The serenity of the place is unmatched. Sitting here and meditating on Srila Prabhupada's sacrifices .. is certainly a panacea for the conditioned soul.

This is the holy spot where the Founder-Acharya of the worldwide ISKCON movement (the Hare Krishnas) set his divine feet. Srila Prabhupada alighted in Kochi on August 21, 1965 as the lone passenger onboard the cargo ship M.V. Jaladuta. After a two-day stopover, the vessel, along with its unique passenger moved on to the USA and into the pages of history. Inspired by Lord Krishna and his own spiritual teacher, Srila Prabhupada went on to spread the true teachings of the Bhagavad Gita and the chanting of Krishna's holy names to virtually every continent and country around the world in just 12 years. The movement he founded and the treasurehouse of books he authored continue to be beacon lights of hope and happiness to navigate an increasingly confused world. We request you to visit a nearby ISKCON center or search ISKCON online for more info. Hare Krishna.

This memorial of the divine grace Srila Prabhupad is there as a mark of respect for the saint who toiled hard to save people from the horrible experience of birth and death cycle... Divine grace lotus feet had touched this area and hence its sacred. And it should be seen as such. The place is open for the public. A saint who traveled all round the world to give Krsna to them and His divine messages as it is... Let's respect him, his work and treasure this memorial as very sacred.

Great place to be, its serene atmosphere, deep roots with sanatana dharma culture. Srila Prabhupad -Founder Acarya of ISKCON started his journey from here to western countries to propogate Krishna Consciousness. Sets Of Srimad Bhagavatam was loaded from this very point. A truly austere place

The Prabhupad Memorial in Cochin, located near the Bolgatty Palace, Cochin, Kerala, is a small shrine dedicated to Srila Prabhupad, the founder acarya of ISKCON, International Society for Krishna Consciousness. This is the spot from where Srila Prabhupada embarked on his journey to the United States in 1965 at the age of 66 with a deep desire to spread the message of Krishna Consciousness throughout the world, following the order of his Spiritual master and his journey to America marked the beginning of his mission. He arrived in New York City with just seven dollars, set of Srimad Bhagavatam and a deep desire to share the teachings of Bhagavad Gita with the western world. This holy spot attracts many devotees to come to pay their respects and offer prayers and it holds great significance for all the followers of sanatana dharma, especially for followers of the Iskcon. The memorial is a reminder of Srila Prabhupad's dedication and commitment to spreading Krishna Consciousness throughout the world. Today, ISKCON has thousands of centers worldwide, and the teachings of Srila Prabhupad continue to inspire people from all walks of life.
