The guide we had for Amer fort told us that Amer fort was named after this god. We actually didn't go to the temple but however when you visit step well, this temple is clearly seen! Very beautiful temple of Lord Shiva and a hidden shiv linga which came out from the ground. Very quite place for meditation.

One of the most famous temple of Amer. Very old temple , here shivling is below the ground level.

As this is our kuldevta and visited first time here but the energy and vibe here was different. Must visit temple in amer Jaipur.

Mandir was in very good condition and Baba was kind as well in the maha deva mandir.

The ambience, the calmness, the peace of this place can't be described. The priest is so humble, you'd want him to keep talking. If you're nearby Amer Fort , you must not skip this Mahadev mandir. Always remember to carry your own water bottle, and if you can please buy souvenirs from the local vendors of amer village.
