The restaurant is at a beautiful location. The staff was also cordial and helpful.The freshly prepared items were very tasty except a fish curry which looked like prepared earlier and not tasted good. Answer for the reply from owner: please understand that, We didn't try to give you a bad review. If you don't want even a slight amount of criticism , then move ahead and ignore this reply. Else try to improve by urself.The last item we have ordered, an Ayala( Indian mackerel) thenga paal curry was not tasty and felt bad. You yourself told that, this is the only item readily available without delay. It may be difficult to tell you on your face, that your curry is bad. So we kept quiet, at that time. Please understand that, these type of platforms are also for giving critical review. Reducing the rating from 4 starts to 3 stars, for your improper reply.

Good place to vibe out with friends and family. Way to restaurant enjoyed the whole beauty of Kumbalangi. Owners are really friendly and their motto is a booked dine in for a private space. Kerala dishes are served and rates are normal.

Was just looking for a good food spot and happened to end up here, but was pleasenty surprised from the experience I had here. This is a new restaurant run by a family and they serve freshly caught live fish. The food was yum and the place was beautiful, but the best part was their hospitality. This will be a great place to have private outings with family and friends. Will surely visit again.

It's a small beautiful place surrounded by natural prawn/fish farms! A very sweet family runs the restaurant and ensure that the food is ethnic food! Very glad I chose to come here with friends! We had an absolute lovely and serene time!

Varambu is a hidden gem located in Puthenkari, Kumbalangi ,Eranakulam district surrounded by beautiful chemmeen (shrimp) plantations. The restaurant offers an authentic South Indian dining experience in a serene and peaceful environment. The service at Varambu was prompt and courteous, with the staff being attentive and accommodating to our requests. The cleanliness of the restaurant was also impressive, with a neat and tidy dining area and clean washrooms. Overall, I would highly recommend Varambu to anyone looking for a good South Indian meal in a peaceful setting. The food, service, and ambiance all combine to create a memorable dining experience.

We had such an amazing time here at Varambu. A beautiful restaurant by the lake. You need to contact them prior for reservation. We had duck roast, squid roast, fish molly, karimeen pollichathu, appam, Chapathi and lime juice. Definitely going back again. Try and visit during sunset and get amazing pictures.

First of all, I was surprised to find a restaurant over there. It is located away from the roads in a really quiet area. The ambiance over there is so calming and peaceful. The food was excellent. But what attracted me the most was the hospitality the people over there provided. It would be better to pre-book before you visit.

While planning an outing with my colleagues in a nearby place google showed this amazing place with good review. We were looking for a quiet place where my team can forget everything and be themselves enjoy and be happy. I called up and asked for an unusual request " A Christmas day Lunch for more than 20" . The owner took only 5 minutes to get back and give an affirmation. He listened and patiently replied my every query. We placed our special orders previous day itself... We reached the place by 12.30 and we just relaxed all together had a wonderful time followed by a delicious, homely food. The place is in Kumbalangi. After crossing St George Church in 50 meters there is a right turn in front of the Petrol Pump. going ahead is the beautiful road leading to Chellanam both sides ornamented with small waves whispering to the shore. On the Boarder you will see the Chellanam Grama Panchayat welcome board. Take the next left turn, the road is narrow, but a car can easily go. after a few hundred meters the road ends to a muddy road, going ahead you may find enough parking spot. From there A "Varambu" stars and can be bit tricky. but it leads to a 100-meter passage to this beautiful quiet and warm place. Looking for a tranquil place to relax and have a delicious fresh food, this is a place to give a try....

Good vibes around. Best time to attend is late evening by sunset. Had a good boat trip to and from restuarant. Food was really nice, especially the fish was really fresh.
