I had a very decent stay at the hosteller Ooty, the location is pretty good as it is located at a height so the view is nice. The staff was very helpful and have kept the place quite neat. The only feedback from me would that they should have a fully functional kitchen.

The property is fine so it’s a fun stay here. 1. Rooms are good here and the atmosphere is very friendly. 2. Service is okay. Staff is friendly. The only thing is there is nothing available in food. Like Atleast tea should be there. 3. Location is a bit offside but easily reachable. More indicators before entering the lanes would make the navigation easier.

The service was truly impeccable; the staff was always there when needed. The room was comfortable and had a heater in the bathroom which is a must-have out here. The garden surrounding the dorm was beautiful, and my mom even asked for some flowers (for her garden 😄of course)🌼. To our delight, they went above and beyond to provide us with those as well! 😂 Highly recommend this place!

A big thank you to Akhil (property manager) for making our stay so pleasant and helping with every ask we had! 5 stars for him! :) The property is really beautiful, vintage yet young and just a very great experience meeting and hanging out with different people from across the globe!

The experience overall was good. Akhil the property manager was very welcoming and helpful. The room that I stayed in was very small, plus the blanket provided was not warm. Was not able to sleep the entire night because blanket was not doing its job. One suggestion - Start in-house kitchen.

Location, surrounding and architecture of this property will surely amaze you. It feels like you are in some British cottage surrounded by good people, very comfy. Bonfire at night allowed us to interact with other guests. Only two cons I noticed— for us power socket was not working one night although that was fixed by next day but guys please carry power banks in such cases. And for us room was a bit congested leaving no space to move for 4 people. Other than that I will remember the warmth we received from here. Good place to stay!

This was my 1st experience at The Hosteller property and I was totally disappointed. 1. The check-in process is unnecessarily long. 2. Rooms are small and cramped. No proper space for keeping luggage even after giving compartments under the beds. That space isn't enough. 3. No cafeteria service. 4. All residential houses nearby so you can't play music or chill outside for long. 5. The only positive about this place was staff. Everyone was helpful and polite.

I had a fantastic experience during my recent hoteller stay. The staff was exceptionally welcoming and accommodating, making me feel right at home. The room was spotlessly clean, well-appointed, and had a beautiful view.I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would highly recommend this hoteller to anyone looking for a comfortable and memorable getaway.

Pros: The staff was great and quite helpful. The cleanliness and overall quality of maintenance was also very good. Cons: The location wasn't great. It was on a mud road far from the main road below, high in elevation, and difficult to reach on foot. Poor parking facilities as well. Also, there were very few good places for something as simple as tea or snacks in the vicinity. The property itself doesn't have any amenities or food options. A small kitchen or pantry for guests to make their own food/tea/coffee would be great given the isolated nature of the property.

I would like to state explicitly that the staff were very helpful and approachable during my stay. They made my stay as comfortable as they could. Coming to the flip side, the lack of effective insulation meant that we were almost freezing during the night time. My only suggestions are to keep some heaters, at least during the winter months, where temperatures could drop to near zero degrees. Facilities to make your own coffee/ tea or some basic food would be nice. Its also advisable to bring your own lock.

[Edit] I received a call from the customer care. They mentioned that the IVR number also works as their Whatsapp customer care number where I could have talked to a human. Not so intuitive and not explicitly mentioned on their website so just writing it here in hopes it will help someone. One thing I didn't like was the company trying to distance itself from anything that goes wrong and the company rep who called me trying to downplay the issues I raised. ---- One significant issue was the difficulty we faced in locating the property. First the placement of the boards was not optimal. Some of them don't face you while you move towards the hostel. There are also visibility concerns at night which makes the boards difficult to spot. The terrain looks challenging, especially during the nighttime, and that demotivated us to venture further. Second thing that added to our concerns was that we were unable to contact the property manager. The manager made no effort to contact us before our check-in and didn't contact us even when we were a few hours late for our check-in. The contact number provided on the website proved unhelpful, as it directed us to a teleprompter where we couldn't find an option to speak with a human. This situation was particularly stressful as we were already running late and had not had our dinner yet. To compound matters, we received a message from the property manager a significant 8 hours after our check-in time, informing us about the check-in process. This delay and lack of timely communication left us quite frustrated, especially given the circumstances. The only positive aspect was the property manager's understanding during our late checkout; there was no fuss made in this regard. The rooms were clean and comfortable. 1 charging point per bed. There was some space to keep your bags, but bringing your own lock would be helpful. The common room was nice as well.
