Our second visit and it was lovely to see how they upgraded the place. Spotless clean rooms and friendly staff. Breakfast buffet on the veranda overlooking the grounds was a real treat. Will definitely visit again.

I wonderful place to stay. Very quiet and safe. Food was excellent, staff very friendly. My only gripe was that they didn't always put on the generator during load shedding, which made it quite warm some nights in the room. We will definitely return

Lovely peaceful, quiet and relaxing place to stay. Away from the hustle and bustle of city. Rooster 🐓 waking us up. Lamas roaming around, nice place to just walk in nature. Good and efficient service from the friendly staff. Fortunately they have a generator for these unpleasant item called loadshedding. Thanks we will be back.

I have been here more than twice. And both times didn’t disappoint. The staff in the restaurant are very friendly and helpful. Accommodation is very comfortable. Very simple kitchen. But there is a restaurant that has good food

Beautiful! The private ablution stands are not worth it, as they are fitted with solar panels and this is not effective at all with regard to hot water. BUT the general ablutions are stunning, clean and very user friendly. The entire camping site is beautifully clean. The restaurant is great.

Always good. A gem in the desert. Richard, owner, manager and staff are tops. Lodge facilities the best in the area. Well done.

I've stayed here 6 times on the way to Botswana and further north. Really nice place with all sorts of accommodation. Best place to stay on the way to the Kgalagadi, via McCarthy's Rest Border Post. Excellent restaurant.

Buffet menu offerings was not available through out service times. Chicken wings and Spareribs run out, which was dissapointed, because they only take pre bookings for Sunday Buffet lunch.

We stayed two nights at the premium camp site (with own ablutions) at Red Sands Country Lodge. The location is very good since it is located directly in the middle between Johannesburg and KTP. Also, the property itself is very neat and the restaurant serves good food. At the last day the internet didn’t work but the staff was extremely endeavors to help us. However, there were some points which could have been better. Our shower didn’t work properly as only extreme hot or ice cold water came. Obviously, the mixer was defect. We complained at the reception and it was promised to solve the problem. However, this was not the case until we left. So no shower for us. Moreover, the restroom was not as clean as we expected it to be. It was ok but for such a nice lodge we thought it would be even cleaner. For example, hair from previous guests and a crushed spider were still in the shower area. The bin was also not emptied. At our last night it was also quite noisy around. Of course this can depend from night to night but we couldn’t sleep well. In generell, however, we can recommend the camp site as the location is just great.

It was okay. But being "kid-friendly" meant that you felt you were intruding on a large family event at the pool; which was uncomfortable. Also there were kid sounds until after 2100 in the evening.

Great spot for a stop over. Clean and well organized. Chalets and camp sides, some with private ablution. Great restaurant- highly recommend

Whar a dissapointment we had! We were so looking forward to stay for 2 nights. Getting there, driving from far, al we wanted was a nice hot shower! 😡 alas, NO HOT WATER, even when we booked, and paid, weeks in advance! If it were not for this, we would give this place 5🌟.

We went there for an evening's presentation. The food is great. The ambience is super. It could do with furniture revamp. I'm looking forward to the Sunday buffet lunches.
