"Pay what you can" (or "free" if you don't have money) mess in Poonithura in Ernakulam is a must visit place. Capuchin mess is a clean, hygienic, vegetarian dine-in/takeaway food place that serves breakfast, lunch and evening snacks. No billing, no ordering, just pay what you want and if you don't have money, you can have food for free. People can volunteer here whenever they can too. Great concept and very calm and friendly place to walk in for a meal.

Nothing to say about this cute little place. Wonderful idea behind it, running for a great cause. Many people find it useful. Kudos to the team behind it. Keep it up! We tried the veg meal option (which was the only item in the menu during lunch) Simple affair with tasty, homely side dishes. No bill presented to you. Donate how much ever you feel to.

Wonderful place offering breakfast and lunch. Fixed meal options... food is freshly made and tasty. I had lunch twice from here.... traditional kerala food. Fixed menu, no specials, just great food served with lot of love. The place is open as long as food is available. There is no cash counter and you can drop your contribution in a box kept outside. Food is free for the underprivileged. Service is done by volunteers and the service is great. A must try if you like standard Kerala vegetarian rice and curry.

Capuchin Mess is a vision of Capuchin monks to feed the most deserving people. It is a humble space without special seating, available for all beyond class distinctions. They provide vegetarian meals and breakfast at a cost of Rs 40 and 20 , and though there are no cashiers, you can drop payment in the post box near the outer dining area if you wish. The mess can accommodate 16 people at a time. Simply grab a plate near the service counter, and a volunteer will serve you food. Feel free to ask for more, but please avoid wastage as it could feed another person. Once seated, water will be provided on the table, or you can pick up a glass from the side station and find an available seat. Father Bobby's presence is sometimes seen in the mess, engaging in tasks like washing, clearing plates, wiping tables, or even serving curd with love ❤️ Located between Petta and Maradu, about 50 meters from Gandhi Square, Petta. Lunch is served from 12:30pm to 2.00pm

Nice noon food, place has a spiritual ambience. They provide food at noon. The best hospitality i ever had. They treat customers like family They provide vegetarian food to people who needed. A old Indian Post box where you can drop money but it is not monitored. The service is spearheaded by Father Jose Kuttikad and his volunteers team. They assure we are comfortable. The cartoons hanged in the walls explains us about the place and . When we finish from there he are filled with desire to visit some more days and experience their place. If you are visiting Ernakulam make sure you are experiencing this place. Truly divine experience whilst visiting the place . The people in and around are so friendly and they treat everyone, with respect. . Mesmerising definitely, without fail, food is healthy and delicious

👍 A place well known for the pazhampori-beef combo. Being not a big fan of the combo, undoubtedly they serve the best beef roast in Tripunithura and their pazhampori is also good. Sufficient dining area available but parking might be an issue. Table service can be improved.
