu. Chicken coconut fry with a crispy coconut flakes was also a good taste to it. Mint lime was very nice & fresh.

Great experience, food and service. One of the best I have ever had in a long time. Everything is cooked to perfection and special call out to Mehboob who took care of us and explained each dish in detail and history in them. Thanks Paragon and team for the great culinary experience.

Had chicken biriyani and fish biriyani at very crowded time..hard to find seats 😐. So choosen AC. CB was tasted good with average quantity. Chicken was different tasty one. Dates pickle is favourite ☺️ Fish biriyani is not price worthy item. Rice was cooked same and fish was okay. But not a price worthy thing! Sitting arrangements and washrooms are okay. Fish Biriyani 310 (AC) ! 😐 CB 190 (AC) GST@5% is extra

I went to the place for breakfast and ordered chicken stew, fish mango curry, appam, coffee, tea and coconut pudding. Food is awesome and no question about the quality and service. Great staff with commendable service. If you compare the prices according to other restaurants in the city, you'll find it on a higher side but worth the try. You should go to this restaurant of you haven't had already.

Paragon Restaurant is an excellent dining experience that I would highly recommend. The food was absolutely delicious, with a wide variety of options to choose from. The service was top-notch as well, with friendly and attentive staff that made us feel right at home. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, making it the perfect place to enjoy a meal with friends or family. All in all, it was a wonderful dining experience that I would definitely return to in the future. If you're looking for a great meal in a welcoming environment, Paragon Restaurant is the place to go❤️

I recently dined at Paragon Restaurant in Calicut and sadly, the experience fell short of expectations. The Chicken Biriyani and mutton Biriyani were not up to par; the chicken pieces lacked flavor, and the mutton Biriyani consisted mostly of bones with minimal meat. On top of this, the long wait of 30 minutes to get in made it a frustrating and time-consuming visit. I would rate my overall experience 3 out of 10, considering my experiences in other Kerala restaurants. I would not recommend Paragon Calicut, especially for families visiting from foreign countries to explore food in Kerala. Attached are pictures highlighting the disappointing quality.

I need not tell this but they are one of the top restaurants in the world. Frankly I didn't know that. I just happened to eat at this restaurant without any reference from anyone. In short, their food is one of the best I have ever tasted. The seafood platter had crabs, fishes, prawns, squids each one prepared in a unique flavour and taste. Tender coconut pudding was awesome and yummy. Though it is just a restaurant, they have maintained their standards as that of a star hotel. Anyone visiting Calicut must try this restaurant. Happy eating 😋😋😋.

It's recommended by the lodge owner where we stayed (Eshwari lodge). It's good but have to wait in the queue a lot. Good ambience, food quality and taste is good but the service is too bad. We waited almost 1 hr to get our food. We went for dinner around 10.45 pm and finished at 12.50 pm but still the restaurant was full.

A must visit place for Biriyani Lovers!!! Enjoy the authentic taste of Malabar Biriyani here. Have sufficient parking available to accommodate the crowd, basically the plot for parking is available at the backyard of the restaurant.

I recommend visiting on weekdays to savor the food without the crowds and avoid any waiting time. On weekends and holidays, it tends to be busier, leading to longer waits. For breakfast, we tried the appam, pattiri, mutton stew, and chicken curry. The appam were soft and fluffy, and the pattiri were crispy and flaky. The mutton stew was rich and flavorful, and the chicken curry was also very good. For lunch we started our meal with the Chicken Lagoon Biriyani, which is a must-try for any biryani lover. The biryani is made with fragrant basmati rice, tender chicken, and a flavorful masala. The rice is cooked to perfection, and the chicken is juicy and flavorful. The masala is also very good, and it gives the biryani a nice kick. Overall, we had a great experience at Paragon Restaurant. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was very pleasant. We highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a taste of authentic Kerala cuisine.

A pleasant and heart warming satisfaction as always when you visit Paragon. Mind it though that due to the popularity you might have to wait a bit to get to a table during rush hours. Even with all the continuous rush in customers, the service is impeccable and the staff are very helpful. An ideal place for tasting the exuberant Kerala cuisine with a 'kozhikodan' (Calicut) touch.

One of the oldest restaurants in town, I was instantly transported back in time with its charming old interiors. The service was simply outstanding, as the staff was attentive and courteous in spite of the heavy rush, there were at least a 50 people waiting outside to get in. And everyone got a smile from the staffs. Now, let's talk about the food. The food was beyond amazing! Prepared with authentic flavors, the biriyani was so good that my kids just loved it. The most delightful surprises, they had Vegetable biriyani and i didnt leave a tiny grain of rice behind. Every bite was a pure delight. What impressed me the most was the unbelievable affordability. Despite its longstanding reputation and excellent service, the prices were incredibly cheap. It's a place where time slows down, and you can savor both history and culinary artistry. I can't recommend it highly enough, and I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

A must try if you are in KKD. Was here for breakfast pretty early to avoid the waiting period. On a Sunday at 8.45 am we got lucky to have no waiting. We were 4 adults and 1 kid. Ordered appam, puttu, chicken stew, egg roast, beaf roast, beaf varattiyatu, pazham pori, uzhunnu vada and tea. Every dish had its authentic taste. Acceptable quantity. Pazhampori with beaf varattiyatu is a must try. Highly Recommended!!!

One of the oldest restaurant in the town with a huge parking space. There are three categories of seating which we can pick on our choice with a long waiting queue but u will definitely find the seating in less than half hour. When comes to the food they serve a huge varieties of food with amazing taste. Prices are very decent and sea food price is depend on market price so it varies from day to day like a trade market. I and my friends have tried almost 25 varieties of food which included non-veg & veg starters, gravies, biryanis, 11 variets of deserts and even we tried the bonda, vada all of them are excellent Keep it guys ur Standerd and receiving is very great all the best

Above average authentic dishes available here. Usually anytime you come here it will be rush. Weekends you will have to wait minimum 35 mins to get a seat. Some dishes I felt like the quantity is very less compared to the price. They have decent meals. Superb biriyani, and a wide variety of other dishes definitely coem and try. You will not regret. Note: seperate parking available here so no need to worry.

Visited paragon on a busy day. Reached 1:45 big crowd waiting already. Written down name for a/c section. Estimated time is said to be 45 min. After 20 minutes waiting looked at the list long way to go. Waited next to someone already eating food to reserve the seats and managed to get the food in 30 min. Liked the biriyani. But is it worth all the rush and waiting?

Ambience is ok..as I am not from Kerala..every food will be of coconut oil (taste and aroma)...if u like the flavour of coconut oil..then u may like the food.. *As of me*... Mutton biriyani is sweet.. Seafood soup we ordered..inspite of coconut oil aroma it tastes very good.. Pomphret fry(Avoly Tawa Grilled)..has coconut pieces wid it..taste is ok Paneer dry fry..paneer is little bit sour and is coated with grated coconut.. Paneer butter masala..inspite of masala it is sweet and paneer is sour.. Chapathi is smooth and nice They gave hot plates and spoons.. healthy.... Prices are little bit high...

Taste the authentic flavours. We tried the biryani from Paragon by 12pm. Biryani was good. The sides provided was also nice accompaniment with the biryani. After having biryani, step out and have milk sarbath. While we returned after 1pm, the restaurant was too crowded for the lunch. So please do visit before 1pm. Dine in and take away is available. Good parking facility.

It's the old paragon outlet at the heart of town. Waited for 1 hr to get a seat on a Saturday noon. Fish curry meals and mutton biryani are very good. Meals are worth for the rate(Rs 110/-). Good service. Hygienic washrooms. Paragon chicken fry is a must try. Chicken biryani is not worth the hype and tastes average. Crowd management is very poor. Ample car parking space available 👍. Try dine-in if you are ready to spend minimum 2-3hrs for lunch.

Visited the restaurant on 3rd Sep 2022 with my friend and family. It's one of the best restaurants in Calicut. It's little bit crowded place. We had to wait around 30 min to get the seats. Since it's crowded either you should call prior or give your name on e you reached . They will arrange the seatings once vacant. Very nice staff behaviour and nice food. The ambence was excellent. Restroom and was area was neatly maintained. A recomended place for trying traditional and authentic foods.

Visited this place for lunch. Place is expensive and not for regular visits. Had biryani, squids , fish polluchatu and lime mint. Bill is close to 1874 rs. I feel place is expensive for normal families. The lunch time is very crowded. And people wait close to you to finish and management is not very supportive. They say u find a table and wait for the person to finish. We have to occupy th chair even before the other person has completed his transaction.

For me this is the best biryani that I've had outside home. Both the mutton and chicken biryanis are great and out of the world but if I had to choose one I would go for the mutton biryani. Their kalumakai fry was a huge disappointment. That's the only reason why I'm not giving a 5/5. It was not fresh and there was too much coconut to reduce the mussels quantity. The fish meals are also good. The sambar, parip and fish curry was outstanding. I liked their unlimited pappadam policy. The service is great however the ambience is not that well. This is mainly due to offer crowd and noise from it.

One of the legendary places in Kozhikode and well worth it. The place is packed to the rafters and the crowd can get overwhelming very quickly, however the food is absolutely worth it. Fluffy poratta, yummy chicken curry and chicken biryani which had the rice cooked to perfection and such flavour. Kadukka roast was great too. The service is quick and efficient - there are three different seating area, but all of them are packed and you need to be ready to fight for your seat, but the good is with fighting for. Parking available behind the hotel and there are guys managing it who are under pressure due to the crowd of cars, but they do a great job of managing it.

I recently dined at Paragon Restaurant and had a delightful experience. They served incredibly tasty food. During our stay at Calicut, we enjoyed both breakfast and lunch at the same venue. For breakfast, the appam with chicken stew was a standout, complemented by a delicious cup of coffee. Moving on to lunch, the chicken biryani was a personal favorite, bursting with flavor. The prawns and neymeen fry were also outstanding choices. The meal was accompanied by a variety of sides including salad, pickles, chutney, and papadam, enhancing the overall dining experience. In summary, Paragon Restaurant provided an excellent combination of good hospitality and delectable cuisine, making it a highly enjoyable dining destination. ❤️

I personally didn’t like the Biryani as I felt it’s too bland and had no Flavour at all in the mutton which I ordered. I felt the Mango fish curry is legendary than the Biryani. The service was okay as the team was not able to serve the starters the way we ordered. The fish was stale in the fish curry,We informed the service team but nothing was done about it.The khunafa was pathetic. Positives Mango fish curry Dancing Tea Coconut pudding

One of the old and famous restaurants in the world. Need to reserve table earlier because its busy all day (only if you need AC room). Food is totally worth it. Especially the Biryani that its famous for, in the world.

It was a one in a lifetime experience. They welcomed us with the plate of raw mango, carrots and jalapeno (dipped in water for flavor) with Pineapple lime juice. In the main course, We ordered Chicken Biryani (their delicacy), Prawn mango curry, Tribal Beef and plain rice. They served coconut coriander chutney, inji Puli, curd, papadam and pickle along with the main course. Dessert was asthetically pleasing and tasted delicious, orders Caramel custard and Eraneel pudding. Recommend you to visit once to this 11th Most legendary restaurant in the world 🌎. Special mentions for Manager Rajan, appreciate his hospitality, very kind and humble person.

The legendary Paragon Restaurant at calicut. Tried chicken and mutton biriyani, both are authentic. Excellent service as well. Expect a queue during lunch, however crowd managed well.

Absolutely delicious food! You must try the biryani from here as it's the best I've ever had! They serve it with raita, pickle and 2 different chutneys which offee a nice flavor and texture contrast. My father in law got the fish curry meals and it came with so many sides! I got the Paneer Varattiyathu and the gravy was sooo flavorful! It paired so well with porotta.

Mango Fish Curry was good but it looked like the fish in it was separately cooked. Combination with Appam was nice. Pompfret Taawa Fry was mild in spice levels but it was good. We missed the biriyani as we were late. Lemon Soda was just fresh and good. The coconut pudding was too good here.

Nine years ago, I savored their chicken biryani and it remains one of my favorites. Remarkably, when I tried it again recently, the taste was consistent—absolutely unchanged. While they offer a variety of options, my preference is still their chicken biryani.

I recently dined in paragon restaurant in Calicut with my family and we ordered an appetizer along with the biriyani which tasted good. The starter honey mint apple appetizer, a refreshing and innovative twist on traditional starters. It served as a delightful precursor to the biryani, teasing my palate with its unique combination of flavors.

The most famous restaurant in Kerala and especially for Biriyani. The fish curry and beef recipes are really good. Recently they had open an extension at the Kerala Literature Festival in Kozhikode beach. But the Biriyani served there is not that exceptional like the one in the parent restaurant. Paragon has to maintain the quality standards and taste as they are opening more branches now.
