It's a decent hotel with a very good breakfast. Had a very puffy Idlis here. It was very delicious. It's a pitstop place during long distance travel. Ample space for parking is available. Only thing they don't accept credit card payments.

One of poorest hotel ever visited for their reputed hotel name in other places of Karnataka. It's all huge and good looking from outside, once you enter the place you will completely regret you choice. No proper maintanence, no cleanliness, no proper water facility, uncleaned washroom, no cards accepted for payment, poor network coverage to pay through digital app and only choice of payment is via cash. Average food taste, no proper service towards customer. Recommend not to visit this hotel.

We went to Kamat Upachar Kunigal twice, once on the way from TN to KL and once on the way back, both times for lunch. Food is excellent, but serving is slow and quantity is comparatively low. Also if you are a walk in customer and simultaneously a KSRTC bus brings customers to the hotel, you will be served last after all the KSRTC customers are served. It happened to us both times. Hotel is spacious, clean but sometimes smoke from the kitchen entered the dining space. Plenty of toilets available and they are maintained cleanly. Cell reception is poor inside the hotel so if you're paying the bill online by Paytm/ gpay / phonepe etc, you need to step out of the hotel to catch 4G signal.

I recently visited Kamat Upchar and was extremely pleased with my experience. The service was excellent, the staff were friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was clean and pleasant. The food was also very good. I had the thali and it was delicious. The flavors were authentic and the portion was generous. The prices were also very reasonable. Overall a good experience!

I had two plates Idli and 2 plates of Mangalore buns which and a coffee which costed me 150₹. The taste was very good and staffs are very kind and helpful. You can get local special food like Mangalore buns and kotte idli/moode(idli wrapped in leaflet).Which is a local food of Mangalore which you can try whenever you visit this place. This hotel got 2 storeys of dining one on the ground floor for casual one and another for fine dine. The ambience of the restaurant was good I really liked hotel architecture made by laterite rock. Overall experience was good I suggest you visit this place for a yummy day.

Average hotel with good ambience... We ordered idli, set dosa, Vada, poori... Food was ok but the sambar was worst. Tea coffee taste was also not up to the limit... Frank opinion up to 2 star

Delicious! We had a jolada rotti meals which had variety of options with unlimited roti and rice. The meals will cost you 180rs per head which is not too costly considering the quantity and quality you get. There is a spacious parking too as well as washroom which is also cleanly maintained.

The plates are with stains and they say it is 'dhaag' and that's the reason banana leaf is kept above the plates... Washroom not neat, need to maintain the facility in a better way ..

This place has been renovated recently. On the Bangalore Mangalore highway between Kunigal and Yadiyur. Lot of parking space, but very few customers. This is a vegetarian restaurant and has restrooms.

They charge extra for all the products they sell. They add extra cost to the MRP on the products from cool drinks and beverages to packed snack items everything that has an MRP on it. Food is also not that good. Ok ok. No cleanliness No proper maintenance.

A useful stopover on the national highway. Passengers travelling in own vehicles or public transport can take a break for food and toilet. Parking space is ample and toilet is clean. Food is OK but as always expensive. There are rooms for lodging. Staff is courteous and the ambience is just about okay.

They don't have business during the day and so, they rip the customers (whom the private buses bring here in the name of rest stop) off by charging Rs.30 for a lousy tea and 80/- for a dosa.. Apart from this, they have made somebody sit by the toilet who irritatingly collects money.

Actually this place turned out to be better than expected. This has been my first place of visit since the lockdown and I was not disappointed. I ordered for a poori-sagu, which was prepared only after it was ordered. They served really hot freshly prepared 3 plate pooris with warm sagu for after noon lunch . Also the complimentary water served was hot water and this is expected in this new scenario. The service was real quick and lot many tables to make sure you adhere to social distancing . Also just observed a board which says they are certified by KSRTC. Seems that the restaurant biz is adapting to new normal and that’s a welcome sign

Very authentic food joint em route Coorg trip from Bengaluru. For people wanting to grab a quick bite with simple south Indian food, this place does great justice. The restaurant has plenty of space outside the building alongwith a small play area which allows tourists with kids and pets to relax better.
