Average restaurant. The only reason we stopped here is because the taxi driver suggested it. It seems like the driver gets free food if he brings customers in. The lack of customers should have been a warning to go elsewhere!! Food is expensive, not great quality compared to most of the other places we ate at. We had the pork curry and rice. Pork was hard and mostly bones and fat with very little meat. Poor quality rice with a strange taste. Vegetables served were just about okay. The napkin came nicely folded but had stains and food particles on it and had not been washed before being reused!! It is a tourist trap and preferably avoided. Will definitely not stop here again!!

This was so nice few years back . Stopped for lunch around 4 pm . Place was untidy . Not cleaned . Plates and cutlery were discolored and not cleaned . Can be a nice place but wasted . Food was ok .

Lovely lovely location with such a traditional look and feel. This was just a toilet stop for us but we ended up sitting to have some tea as we liked the setting so much. The downside was that it's fairly pricey, so a tea cost us probably more than it would cost in the UK, but it was still lovely tasting and generally tour drivers will stop off at places which are more expensive like this. Worth a visit as a stop off in your tour journey but it's not he cheapest place.

Good place to eat along the Kurunegala-Dambulla road and right after the Yaggapitiya highway exit. The place has a huge parking space, out door seating and a very natural vibe. Tried the Nasi Goreng and it was good. It was served with Satay chicken and Omlette. Price is a bit on the expensive side. Food arrived quickly but had to wait for more than 10 minutes for the bill to arrive.

Have visited this place from about 15 years back when it was catering to local clientèle where the rice & Curry was exceptionally tasty. Later they changed the model to buffet to cater to foreigners and taste suffered. This time I visited though I was warned not to by others and found buffet was dispensed with but set menu of rice & Curry was just bland and tasteless. Chicken curry with 4 more dishes which were simply tasteless. Cost Rs.1,200 each but not worth Rs.400. We will not visit saruketha again. Lit of new places abound.

On our way from Kandalama we stopped at this place to have lunch. Unfortunately, they have stopped serving buffet tentatively because of the low number of tourists visiting their place due to the pandemic. However, we were able to order off the menu. The restaurant has a more laid back, Village style atmosphere with a garden filled with fruit and vegetable plants.

Setout and ambience is really nice with a village setup.Food was good, but not wow. Service was average! But rip off in terms of pricing. A plain 2 egg omlette with nothing was charged LKR 650, similary for SL style omlette we were charged LKR 650. Soft drinks a 300ml sprite bottle was charged 150 per bottle. In my view over priced!

My recent visit to this place was a quite unpleasant experience. Previously they had a separate place for the people who are taking liquor and a separate place for the families. So the families could enjoy their meal peacefully without mingling with the drunkards. But recently they have allowed to take liquor in the same restaurant area, where the families take their meals. As a result of that, bringing a toddler to such a place for a family meal is quite embarrassing. Meals are also not reasonable for their price and overall this place is not recommended, specially for families.
